I port myself to our bedroom. I didn't know I could do that, but I guess now I can. I love these guys, but something just feels different. The guys make their way in. I sigh, “I'm not sure I can handle all three of you right now.”
Sam gives me a soft smile, “Eva, it is alright. We can take turns.”
Vincent cocks his head, “Before we get to that, Eva did you make yourself invisible and run here or did you just teleport?”
I'm still confused by how my abilities are manifesting and how quickly too, “Ummm, ported.”
Vincent looked at the guys before he looked into my eyes, “Men, we have truly been blessed. Because only a God, angel, or creature of darkness and shadows can do that like you did, where you just vanished. A witch could walk into an enchanted mirror or perhaps make a visible portal but it would be an extremely gifted witch and take much effort.”
Eric looks at me and says, “Eva port outside of the sliding glass door and then back, please.”
I trust him so I do as he asked. I just effortlessly moved from place to place in the blink of an eye.
Sam gasps, “Well the White Wolf couldn't do that!”
With his eyes full of admiration, Vincent states, “You're a goddess Eva! A goddess of flesh and bone sent to aid in the prevention of extinction.”
Sam nods, “I think so as well. It was where the research was leading before I had to rush to Stranger Things. She's either a demigoddess, goddess, or angel as I highly doubt that she could be a demon or other creature of darkness and shadows.”
I shake my head, “I highly doubt any of this.”
Eric smiles as he takes my hand, “I don't. There's too much levity and feistiness in you to be a creature of darkness and shadows, so the only other possibility is that you're a goddess of some sort. Because I doubt you're an angel.”
Sam ponders his statement for a second, “Just because no angels come to Earth anymore doesn't mean that she couldn't be or perhaps she's a hybrid.”
I am trying to fight the haze but it is growing impossible and I am also battling my own frustration of not knowing what I am, “If I were a goddess or angel, you would think that I could fight the haze.”
Sam kisses my cheek, “Maybe you're not supposed to. Maybe none of us are.”
I snap my fingers and I'm nude. I sigh, “Who knows, but I'm going to get a bath. I will let you guys decide how we are doing tonight.”
I go and prepare my bath. It's been a long day and the haze will make it a long night too. Since meeting those three, I've noticed that I sleep less which is rather odd. Maybe Vincent and Eric were onto something. Maybe I'm a goddess. But then we are back to the same questions. How? Why me? Why now? What ritual were the witches going to use to stop me from interfering? Who's the Vampire King this time? I hate not having answers almost as much as I hate not having a way to find the answers I so
desperately desire.
I'm lounging in my bubbles and essential oils of neroli and lavender when I feel a kiss on my forehead and my hair being stroked by a gentle hand. “May I join you?” Eric asks.
He's trying to show restraint. It's endearing really because we both know that the longer we are near each other the less control we will have. He likes control and order as much as I do. I smile, “Yes, you may.”
I move and he slips in behind me. We lay like that enjoying the calm before the storm, before we lose ourselves in each other. It's nice albeit short-lived. His hands that were once so leisurely caressing my body turn firm and insistent. I turn and our eyes meet. His are a swirling mix of pure fire and I see
mine of blues, greens, gold, and purple reflected in his.
It's memorizing. We are pulled into one another. Like moths to a flame. There's no fighting it. No matter what we try, we're still bound together. We succumb to the irresponsible force binding us. Our lips devour one another. Hands roam and grasp at our most intimate areas. His hands, my hands, it doesn't matter because we can't get enough. We need more. He pulls me on top of him and I slink easily onto his shaft. We both groan in satisfaction.
We kiss as we ride towards climax. I feel light but also incredibly warm near boiling even as if I was on fire but not feeling the pain as the flames scorched my flesh. No, this fire was blissful, no pain, only pleasure. We both scream out each other's names as we find our release. We fall into one another. As we regain ourselves that's when we notice…
“Where did the water go?” I ask.
After looking around he says, “There's more steam in here than I remember as well.”
We both begin to laugh because we realize that the heat of our passion evaporates water. Talk about hot and heavy sex!
We smile at each other as I tell him, “Well, that's new.”
He nods, “Most certainly is. I'd say I'm sorry about disrupting your bath, but I'd be lying.”
We smile and laugh. We opt for a shower. I threw on an oversized t-shirt that I found near the towels. We walk into my room to see Sam and Vincent looking at us. Huh? I just called Vincent's and I's room mine. From the smirk on his face, he heard that thought. He is so infuriating at times and this would be one of those! I just shake my head.
Sam chuckles, “So now you both evaporate water?”
Eric nods, “Guess we do.”
I feel a bit self-conscious. What if the guys get jealous of each other because of what abilities surface? I can't have that happen, I love them. I try to explain, “It's not like we can control what our bodies choose to do.”
Sam looks at the other guys, “Well maybe if more knew the force the haze holds they'd look at us shifters a bit differently. We try to fight it but as you now know it's futile.” He extends his hand to me, “Now follow me, Eva.”
—————Eric’s POV———-
If this is just the start of the haze, we are in for a long season. I was barely able to restrain myself. I am sure there will come a time when I can't. Why is it so powerful with Eva? Sam is even confused by it and he's hazed before. This intensity has to be for a reason. What if Sam's right that it's used for procreation?
I had given up the idea of fathering a pure vampire. Even those that found their mates had issues. Why more vampires are turned instead of made. Those made are instantly more powerful and have abilities even if they're latent and may skip future generations.
Vincent and I were both humans once at least I thought so, but our markers were descendants of born vampires. Why we carry the power that we do. Does this genetic history make us more viable mates to Eva? Is this why she was chosen for us, to birth gods?
