“I'm sorry about Marcus…..” I said.
I had not the slightest idea why I apologized to her. I mean, why did I do that?
She is not even legally married to me. She is just some contract deal like Marcus said and we can break that deal anytime.
But I want the peace actually unless Dimitri wants to move funny then I will be more than ready to show what stuff I am made of…
“It's okay, my love,” she answered innocently.
“What has gotten over me?”
I just couldn't get my off her. How come I didn't see all of this when she first came in?
“Damn! She is really beautiful and sexy,” the voice in my head commented.
Her skin glowed before my very eyes and my eyes almost popped out of its socket..
“Come closer,” I said in a low tone.
Her eyes winked gracefully nd she walked closer to me, her body curves showing forth and all that came to my mind was “Grab her, Roberto!!”
So, this is what I have been shutting my eyes against?
Such beauty!
That intrusive thought came up, “She is all yours. You can do to her as you like. After all, you now own her body and soul as long as the contrary agreement remains valid and in process…”
Whilst my imaginations kept pricking, Aria crawled in from nowhere to our midst and I snapped out.
“Hey!! What in the living hell are you doing out here?! Did I tell you to come out?!
“Oh, please don't,” Katherina's voice rented out carefully towards and my eyes got sucked in.
The rage in my body suddenly became calm an I couldn't fathom what just happened.
Aria burst into tears at the receipt of my voice but Katherina was quick to drawn in as she wiped her tears.
How she was able to do that still amazes me. I had trained these kids to hate virtually any person aside their father and the Mafia brothers.
Even Lucia had a share of my children's wickedness but what seem confusing and at the same time, lovely to me, is how Katherina is able to bypass all of that in just one meeting.
Aria hugged her so tight that she wasn't ready to let go.
“Aria,” I spoke in a calmer tone when I realized the moment was getting more emotional than usual…
“That's okay. Go and join your sister. I and Lady Katherina will come meet you soon, alright?” I added.
She only responded after which Katherina had nodded in agreement to her.
“Pfffff..now I wonder what spell you cast on my daughters that made them love you this much?” I uttered out loud.
“Oh, I did nothing. They are just so adorable..” she answered and her smiled faded off immediately.
“Is something wrong?” I asked out of curiosity.
“...you don't look happy. Was it because I told her to leave? Don't tell me you are sad as well?” I uttered.
She shyed away and I held her hands and kissed it, “Tell me what the issue is, Katherina.”
“Can I know where Aria and Joanne stays? They simply come out of nowhere,” she said.
That very minute, I snapped.
It was like a fuse blew up in my brain and rage charted through my veins like volts of electricity.
“Do you remember how you got here in the first place??? Don't get too comfortable. It won't take me anything to send you back to your father's city and you know what that means right?”
“War, girl. I doubt your father and little gang would be able to survive that,” I blurted out in anger.
She shrieked in fear, “Erm…..I don't mean to be rude, my love….I just wanted to…..” she stuttered.
“Shut it already, Katherina. How many times do I have to tell you not to call me your love?”
“Do you think I love you or what? You really think, I would settle for a lady like you? I'm bigger than that..You are onky here because I allowed it happen. Nothing much!” I lashed out in response.
I watched as her countenance fell before my very sight.
Out of annoyance, I dragged her by the arms and took to the secret chamber. Maybe I was caught by her tears or maybe I just thought it was right to do so, I couldn't place the reason still.
“You want to see them, uhn? Will that make you calm?” I shouted as I kept dragging her to where my daughter's secret room was.
It was never a place she could think of. Even Lucia, despite her long stay and years of working with me, I never for once showed her.
However, Marcus Bloom, was an exception….After all, he was the one who suggested I keep them hidden.
“Boss……we don't know who else we can trust as it stands….your wife might not have been the target but you or even the kids, we clever can tell…I suggest we do something about the kids soon!” His words echoed in my ears loud and clear.
“And what do you think I can do exactly??” I asked, my heart pounding seriously from Reah's loss.
“Hide them, boss. Their movement should be limited…..” he said.
We got to the entrance and I could remember the very first Aria and Joanne to the room..
“Daddy….”Aria's voice filled the sir. I could sense the fear in her tone but I was hardened and ignored it all the way.
“I know, baby, don't be scared. It's just for a little while, okay? Til Dad find those who did those bad things to mommy,” I responded.
“This is the place, I uttered to Katherina who was on her kneels.
“Do you have anything to say or what? We can't just stand outside here. I have business to handle, young lady,” I spoke out rudely with a frowned face.
Her eyes seemed weak and her voice became lazy. “What a soft being…just like Reah,” I said to myself.
“Now are you ready to start performing the actual wife duties for me or you want to go snooping around what isn't your business?””
