Chapter 96 Chapter 96
AILSA’S POV
Sunlight filtered through the curtains as I stretched in the bed. I was reminded of the unmistakable warmth of Lucian. His mouth brushed my shoulder, it was slow and unhurried. Another kiss followed, then another, trailing along my skin with a tenderness that made my lips curve into a quiet smile before I was fully awake. His breath nestled on my neck.
I shifted, turning to face him. His eyes were on me, and they were darkened by desire. He leaned in and kissed my lips softly and I welcomed his kiss. We kissed for a while before pulling apart.
“Good morning” I murmured. His thumb traced the line of my jaw.
“Morning. I assume you had a fantastic sleep” I blushed at that.
“How can I not? After all you did to my body last night” he grinned at me.
“It is of my knowledge that you enjoyed every bit of it” it was a fact that I couldn’t deny. I enjoyed every bit of it and I wanted a repeat of it.
For a moment, I just looked at him. The lines of strain that had been on his face for days were softer now, they were not fully gone but eased. Seeing that did something to my chest. I was the reason for the stress.
‘Don’t let anything spoil this beautiful morning’ my wolf said and I agreed with her.
“I’m sorry” I said quietly.
“For what?” Confusion plastered on his face.
“For how I acted after the news. I mean pushing you away” he shook his head.
“I’ve told you, you don’t have to apologize. I’m not angry with you”
“I do. I shut you out and it must have caused a toll on you” his forehead rested against mine.
“You were hurting, I understand that. We both were” I swallowed.
“Thank you for staying. For last night. I wish I could make up for the lost days when I pushed you away” his hand tightened on my waist.
“There’s nowhere else I’d rather be than with you. So you don’t need to thank me. I know a way you can make it up to me” he said with a smirk.
“How?”
There was a glint in his eyes but a knock interrupted us. Lucian said a gruff come in and Lina entered with a tray in her hands. She bowed her head the moment she entered and I sat uprightly. I smiled at her and she returned a smile.
“Good morning Alpha, Luna” she said softly, placing the tray down.
“I didn’t expect you to come immediately” Lucian said making me look at him.
“You sent for breakfast?” I asked and he nodded.
Lina lingered for a moment, her eyes dashing between Lucian and I before excusing herself.
“I figured you would be so hungry and so I had them prepare something”
“That’s so sweet” I smiled at him.
We ate while having little conversations. Lucian fed me some of the rice and I did the same for him. After a while, the plates were cleared. I groaned in satisfaction.
“How do you feel now?” Lucian asked me.
“I am full and stronger” I winked at him.
“Then you can make it up to me now” he didn’t give me a chance to ask what he meant before lifting me off the bed.
He took me into the bathroom and placed me into the bath, it was warm. The steam curling around us and when he entered behind me, I felt every part of his body heat. His erect cock poked me at my bum and I wiggled on him.
“Stop doing that if you don’t want us to leave here anytime soon” his voice was strained.
“And what if I don’t want to leave here soon?” I whispered.
“I’m trying to bath you” he said in a strained voice but I had other plans.
I took his erect member in my hand and started stroking slowly, rubbing the tip with my fingers.
“Ailsa…” he gasped. “You’re going to be the death of me” his head fell back as I continued my ministrations
“Then I hope it’s a happy death”
He groaned as I increased my speed. He was at my mercy and I felt like a queen. His increased his thrusts in my hand and after a few more he groaned loudly as his balls tightened and he came in spurts, shooting his load on my breasts.
“That was spectacular” I smiled. “I’ll bath you now” he took the soap and lathered my body slowly, his hands lingering at my breast, my nipples tightened and were begging for his touch. But he didn’t touch them instead he bathed me and rinsed the soap of my body.
When we were done bathing, he wrapped me with a towel and took me back to the room where we got cleaned and dressed. He pressed a kiss to my temple.
“I won’t be long” he promised.
I watched him leave, my chest lighter than it had been in days and my wolf happy.
I left the room also, trying to get fresh air. I was halfway down the corridor when I saw Damian. I was surprised. I hadn’t realized how long it had been since I’d last seen him until now.
“Damian” I called.
“You’re back” I said with a smile.
“Ailsa, it’s good to see you too” he said with a tight smile.
We walked a few steps together before he stopped suddenly, turning to face me.
“You shouldn’t be here” he said and I frowned.
“What?”
“With him. Bad things keep happening to you” he clarified. My spine stiffened.
“You are crossing the line, Damian”
“This should have been an eye opener for you. You’ve lost a child. That shows that he can’t protect you”
“He didn’t even know I was carrying a child”
“I’m serious. You should leave. Come with me. Before this place takes more from you” my anger surged.
“I warned you last time about this and you are repeating it again” he grabbed my arms.
“I’m trying to save you before it’s too late. Lucian doesn’t love you. Elara is the one he loves and his true mate. I’m saving you from heartbreak” I removed my arm from his grasp.
“Because of the friendship we once shared that’s why I’m not reporting this. If you speak about this to me again, you leave me no other option than to report. In fact, do not show yourself to me again” I said coldly. His expression darkened.
“You’ll regret this”
Without another word, he turned and walked away leaving me to wonder what just happened and who Damian was. It was like he was a different person or maybe I never really knew him. My hand trembled slightly as I continued walking.
I found Lina close to the kitchen and Ronan beside her. One look at the way they stood, too close to each other that you could tell something was going on between them. They were laughing at something and my irritation faded into something warmer.
I halted in front of them and they both smiled. Ronan greeted me although I saw the pity in his eyes.
“Luna, I hope you are better now”
I understood what he meant and I nodded. He was talking about the miscarriage, even though it still hurt when I thought about it, I was better now.
“I’m fine, Ronan. I hope you are doing well too?” He nodded.
“I’ll see you later, Lina” he excused himself, his gaze lingering on Lina a bit longer before he left. I turned and grinned at Lina when he was out of sight.
“So” Lina groaned.
“Don’t ask anything”
“You both are no longer hiding?” I teased her softly but she only blushed.
“Thank you for the food this morning and also for yesterday. For being a shoulder to cry on” she waves it off.
“It was my pleasure. I was happy you confided in me after pushing me away few days ago”
“I’m sorry I pushed you away then. I was trying to wrap my head around everything that happened” I confessed.
“I understand. Truly” she squeezed my hand.
I sat beside her and she brought Dahlia up.
“Dahlia hasn’t left her room since yesterday. I guess it would take few more days before she shows her face”
“I feel so bad for her. I never expected Lucian to give that sort of punishment. I didn’t even know he was listening to our conversation”
“He was worried about you when you wouldn’t speak to anyone”
“I know but I didn’t expect that sort of punishment for her”
“I’m glad he acted immediately. Dahlia crossed lines that she shouldn’t have. If I was in the Alpha’s place, I would have done worse than that” I nodded
Then I saw her. Elara.
She passed us slowly and for some weird reason, I had a feeling it was deliberate and it brought back the thoughts I had earlier.
Then I remembered that it’s more than a week since Elara was here.
That was not the plan.
