Chapter Sixty-four: The Dark Mage

Vlad and I had just stopped time. In doing so, we trapped a dark mage who tried to attack us. My other mates come running including Sam holding the birdcage.

“Transfigri reversi,” I say to restore Vincent to his humanoid form.

“Don't ever do that again!” Vincent hisses.

I roll my eyes, “Don't make me!”

Eric sighs, “When everything froze in the castle we knew it was you!”

I drop Vlad's hand, “Well us.”

Vlad is looking at her, so I ask, “Do you know her?”

Vlad sighs as he nods, “Yes.”

“Ex?” I ask.

Vlad nods, so I continue, “What was she before this?”

“Witch that became a vampire,” he says coldly.

“Lovely!” I retort as I make a ball of sunlight and anchor it to her with silver enchanted shackles that will prohibit her from chanting. If a witch can't chant, she can't cast! “Well let's take her to the dungeon.”

Eric looks at me, “Do you believe now, Eva?”

“Drop it!” I yell as I glare at him.

He sighs, “One of these days you'll have to accept what you cannot change.”

I ignore him, “Everyone touch me, I'll get us to the dungeon.”

I port us there as Vlad says, “Well that will take getting used to.”

Sam nods at Vlad, “I'm right there with you on that man. I'm still trying not to float in my sleep.”

Vincent rolls his eyes at them, “Whatever!”

“Vincent!” Eric yells.

I giggle when Eric says, “Keep it up and I'll let Eva turn you into whatever she wishes!”

I grin evilly, “Or I could summon hundreds of cats and prevent you from running away!”

Vlad adds, “I could help too.”

Vincent puts his hands in the air in defeat, “Let's drop it!”

Eric nods, “Good choice.”

I bark my orders, “Vincent, shock her to wake her. Eric fetch Marcus and Artemis. But first here.” I offer my wrist. He takes a small portion and then gives me a kiss and ports to get Marcus and Artemis.

Vincent takes in a breath, “The scent of your blood is stronger now.”

Sam sniffs, “Definitely!”

I sigh, “Great, just great!”

“It will be fine. Only us few know,” Vincent says in an attempt to reassure me.

I sigh, “It needs to stay that way!”

After I healed from offering Eric my blood and he returned with Marcus and Artemis, Vincent shocked the dark mage.

She looks at Vlad, “My love, why'd do this to me?”

This is when I examine her. She's very pale and gaunt with stringy black hair and dark eyes. Gone is any beauty that she once possessed. I see nothing that a man like Vlad would find attractive.

With newfound confidence, I laugh at the pathetic site before me.

The mage asks, “Why is the food laughing?”

Vlad smirks, “She's not food!”

The dark mage, called Natashia, asks Vlad, “Don't tell me you found another mortal after Elena left?”

Vlad replies coldly, “She didn't leave!”

I shake my head as I address Vlad, “Oh the bitch knows! She's easy to read!”

Natashia mockingly replies, “Oh another psychic like Elena, how fitting.”

I burst out laughing, “First, I put you here not Vlad!”

Natasha interrupts, “You're human nothing more!”

I scoff, “I'm human but way beyond what you can comprehend it seems. Everything you can do, I can do better. Because I am everything while when I'm through with you, you'll be nothing but a pile of ash!”

“Your eyes, Eva!” Vlad warns.

Vincent says to him, “Brother, just watch and learn! My love is in control for now.”

Marcus warns, “Natashia!”

I tell him, “She tried to kill me! Turns out she's obsessed with Vlad and sold her soul. She's a dark mage now as you can see.”

Artemis asks, “Why are you here, Natashia? You were told to never return to my son's kingdom!”

She flatly replies, “He belongs with a truly powerful vampiress, not these pitiful mortals he converts!”

I decide to suppress her a bit, “Kneel bitch!”

Natashia worriedly says, “You…… you can't. Marcus, you're helping her!”

Marcus grins, “Nope my help is the last thing Eva would require to kill you!”

“Everything a vampire can do, I can. Everything a witch can do I can too,” I say flatly.

I shift into half wolf form, “I'm also not restricted to any form. Like right now, just one swift motion of my claw will cause you to lose your head.”

I shift back and shake out my arms. Shifting felt a bit odd this time, “But I prefer this form.”

Natashia exclaims, “Impossible!”

I grin, “Yet you just saw it. Seeing is believing! Vlad dear bring in what she fears.”

Vlad smirks, “With pleasure!” As thousands of spiders of all varieties flood the room. She screams which makes me giggle.

I wink at the guys because I feel like showing off, “Watch this!”

I point to three of the spiders and they enlarge to this size of small ponies. I put my hand out and an extremely huge tarantula comes over to me. I hop on its back and go over and get into her face. “Now can a human do all of this? The answer is NO!!!”

My mates come beside me as I continue, “The men beside me are extraordinary as well. We are all far more than we seem. We know you're working for someone and well you'll just lead us right to him. Put your hands on her gentlemen, let's go raise a bit of hell while delivering a message!”

We place our hands on her. We are linked back to a castle. Its design is different than Vlad's so I'm assuming it's not in Romania. We see a vampiress sitting on a throne beside a vampire. He has an odd amulet on.

Vlad points to the beautiful red-headed vampiress, “That's Elena!”

Right now, I'm thankful that my mates can converse with me telepathically even when we astral project.

“And her captor the necromancer,” I say.

Vlad nods, “Yes, that's Merdon!”

I need to get close to her, “I'll say hi to Elena first.”

I whisper in her ear. I say that I'm the bitch that will set her free. I tell her no one is ordering me to but as a way to repay my favor, we must speak face to face. I tell her we will be there soon.

Then I go to Merdon. I whisper in his ear that Natashia failed and the bitch she tried to kill will be seeing him soon. I tell him to bear witness to a taste of what's to come. Then I have it pour rain on both of them. Echoes of my laughter ring out in their throne room.

When we return to our bodies, Vincent exclaims, “My love, seriously!”

I grin, “I couldn't resist. I had to get her wet so he wouldn't suspect that I wish to aid her.”

Eric beams, “Well done, I just sensed that he's confused now and a bit frightened. He will assume you're a human witch now.”

I smile, “Let him severely underestimate me. Men have done it all my life!”

Sam yells, “Eva!”

I sigh, “Fine, excluding those in this room.”

Sam winks, “Better.”

“Now, Vlad you can let our little friends tear her limb from limb after they drain her or you can test out some of your new abilities?” I ask as I offer him my wrist.

He looks to Vincent who tells him, “Your choice, I made mine weeks ago. She's my mate and my eternity!”

Natashia rolls her dead eyes, “We don't live forever.”

“Oh, but gods do!” I smile.

Natashia shakes her head, “They don't exist anymore!”

“Nothing ever ceases to exist. That energy goes somewhere and well that's where us gods and goddesses come in. We absorb and distribute power which is the gift of life. Tonight yours expires for good!” I explained.

Natashia exclaims, “It can't be!”

“But yet it is! Your opinion is your opinion. Your perception is your perception, but don't confuse them with facts and truths! -John Moore” I quote.

I look at her, “I'm here in flesh and bone but yet so much more. I'm the light and the dark. I could explode Earth with just a tiny spark. Yet all I seek isn't for the beings to bow at my feet, but instead, justice that all shall meet!”

Vlad takes my wrist and offers me his. What I just said must have resonated with him. But I didn't say it for his benefit. I said it because it's the truth and how I feel.
