CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE
AURORA'S P.O.V
I groaned, my head pounding with pain. What happened? I tried to remember, but my mind was a blank slate. I slowly opened my eyes, blinking away the blurriness that seemed to cloud my vision. As my vision cleared, I saw that I was in a dark, damp room, the walls looked to be made of mud bricks that were cracking from age. The ground beneath my shoes was wet, made of stone and gray. I coughed slightly, wishing for clean air because it smelled of moist and stale walls.
"Where am I?"
My voice echoed through the place like the way one's voice would sound in the mountains. I closed my eyes, wincing as I tried to remember what happened to me.
"I was....I was going to leave with...Alpha Kieran and I...was about to leave....then my head..." I groaned as a blinding pain tore through my skull. "Ouch!....I can't remember anything again."
To top it all, I was tied to a strange metal chair with chains wound around my body from my shoulders down to my legs.
"The heck!!!!"
I shook my body, struggling to no avail, they were tied tight to my body. Panic flared in my chest and I began to pant quickly, my stomach cold.
"Where am I? Please...anyone out there!"
I called out then almost facepalmed myself. Haven't I learned my lesson? Why was I calling for help from the same people that took me.
"That was stupid Aurora." I chided myself.
Suddenly, a bright appeared and showed straight into my eyes. I wondered, shutting my eyes quickly with the unconscious action of trying to use my hands to shied myself from the light.
"Finally woken up?" A harsh voice rasped out and the next thing I felt was a sharp, stinging slap at the side of my face.
Gasping in pain at the sting, I opened my eyes and tried to see but the view in front of me was only dark.
"W...who are you?"
Then slowly, almost torturous, a figure came into view. He was tall, slightly muscular with a cruel smile on his fairly handsome face. His blue eyes glinted as they stared at me.
"Welcome, Aurora."
His tone did not match his words, they were filled with malice and hatred. Strangely, the more I stared into his face, the more he seemed familiar.
Trying to hide my trembling body, I grinded my molars together.
"What do you want? Who are you?"
He threw back his head and laughed, his tone high and his eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Oh, I just want to have a little fun with you, get to know you. I've been hearing about you for a long time, so imagine my joy at finally meeting you." He was rubbing his large hands together as he spoke.
"I don't think I want to know you...or have any fun. So you better let me go.".
The smile on his face disappeared within an instant.
"An Omega, saying no to me?" He then raised his hand, I closed my eyes, braiding myself for the pain but instead I heard a voice.
"Ah, ah, ah! No, don't frighten her too much, Eli. We still need her cooperation."
I gasped in horror as soon as I heard the voice. That voice. Another pain zipped through my skull again. My eyes almost flew out of their sockets and my teeth rattled against each as I began to tremble. I finally remember, the last thing I saw before I fainted.
"Alpha Desmond?" I whispered.
A deep chuckle rang out as a figure stepped out of the shadows. Eli stepped aside, letting the man come forth. I gasped again. It really was him. The same piercing blue eyes, the now longer black hair flecked with grey. He still looked imposing and evil. My instincts screamed at me to run but there was nowhere to run to.
"You're not dead? No...I...I saw Lucian kill you. We all did." My lips were trembling.
He smiled and walked closer to me then he leaned down, setting his eyes came height with me.
"Surprised? I like that look on your face. Yes, I know, you were right...I did die."
I frowned.
"Then how?"
"Oh..." He giggled, like literally giggled as he placed his hands in his jean pocket. "That was just a clone...I made him to be my double in place of me."
"What?"
"Its easy actually...I met a black witch in my search for power. She showed me the way, taught me how to harness the power in me. She also taught me how to make my clones, ah...she was powerful" A maniac light shine in his eyes, "She fell in love with me, but then I had to kill her."
"You...killed her?"
He gave an obvious shrug.
"Of course, she already knew too much and she was too powerful. I couldn't keep her alive so that she could ruin my plans."
With my heart beating like crazy, I licked my dry lips and asked.
"And what are your plans."
He didn't answer me, he just stared at me then gave a nod at Eli. I watched as Eli walked over to a corner and picked up some kind of a strange remote. He gave it to Alpha Desmond, he received it with a grin. Then with his eyes staring right at me, he pressed a red button.
"Aaarrrggghhh!!!"
I screamed in agony as unimaginable pain coursed through me, from the tips of my toes to the top of my head. Electrical currents pulsed from the chain and wound around the chains, seeping into my bones and my flesh. My body was stiff in a ramrod pose while trying to fight the pain.
"Stop....please....stop....I'm begging you....!" I kept on screaming while the two men laughed in giddy joy.
Finally, the pain stopped and I slumped forward in the chair, the chains the only thing holding me. Heavy pants escaped my lungs, no more strength left in my body.
"As for my plans..." He started and lifted my weary face to face him, his eyes hard. "...is to take over the whole pack and stop that damn prophesy from happening. I shall rule along with my beloved son."
I stared at him in confusion.
He jerked his head at Eli.
"Elijah Vaughn, my rightful son."
