“Brandon, come take a walk with me,” I say as
I extended my hand to him and he took it. I used my free hand to snap my fingers to create clothing on his body. Then I looked at my mates.
“You will not eavesdrop!” Bael laughed so I glared at him, “That goes for you too!”
Vincent chuckled as he looked at a shocked Bael. Apparently, he isn't used to not getting his way. Vincent teased, “How is being the Demon King working out for you now?”
I motion for Brandon to give me a minute. I look at the men that fate brought into my life and the rest of the people in my living room. “We are a team and a family. There will be no infighting.
Do I make myself clear?”
Sam chuckles as he looks at Levi, “Now, I understand why you said we are her ammunition.”
Morgan jokes, “We all should feel her because she has bonded with us all. I still question her choice of mates though.”
Vincent smirks, “It sounds to me like the naked pussy is jealous.”
“Vincent!” I warn because I still don't understand why he provokes, especially Morgan, as he does. I conjure six cats to surround him. “If you antagonize another person here or keep on with Morgan as you have been, these cats will attack and you can't harm them.”
He looks at me, challenging me, and asks, “And why is that?”
“Because each is a piece of me, courtesy of the children.”
Morgan does her purry laugh, “Batboy, it is time that you learn never to challenge your goddess.”
I laughed. “I will be back. Behave, all of you!” I said as I left with Brandon for a short walk.
**Morgan’s POV**
This is going to be a long eternity.
Even if our bodies are damaged all of our souls will return. We are eternally bound, but these men are still failing to see it. It now also makes sense why Eva brought back Levi. Her soul reached for Bael through Levi, but I think it also might have anticipated Astaroth's return. I know that Eva is worried about losing Sam, but she won't. My wonderous mate saw to that. Oh, how I miss Guinevere. When her soul is born into her new body, it is going to be so hard not to embrace her.
I will have to restrain myself and I can't tell her all that we had. I have to wait and hope that she remembers on her own and accepts our bond.
Because there is a chance that she could reject me or even be linked to another. My mate was created by a goddess after all and I am merely a witch who was fortunate enough to be granted immortality and now an eternal life thanks to my goddess, Eva.
My thoughts are interrupted by Vlad's laugh as he taunts his brother, “I never thought that I would see my brother surrounded by so much pussy that he can't touch.”
“Fuckoff!” Vincent bellows.
Eric sighs, “Vlad, stop antagonizing him.”
Vlad smirks, “It is payback.”
Vincent replies, “You deserved it because you were a womanizing prick.”
Vlad tries to defend himself, “The keyword is 'were'. However, you still are a prick.”
This is going to be an even longer eternity than I thought.
**End Morgan’s POV**
Brandon squeezes my hand as he says, “I have a question before we get into the meat of this discussion.”
“Okay, what is it?” We are nearly to the pond that has the lily pads on it. I don't want to wander too far away from the house, but I don't think that Raven or any who aid her are nearby. When I banished her, I picked up remnants of her energy. Theoretically, I should be able to sense her or any that she has touched. I also think that the babies and the Qwarks have helped with that too. I just don't know how.
“What is going on with Vincent? He is more confrontational than when you first brought him around. Vlad, I oddly like now, and Eric too. Sam, I always liked him, but there is something about Vincent,” he says.
“What about Bael?” I asked because I want to better understand how Brandon thinks especially since I know that he is a Hunter and there is a reason he's bound to me.
Brandon sighs, “Hunters know very little about demons. We know that they easily blend in with humans and have fought to prevent our extinction. However, it is rarely for altruistic reasons. Is he really your mate too?”
We arrive at the pond and I motion for him to sit beside me. “My parents had a plan for me. I was to have three mates in order to keep the balance; one of the light, one of the dark, and one neutral.
Sam was and is my light. My neutrality was supposed to be a member of the Arcana, the group that Artemis was a part of. Bael is my darkness.”
Brandon says, “That only accounts for three mates and doesn't explain the Black Brothers.”
I laugh. “Shit happens! None of the Arcana remained neutral. Artemis was the last who tried but he chose a side when he saved Vincent and then sired Vlad. Also, their souls had they never found me were owed to Bael.” I laugh harder. “Bael is the demon that Vlad thought he swindled.”
Brandon laughs “I bet he regrets it now too.”
“He likely does but is too much of an ass to admit it.”
Brandon runs his hand over his face as he sighs, “Speaking of, I owe you an apology for all of these years.”
I shake my head, “No, we are good.”
Just then, my phone rings. It was a panicked Rick because Derek was missing. I grab Brandon’s hand, “Derek needs us. We gotta go!”
