Chapter 21 Tutankhamun
I found myself in an unknown time and married to the young Pharaoh,
Tutankhamun.
I remember coming to Egypt merely to take photographs, but when I woke up, I was inexplicably here.
A voice inside me told me that Tutankhamun was the culprit that prevented me from returning to reality present day.
If I killed him, I could go back.
Tutankhamun was exceedingly kind to me, as though this political marriage was a joyous occasion.
Ioccasion. Back then, I didn't understand the customs and unions based on blood ties.
Tutankhamun never forced me; he would hold my hand and take me to oversee work at the Karnak Temple.
He would watch me fall asleep and could gaze at me for a long time.
But he didn't allow anyone else near me into my world.
He often went mad, plunging his fingers into my roots, imprisoning my head, and whispering:
"My beloved Ankhesen Carmen, you are so beautiful. How can I allow others to see your face?"
I couldn't understand his obsession with calling me Ankhesen Carmen by my full name, nor could I comprehend his expression when saying this, full of deep affection and habit.
It was as if I could do anything as long as I didn't leave him.
In my daily life, I would call him "Tutankhamun," and I saw no problem with that.
Once, he arranged a banquet, and after getting drunk, he grabbed my hand and pushed me to the ground.
His moist breath echoed in my ear, and the strong scent of hormones emanated from his solid physique, with his powerful abdominal muscles and handsome face causing me to be somewhat intoxicated as well.
He held me in his arms and said:
"Sister, why don't you call me Aten anymore? Sister..."
"Sister, you can't abandon Aten..."
Lonely and helpless.
