As Sam and I enter the cabin, he turns to me, “With everything coming, let
me take care of you tonight. I'll draw you a bath. I need to talk with the vampires. Try not to listen in, please.”
“Why?” I ask because I can sense that they're all up to something.
“Because I asked,” he says tersely.
Oh, that's not going to fly with me. I dealt with that shit with Victor and since these men are my immortal mates I won't tolerate this as I did. I don't want a future of holding back or being forced to obey.
I bite back, “I'm gonna need a better reason than that. I am not some girl who jumps when her man says to!”
He growls, “You’re so stubborn!”
“And you're being an ass right now,” I say as I glare at him.
Next thing I know, I'm pinned against the door and his lips are on mine. That pressure begins to build inside again. I can see it in his eyes too. He's been fighting it all day too ever since our run. We just become consumed by desire. It's like we no longer have control over our bodies. They have a mind of their own and are fueled by one thing, lust.
He pulls my shorts and panties down at the same time. I unbutton his jeans and pull down his zipper. He lifts me and thrusts into me. We both scream with pleasure. After several minutes of kissing, neck biting, and being overcome by a frantic rhythm we are both panting
but sated for now. He carries me to the bathroom. He sits me on the counter and starts the bath.
He chuckles, “Well I didn't plan on doing
that until later.”
I know how he feels. Yes, the sex is outstanding, but we just have no control over it. Our bodies dictate everything and it's such an alien feeling too.
“There has to be some way to regain control of our bodies. Not that it wasn't enjoyable, but what happens if it's not a
good time?” I ask.
Sam just holds me, “I understand your reasoning, but I don't have an answer for
it. When you stood up to me, your scent flared it just became overwhelming and all I could sense. I couldn't stop myself.”
“Couldn’t or didn't?” I ask him.
“I didn't try, so I'm not sure. But you didn't try to push me away either,” he tells me.
He's right. I didn't resist. I didn't want to. I strip off the rest of my clothes and get into the bathtub.
He kisses my forehead, “Just try to relax and enjoy. I'll be in the living room with the others. Please try not to spy.”
“Then stay out of my head too!” I clap back.
He shakes his head and leaves. I wash my hair and body. I lay back and close my eyes trying to focus on nothing, but it's proving difficult. I feel like I'm not alone. It's an odd feeling as I've been on my own most of my life except for the last few years with Katie.
Even more then just not feeling alone, I sense my mates. I don't know how to describe it other than have you ever had that feeling of being wrapped in a warm blanket but it's removed from your body but you still feel it? It's like that but amplified. It's like they are in the bathroom with me. I can smell them, feel them, and hear them breathing. It's like our relationship is a living entity on its
own.
As I open my eyes, I say out loud, “Still just me, so weird.”
I close my eyes again and sink into the warm water. I rub my neck and just let my hands roam as my thoughts do.
Everything just feels intensified. This can't be what mated wolves feels like? They lead normal lives, at least I think they do. I allow my thumb to massage my clit while my fingers curl inside me
hitting that pleasurable spot. I'm the only one in this bathroom, so I decide to be daring with myself. Slight moans escape my lips. Finally, I climax and it's glorious.
Once the euphoria subsided, I
opened my eyes to look for a towel.
I found my towel being held by Vincent as all three of them looked at me with hungry eyes.
I bite my lip, “Umm.”
I know I'm probably red from my
head down to my toes. Vincent does too, “Nothing to be embarrassed about. Quite the opposite actually.”
“I…I just couldn't block it out
anymore. It felt like you were
in there with me even though
you weren't because I looked,” I try to explain.
Sam says, “It's the haze, Eva.”
“But it's just a wolf thing, so why did I include them? Their presence felt as strong as yours,” I tell Sam.
“Well that's what we were talking about,” Vincent admits.
I'm confused but I want to learn more so I urge him to continue.
“We feel it too,” Vincent reveals.
“It's not as intense as the wolf haze but it's unlike what we've experienced before,” Eric adds.
I'm trying to process this, “But you know mated vampires, they don't haze do
they?”
“No!” Vincent says flatly.
“Then what's this?” I ask.
Sam grins, “You.”
“I'm not doing anything,” I say.
Eric takes my hand, “But you're what's different. It's the only thing we can think of.”
I feel the tension mounting, “Why are you all in this bathroom?”
Sam cocks his head as his wolfish grin spreads, “Even though I'm not hazed,
well…”
Vincent takes a step closer to me, “Sensed your arousal before we heard it.”
Eric lightly bites my neck, “And we still do!”
