Worse Than A Dung

Worse Than A Dung

Seeing the table filled with numerous dishes, my mouth went agape in shock.

Janice, who was at my side, couldn't help but drool when she saw the mouthwatering dishes laid on the table.

This wasn't just a normal lunch. This was a total banquet!

Seeing the varieties of dishes dutifully made by the chef, my stomach roared in hunger.

'Don't worry, stomach. I'll make sure you eat your fill today until you can eat no more'.

My face swelled up in excitement.

Janice had already made a move. She pulled over the chair next to her and sat on it as she began to eat.

I also took a chair, ready to indulge my stomach in a foodie spree.

But just as I was about to dig in, I noticed the gaze of the handsome young man before me settled on me.

Seeing that I had halted my movement, Sean immediately urged. “Come on, eat.”

“Okay.” I dug my spoon into the plate and began to eat.

Feeling the rich, flavorful taste in my mouth, my eyes squinted in delight.

So delicious. This is so delicious.

As if complementing the chef's culinary skills, my stomach roared with even more hunger.

Perhaps having gotten used to just eating a bun, it wanted to gather all the energy nutrients in one go so that it wouldn't go hungry again.

As I ate in joy, I detected that Sean hadn't made any attempt to pick up the utensil beside him.

“What about you? Aren't you eating?” I was curious as to why he wasn't eating since he was the one who invited us over.

“No.” Sean shook his head. “I'm not that hungry. You can eat as much as you want.”

“Oh.” Since he said so himself, I decided to ignore him and continued eating.

“How prepared are you for the martial arts test?” The question was darted at me.

“I've been practicing hard lately, and my martial arts skills have started to see some improvement. Even if I don't come out as the victor, I can still pass on to the next round.” I answered him confidently.

“That's good.” Seeing the confident expression on my face, Sean's lips curled up into a smile. “What about you, Lady Janice?”

“Me?” Janice didn't know how Sean knew her name.

She swallowed the food residues in her mouth before answering. “I've also seen some improvement in my skills. Like Zanillia says, even if I can't be the victor, I can at least pass on to the next round.”

“Nice talk.” Sean nodded, feeling satisfied with Janice's words.

Just as he was about to shift the conversation, a figure walked in.

Seeing the familiar face, Sean called. “Brother San.”

“So, this was where you were.” San's gaze settled on Janice and me, who were sitting behind the table, before finally shifting back to Sean. “I've been looking for you everywhere, thinking that you escaped from the palace again.”

“Don't embarrass me in front of the guest, fourth brother. That incident was long ago.” Sean's face flushed in embarrassment as he spoke.

Looks like this seventh lord also had his own mischievous adventure when he was younger.

With San's arrival, Janice and I both stood up to greet him. “Greetings, fourth lord San.”

“Hmm.” San nodded as he sat beside Sean.

Janice and I also took our seats along with him.

“How have you been during this time?” He asked me, since we didn't manage to have a proper conversation on the way.

“It was great.” I smiled as I replied to his question.

“I went to search for you the next day, but I couldn't find you in any inns. I almost thought that you were kidnapped by some evil organization.” There was a hint of worry on his face as he spoke.

That's right.

He had gone back the next day to look for Zanillia, but when he was unable to find her, he began to panic. Somewhat regretting not putting a tracking talisman on her.

“Ah, about that. No inn would allow me to lodge at their place due to the death mark on my forehead. Thankfully, a nice immortal saw that I was stranded and took me in.”

Nice? To say that Feiye was a nice person was the brutal lie I've ever uttered.

He's worse than a dung.

“Oh, that's great. Would you like to join me for a tea this evening?” He offered.

“I…” I didn't want to refuse San's offer since he had been very helpful to me. But thinking about my schedule, I could only decline him. “I'm so sorry, but I don't think I can. I have a meeting with someone this evening.”

“Is that so? If then, let's leave it at tomorrow. I'll be waiting for you.”

“Okay.” I nodded in approval this time.
