Morgan hisses, “Seriously Eva.”
Agnes says, “You must stop denying it.”
Morgan explains, “Soon she won't be able to as they grow. They will communicate, Eva. It will be more than the heartbeats that I already hear.”
Cassius shakes his head, “Sis, I just don't see it.”
“See what?”
Cassius throws up his hands, “Any of this!”
Vlad chuckles, “Oh, I so understand,” as he kisses me he picks me up and places me by the other guys, “When my brother first called after decades of silence, I thought he was insane. Then Eva made herself known,” he stops to laugh before he continues, “She remotely controlled nature and even assaulted me. She did it to prove that she could reach me from anywhere without much effort. No Earthly being can do that, not even one as powerful as Morgan.”
Morgan purrs, “He's correct.”
Vlad nods, “So if Eva can do that, then I have zero doubts that she's a goddess. If those children say she's a descendant of creation, then that's exactly what she is. So you, my new brother, must accept that too.”
Vincent leans over and kisses my cheek as he opens our mindlink, ‘He’s changed.”
I respond back to him through our link, ‘No this was always there. The torture from his human life
repressed this because he confused compassion and understanding with weakness.’
Vincent Black asks, ‘You sure?’
‘Yes just as I am that you confused love in the exact same way he did.’
Vincent laughs as he says out loud, “I was an idiot!”
“You were.”
Vincent strokes my face, “Forgive me.”
“I was never upset so there's nothing to forgive.”
Vincent leans in close, “I love you.”
I smile into our kiss, “And I you.”
Our intimate moment is interrupted by Cassius yelling my name. I reluctantly pull my lips away from Vincent’s, “Yes.”
Cassius asks, “How.”
“Our souls, Cass. We have both been through torment and anguish but we didn't condemn ourselves to darkness. You didn't jump.”
Cassius says, “I didn't because you stopped me.”
“Did I? No, I was just there as a wolf. You stopped yourself. Only after that did I reveal myself to you. I would've caught you if you had, but you didn't know that at the time.”
Cassius blinks a few times, “Why?”
“Because I felt the good in you. Why I wanted to be the first to find you. I didn't know you were mine until I touched you. Only then did I know you were my brother.”
Elena chimes in, “Cass it just Is. We are bound! I know you can feel it too. Even if we weren't related in any way, you would still feel that pull, trust me.”
Marcus wraps his arms around Elena from behind, “The need to be near.”
“How you can sense if you're needed,” Artemis said as he looked at Vincent, Vlad, and then me, “Listen to me, Cass. A millennia ago, I did something that I swore I wouldn't.”
Cassius interrupts, “That was the time of the war, correct?”
Artemis nods, “Yes, it was. I was part of the Arcana and we swore our fealty to remain neutral. But I broke that vow the day I saw Vincent kill his wife before she could become Raven's ghoul. Even as Vincent was dying he gave his human life to do the right thing. I couldn't let him lose his soul because he helped save us all. So I made him a vampire and raised him as my son. I felt bound to him then and now I'm bound to Vlad and Eva too. They led to you all coming together, don’t you see, we are all connected.”
Morgan purrs, “Power begets power.”
Agnes smiles, “We all serve a purpose.”
Katie beams, “To end Raven and bring life!”
Morgan purrs as she rubs against her leg, “Yes, my witchy one. Yes, we do!”
Elena tries to convince Cass, “So Eva and I share Mormo as our father. Cass, you and Eva share creation as your mother. Just accept it as we have.”
Cassius shakes his head, “My father was a wolf. I was told that my mother died in childbirth. So none of this can be true.”
“Well I never knew mine, so maybe she is dead because she died after giving you life.”
Morgan looks at me, “I see you both thinking. She's alive!”
Cassius asks, “Why abandon us? Why desert her own children?”
Vlad says, “I can answer that,” as he takes me in his arms, “Love.” I look at him like he's possessed. He kisses me as he chuckles, “Just listen. Your mother did it out of love. Leaving you all was her greatest sacrifice the same sacrifice that Mormo did. They did it to protect you all. Their sacrifice created the strongest magic. That magic shrouded your powers and became the ultimate glamour. Your blood is the only thing
that sets you apart,” He looks at Elena, “Yours had the underlying floral note to it. I couldn't place it until I had Eva's,” He looks at Cass as he grins, “You would have similar but more towards strawberries.”
I blush and Vincent moves closer to me and Vlad as he stares into my eyes, “My love it's just a part of you. A very addictive part too.”
Katie warns, “Vincent back away!”
Vincent smirks, “Make me!”
Katie huffs, “Fine, I will! I think you need a cold shower!” As she finished saying it, ice water rained down on Vincent's head.
“Nice one, Sis!”
“Eva!” Eric bellows because my sass arouses him.
“What? She didn't even chant.”
Katie gasps, “But I…”
Morgan purrs, “You did that! You are a gray witch. It was always there, just hidden until your mate unlocked it.”
“Spell?”
Morgan swished her tail, “I suspect so.”
Cassius takes Katie into his arms before he looks at the cats, “Why?”
Agnes nods, “Protection. Fate needed you all to be here now. Not yesterday or tomorrow but now. Right now!”
Elena claps, “We are bound!”
Agnes purrs, “Yes.”
Morgan grins, “Cass, all will become clearer once you mate.”
Sam chuckles and Morgan turns to him, “I might regret this, but what?”
Sam chuckles louder as he wraps his arms around me to pull me close, “Nothing is clearer Morgan. My magnificent mate has other mates. Her mates are vampires. Well, were vampires. We lose days, Morgan. We blackout now. We can't sever the link or even mute it for one minute. Just how did fate and creation design this?”
Morgan bows her head, “Your wolf knows. You should ask him. Because your wolf claimed her instantly just as Cass's did Katie. Nothing can break that bond. Get out of your head and just feel! For fucksake, Dracula just said he loved Eva! If that jackass can accept it, so can you! Drop that Alpha male bullshit!”
Vincent laughs now that he's all dry. He looks at Sam as he kisses my cheek, “Sam it just is. Nothing will change it or take her from us. This is our eternity. By the gods, do I wish she were just mine and only my child lives inside her, but it could be worse. I could've died never finding her,” Then he kisses me.
Eric strokes my hair as I kiss Vincent, “Sam everything is fine. Nothing will take her away.”
Sam holds me tighter as he growls, “You can't be certain!”
Eric says, “I can guarantee that.”
Sam pulls me back into him forcing me to break my kiss with Vincent, “How?”
Eric takes that opportunity to give me a quick kiss before he looks at Sam, “I've seen it.”
Sam loosens his grip, “When?”
Eric strokes my cheek, “When the children took us to the birth of creation. We are eternally bound!” then he kisses me.
***Sam’s POV***
I think I have been very chill about this whole thing, but it's starting to fuck with me. I finally found my mate after an extremely long time, but she's not just mine, she's theirs too. How can she love us all? However, I am pretty sure she is carrying one of my pups. I can feel the pup too. There is a reason we are all connected, but it is exhausting. I can see the toll that it's taking on Eva too. When is enough, enough? Also why me and not my twin brother? Why was I fated for Eva and not him or us both?
Blood…blood is the key. Vlad said as much. There is something in our blood that links us all, but how do I find it? Is it only my blood or do some of my family have a bit too but I ended up with more somehow? Who put it there, and why?
