Chapter Two Hundred And Twelve
Weeks go by........
Adam and tia still leaving that dream life.
The morning was quiet until the doorbell rang.
Tia wiped her hands on her apron, wondering who it could be.
When she opened the door, a delivery man stood there, holding a large bouquet of red roses and a small white box wrapped neatly in gold ribbon.
“Good morning, ma’am,” he said, smiling. “Delivery for Miss Tia.”
Tia blinked. “For me?”
“Yes, ma’am. From Mr. Adam Black.”
Her heart gave a tiny jump. “Oh,” she murmured, signing the delivery slip quickly. The man handed some flowers and a white box before leaving.
She walked back inside, setting the bouquet on the table. There was a card attached.
She opened it slowly.
> Wear this and come to B&B Enterprises by 3 PM. There’s an important meeting, and I want you there. — Adam.
Tia frowned a little but smiled at the same time.
“Important meeting? Since when does he need me for that?” she said to herself. Still, curiosity got the better of her. She opened the white box and froze.
Inside was a long, elegant designer gown — soft cream in color, with delicate lace and a beautiful flow that shimmered slightly under the light. It wasn’t just a dress.
It was something special. Something romantic.
Tia laughed under her breath. “What are you up to, Adam Black?”
She didn’t know this was the day everything would change.
\---
By afternoon, Tia was standing in front of the mirror, dressed in the gown. Her hair was loosely curled, and the soft makeup she wore gave her a calm, confident glow.
She took one last deep breath before walking out of the room.
A black SUV was waiting outside. The driver greeted her politely and opened the door.
“Mr. Black asked me to take you straight to the company,” he said.
She nodded and stepped in. As they drove through the familiar streets, memories rushed back — the long hours, the board meetings, the stress, and the laughter she once shared with everyone there. It felt strange returning after so long.
When the car stopped in front of B&B Enterprises, Tia looked up. The entire building seemed unusually quiet. She didn’t see anyone outside. It felt odd.
Maybe it really was an important meeting.
She smoothed her gown, held her small purse tightly, and stepped inside. The lobby was dark — not completely, but dim enough to make her pause.
“Hello?” she called softly.
Then suddenly — the lights came on.
Tia gasped.
The entire downstairs hall was decorated with white flowers, golden ribbons, and twinkling fairy lights. On the wide wall in front of her, in bold, shining letters, were the words:
“WILL YOU MARRY ME AGAIN?”
Her hand flew to her mouth. “Oh my God…” she whispered.
The people around her began clapping softly. She saw familiar faces — her old colleagues, smiling and cheering. And there, at the center of it all, stood Adam.
Tall, handsome, in a dark suit, his eyes locked on her as if she were the only person in the world.
Beside him stood little Andy, dressed neatly in a small tuxedo, holding a tiny box in his hands. When he saw his mother, he grinned from ear to ear. “Mommy!” he called. “Daddy said today is a surprise day!”
Tia couldn’t hold back the tears. “Oh, Andy…” she whispered, her heart melting.
Then, from the side, she saw Natasha waving happily. “I told you he’d do something crazy!” Natasha shouted playfully. “He’s been planning this for weeks!”
Tia blinked in shock. “Wait— you all knew?”
Natasha laughed. “Everyone knew except you!”
At that moment, Victoria stepped forward. Her face was calm but full of regret. “Tia,” she said softly.
Tia was surprised to see Victoria again the same person who made her life miserable.
“Before anything else, I just want to say I’m sorry. For everything I caused between you two. For the things I said, and the lies I believed. You didn’t deserve any of that.”
Tia looked at her quietly, then smiled weakly through tears. “Thank you, Victoria.”
" Please forgive me tia " Victoria said
" I did a long time ago " tia said softly.
They both hugged.
Victoria nodded. “You both belong together. Everyone knows that now.”
And then, the room grew silent again as Adam walked toward her.
He stopped right in front of her, his eyes never leaving hers. Slowly, he took her hands in his.
“Tia,” he said quietly, his voice trembling a little. “I don’t even know where to start.”
She just looked at him, already crying.
“I’ve made mistakes,” he continued, “more than I can count. I let my pride, my anger, and my fears come between us. I lost the woman who loved me more than anyone else ever could. But somehow, fate brought us back together. You forgave me when I didn’t deserve it. You gave me another chance to be a father, a man, and the husband I should’ve been.”
Tia covered her mouth, trying to stop the sob building in her chest.
He smiled faintly. “So today, I’m asking you one thing…”
He went down on one knee, pulling a small box from Andy’s hand. Andy grinned proudly, whispering, “Go on, Daddy.”
Adam opened the box. Inside was a beautiful diamond ring — simple and elegant, shining softly under the lights.
“Tia,” Adam said, his voice breaking slightly, “will you marry me again?”
Tia’s tears spilled freely now. The room was silent, except for her heartbeat. Everyone watched — Natasha, Victoria, Alex, the staff, even Andy — all waiting.
She covered her face for a moment, trembling, overwhelmed.
Then she nodded, whispering through tears, “Yes… yes, I will.”
The hall burst into cheers and claps. Andy jumped up and down, shouting, “Mommy said yes! Mommy said yes!”
Adam stood and pulled her into his arms, hugging her tightly. “I love you, Tia,” he whispered into her ear. “And I’ll never stop making up for every single moment I hurt you.”
She held him just as tight, crying softly into his chest. “I love you too… I never stopped.”
When they finally pulled apart, everyone was still cheering. Natasha ran over and hugged her. “Finally! You both made me cry,” she said, laughing through her own tears.
Even Victoria smiled, wiping her eyes quietly from the back. Andy ran to hug both of them, wrapping his tiny arms around their legs.
“Now we’re a real family again!” Andy said happily.
Adam smiled and kissed his son’s head. “Yes, we are.”
Tia looked around at the faces smiling back at her — people who had seen their pain, their fall, and now their new beginning. It felt unreal. The hall glowed with warmth and laughter. For the first time in years, her heart felt complete.
Adam turned to the crowd and said, “Everyone, thank you for standing by us — for believing even when we didn’t. I promise this time, I won’t let her go.”
Everyone clapped again, and Natasha shouted, “About time, Mr. Black!”
Tia laughed, her cheeks still wet from tears. She turned to Adam, whispering softly, “You always did love a grand gesture.”
He smiled. “Only for you.”
She leaned close. “You really think flowers and a ring can make me forget how stubborn you were?”
Adam chuckled. “No, but I’m hoping it’s a good start.”
She laughed through her tears and kissed his cheek. “It’s more than that, Adam. It’s perfect.”
The cheers continued around them, and for once, neither of them wanted the moment to end.
\---
That night, Tia sat on the balcony with Adam beside her.
The city lights twinkled below them. She rested her head on his shoulder, still wearing the
ring that caught the moonlight every time she moved her hand.
“Feels like a dream,” she said softly.
He kissed her forehead. “It’s real, Tia. This time, it’s forever.”
She smiled, her eyes closing slowly. “Then don’t wake me up.”
He wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer. “Never again.”
And for the first time in years, both their hearts were at peace.
