Chapter 135 – Vengence

Adrian sat in the dark in his car as he glared at the abandoned building that was in front of him. He had followed that she-wolf to this location, and after doing a quick check around the perimeter, he knew that this was the place they were holding his possession hostage.

Adrian was waiting for a group of his warriors to meet him before going inside the place and wreaking havoc. From the scents he could pick up during his run, he was able to pick up the smells of a few male wolves, Hannah’s scent, a male human whom Adrian had no idea why he was even there, and the girl. He tapped his fingers on the steering wheel as he tried to wait patiently. He knew going in there by himself would only get him into trouble, and he wanted to have the upper hand when he destroyed that vile woman for thinking she could take something that was his.

Adrian sucked in a deep breath, and a wicked smile crossed his face. His pack was getting close, and soon, he would be able to teach that woman a lesson she would never forget.

Natalie ventured back into the study after her attempt at making supper was a disaster. She warned her man that she had a feeling that her meal wouldn’t be as delicious as she usually made it. But the stubborn man refused to listen. Natalie strolled around the room, looking at all the bookshelves and seeing if there was something she had missed. She turned and looked over in a corner and saw a speck of green light she had not seen before. Her curiosity got the best of her as she strolled closer to the light. Natalie’s brows furrowed as she was curious as to why this little spec had fallen on a random spot on a map. Natalie peered closer to see the area that the flake was sitting on. She pulled out her phone and started to use the maps on her phone to get a better idea of the industrial place.

“Gavin,” she yelled out, even though she knew he would have heard her if she had used her normal voice.

Gavin rushed into the room, worried that something had happened to his mate. “What’s wrong? Are you hurt?” he asked as he looked her over, making sure that she was okay.

Natalie shook her head as she waved her hand in the air to stop him. “I’m fine. I need you to get ahold of Jacob in the way you do with your pack members.”

Gavin chuckled at his cute little redhead. “You mean mind-link him. Why?” he asked curiously.

Natalie pointed to the map on the table and then handed him her phone to get a better look.

“I think I know where Cass is being held captive.”

Jacob howled at the moon when he heard the location of where his mate could be being held hostage. It was the first clue they had received that could lead them to where she might be, and he didn’t want to take the chance of her being there and missing out on the opportunity to rescue her.

He shifted quickly into his wolf and took off running in that direction. He mind-linked Raymond, giving him the exact directions that Gavin had given him, and hoped his warriors would be following closely behind in support.

He reached out to Teddy to give him the news.

Jacob: Teddy, it’s time. I need you to come with me to the abandoned building on Gramercy. Natalie found some clues on a map in the grandfather’s study, and I don’t want to take a risk if it’s true.

Teddy: I’ll be there; the elders are almost here. Once they get here, I will head toward that way. We will find her, Jacob.

Teddy reassured his Alpha.

Jacob stayed silent and hoped that his friend knew how much he appreciated his support. He was asking a lot from his friends and pack members, but this was all to save the future Luna of their pack. Jacob was nervous and worried about what he was going to be running into when he got there. He swore under his breath that if he found his girl hurt in any way, there would be hell to pay.

Hannah crawled as quickly as she could backward as she kept her eye on the man who stood before her. Adrian was covered in blood as he casually followed Hannah in the direction that she was trying to get away from but was not making any headway. Her heart raced as her ribs hurt, and one of her legs was twisted in the wrong direction. Hannah was stupid to think that he wouldn’t follow her after the threats he had made in regard to the human. “Adrian, please, I’m sorry. I was stupid to try and kidnap her; I didn’t realize how important she was to you.” she stuttered. “Please, I meant no harm.” she pleaded as she tried to wiggle herself out of her situation.

She felt herself hit a wall and knew there was nowhere else to run to.

Adrian walked up to her and squatted down next to her. “Oh, Hannah, Hannah. If only you hadn’t let your jealousy and pride cloud your instincts and the choices you’ve made. We wouldn’t be here right now in this predicament. You would have been a great asset to me for future endeavors, but I can’t trust you around the thing I value most. Such a pity,” he said with a sigh.

He grabbed her around her neck and started to squeeze.

A ferocious growl rumbled the abandoned building.

And the sound being yelled out in their Alpha voice from across the room.

“ADRIAN!!!!”
