Chapter 148 148
CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY-EIGHT
AURORA'S P.O.V
Kieran snorted, crossing his hands across his chest.
"And you think its going to work? Just like that? You expect him to be alone? He's going to bring his men with him."
Griffin shook his head.
"I doubt it. Auron is smart. He's going to know that the security detail on that day will be higher than usual. He wouldn't want to mess up his plans by bringing in more more with him, risking recognition."
Lucian nodded.
"Exactly, thank you Griffin. When we capture him, that's where you guys come in." He looked towards, Mirabel and her brothers. "You guys will help us neutralize him, give him the right dosage that will keep him unconscious long enough for us to go back to the party, finish it, then everyone leaves. We don't want him alerting anyone with shoutings or yellings."
Kale clicked his tongue, bobbing his head.
"I think your plan is pretty solid. I'm in.."
"Me too." Jake seconded.
Mirabel squealed.
"Count me in too. And can I also get the chance to hot him once, just on the head?"
I shook my head horrified.
"Mirabel! No!"
She blinked innocently at me.
"What?"
"He's my brother." I told her obviously.
She shrugged.
"He kidnapped you and tried to take your powers. That is no brother. And besides, he will be unconscious, so its not like he can feel it."
"Then why the need to hit him?"
She grinned mischievously.
"Just for the sake of revenge."
"Add me that revenge plan with you too. I've got a bone to pick with him." Talia gritted out.
Mirable nodded at her.
"Anytime girl."
"Great?" I groaned, "I have two psychos as my friends."
"Best friends!" Talia and Mirabel echoed at the same time.
"Count me in...Lucian's plan, I mean." Eli spoke.
"Me too, Even though I have no idea what I'm doing." Ariel grinned.
"Me too." Shawn said.
Then we looked at Kieran. He shook his head slowly.
"I'm always in." Then he leaned back and muttered. "I've always been in, heck, since the first day I stepped my foot in this pack. I don't know if I should be happy or mad about it."
"You'll survive bro, I feel you." Shawn suddenly reached out and tapped his on the back.
We all stared at him in surprise, he never said something unless it was first spoken by someone else, so seeing him make the first move was shocking. He noticed us staring at him and looked back at us with a confused look on his face.
"What? I understand what he feels."
We all burst into laughter.
"We know honey." Mirabel cooed as she caressed his face.
"So...its still two days to the party, what can we do to help?" Jake asked.
Talia immediately snickered giving me a scary look and then glancing at Mirabel and Ariel.
"I just know the thing."
I'm resting, don't look at me. Okay fine, I'm hiding, in my old room. Talia and the girls are demons, I've been trying dresses and shoes since yesterday. Tomorrow is the party and they still haven't decided on what clothes I will wear. I swear at point, I don't care if I walk in a pair of rags, as long I get them off my backs. So here I was, lounging on the bed, my eyes close leisurely when suddenly, the door burst open and I practically screamed while also tumbling down on my butt. Ariel, Mirabel, and Talia burst in, fashion magazines and bags in hand.
"Ouch!" I winced, rubbing the place where I hit my butt.
"Aurora, dress time!" Talia declared.
Mirabel winked. "We’ll make you stunning. No 'blah' clothes."
Ariel nodded, sighing as she sat down on the bed, fixing me with a glare.
"And please stop hiding, we need to make look like the star of the party."
I groaned helplessly.
"But I don't want to be the star of the party."
"Well too bad..." Talia dragged me up. "You are and you have no choice."
I groaned again.
"Guys, I really don’t care..."
Talia cut me off. "Not caring! You’re the Luna."
Then Mirabel pulled out three gorgeous gowns, emerald, silver , black lace. She held them across her body and commanded.
"Pick."
I shrugged. "Um, none?"
They pounced on me.
"Emerald! Dramatic!" Talking yelled, her eyes bright.
Mirabel shook her head. "Nah, Silver! It so complements her eyes!"
Ariel squinted, the tip of her tongue out as she looked.
"The black Lace! Its giving mysterious! Look at me, can't touch me, can't talk to me."
I laughed. "Okay… emerald."
Talia squealed happily but Mirabel huffed, her lips in a frown.
"No, silver!"
Ariel wisely intervened.
"Why don't we compromise emerald with silver accents."
They stared at each other, then nodded after a while, smiling.
"Agreed!"
The day of the party, guests were already arriving at the party hall, there was still a lot of time, and I was getting ready but we were having a bit of a drama.
"You need to have smoky eyes, it makes you look bad ass." Talia crooned as she bent over my face with a makeup brush.
"Make sure you add glitter, to draw out the eyes okay?" Mirabel added.
"Guys..." I called out but they ignored me, so I could out sigh.
Through the mirror, I watched as Talia applied a bold eyeliner, Mirabel added shimmery highlighter and Ariel, for some e reason, decided to sprinkle sparky dust on my shoulders. When I looked at her puzzled, she winked at me.
"Its for the lights, you are going to shine, literally."
"Oh boy."
An hour later, I emerged from the dressing room, Emerald gown trailing down my legs with a slight slit to show off my legs. Silver heels and belt around my waist to match and...the glittery makeup.
"Wow," they chorused.
I smiled softly as I stared at myself, then it turned into a wide grin and I couldn't help twirling around.
"Okay… I look hot. Is that me? I do look so hot...and sexy...and beautiful Oh my gosh!" I squealed.
Talia snapped a pic.
"What did I tell you, Lucian is going to melt once he sees you."
Mirabel and Ariel clapped their hands squealing like two high school girls.
"We did such a great job.
"And for such a difficult customer."
I rolled my eyes.
"You guys are just being dramatic. You should all get dressed, I'll wait for you."
They nodded, rushing back into the dressing room.
"Don't worry, we'll be quick."
"Unlike you who took two whole days."
"Even birth labor doesn't take that long."
