Honestly, I didn't know why Natasha was calling me, what things about Alexander do you have to tell me to make him want to see me? Or is she just saying it to set me up? I don't understand, however I am very curious to know what she will tell me, I don't know Alexander at all and the little I have seen is that he is very impulsive, he likes to be done as he commands and he has many hidden secrets. I left Cookie in the garden and got up, I found the cook leaving the house, I guess her work hours had ended.

"Hello," I called her attention, thinking that perhaps she could give me her name.

"Is there something offered to you, Miss Mariela?" She smiled at me.

"Excuse me, but I don't even know your name," I said embarrassed.

"Carmen," he replied.

“Carmen, I'll go out for a moment and it's likely that Alexander will get angry so if he were to ask you something, tell him that I went out to run an errand and I won't be long.”

"Sure, I'll tell you with pleasure. Be careful because at night it is dangerous to walk in these places.”

“Sure thanks.”

I left the huge mansion looking for a taxi, I just hope that whatever Natasha is going to tell me is worth it because otherwise... when I found it I stopped it.

.

I had arrived in front of Alexander's company, Natasha was in a car a few meters away, she called me so I went over.

"I'm here, tell me what you have to tell me," I crossed my arms.

“We won't talk here risking Alexander going out and ruining the plans, let's go to a restaurant nearby to talk more comfortably” Natasha wore dark sunglasses and a scarf on her head, she was very covered. I hesitated a bit. "Go up," she encouraged me.

I rolled my eyes and got in the passenger seat, once inside she took off.

“Alexander is not the person you think” he tells me “he has many hidden things that you may not like.”

“Oh yeah? As which?” I wanted to know, looking for a way not to sound desperate.

"I'm not sure whether to tell you…although you may have already met one of them. Have you seen her punishment room yet?”

I was surprised that she knew that, I thought that I was the only one that had gone in there, apart from his ex-wife of course.

“From the look on your face, I suppose so” she continued speaking “And that's not all, there are many things you don't know about Alexander Gabardini.”

"You seem to know him well," I murmured.

"Of course, I've been with him for many years.” Natasha parked on a back street, I hadn't even noticed me that we'd pulled off the road. Up ahead there was a van parked, it gave me a bad impression. "Until you showed up.”

“What's going on?” I wanted to know, at that moment three men got out of the car and approached the car. It was getting dark “what is this?”

"I'll do Alexander a favor and get you out of the way, stupid."

I opened my door and ran out but one of the men covered my mouth and grabbed me around the waist. I struggled a lot to let go but it was useless, they took me to the black van with dark windows. Natasha just watched me laughing.

ALEXANDER

I am exhausted and exhausted from a long day at work, I looked at my cell phone to see if I had any calls from Mariela but there was nothing. I was a bit disappointed since I expected more from her, but I have to be patient with her, with time she will learn to love and accept me. I took off my jacket and stood up, trying to figure out how to leave. It's seven at night and I'm used to the presence of Mariela and the cat, the three of them having dinner together. I smiled when I remembered the time I found the two of them sitting on the floor eating dinner. I wish things would have been different between the two of them but they happened this way, it was the only one there was.

I left the office, walking down the hall until I ran into Lex.

"You Still here? I thought you had a wife to take care of," he tells me ironically, we both got into the elevator. Lex is a friend of the family, I say family because not mine, we have always had problems and disagreements. Especially for women. He has his own company in which he is doing very well but he prefers to spend twelve hours a day in mine.

"She's at home waiting for me.”

“Excellent. Mariela seems to me a very pretty woman, I still don't know why she noticed a guy as cold as you.”

“The same way that Ana noticed you.”

“Yes, I have my charms. Tell Mariela that I will visit her one day.”

The elevator doors opened and Lex left, I didn't have time to tell his to stay away from my wife. I think of Lex with her and my blood boils. I went out to the parking lot in search of my car, opened the door and got in.

.

When I got home I opened the door and put the bag on the table. No one was seen around here, I went to the kitchen and found Carmen making dinner, the cat meowing for food in a corner. I was surprised not to see Mariela here preparing a tuna for the kitten.

"Good evening, Carmen," I greeted her.

“Goodnight Mr.”

“What do you do here at this time?” I wanted to know why she always leaves around five in the afternoon.

“Well, I stayed to take care of Cookie while Mrs. Mariela comes back.”

I frowned not understanding.

"Where did Mrs. Mariela go?"

“She told me that she had to run an errand but to be honest it took a while. I'm getting a little worried, she tells me, she left before dark.”

I huffed angrily because I hated that Mariela did these things to me, she always had to let me know wherever she had to go. I didn't want to put guards on her out of respect for her but I see that I have no choice but to do so, Mariela only understands the hard way. I took the cell phone and called her several times but she didn't answer.

“Shit!” I threw the cell phone to the floor with great force, if there is something I hate it is that they do not answer the cell phone. Especially Mariela. I try, I try not to be hard on her, I even promised her but she doesn't understand.

"Is something wrong with Mrs. Mariela, sir?" Carmen asks me so inoffensive.

“Nothing, Carmen, Mariela won't come to dinner. Drop what you were doing and go home, it's night so tell the driver to take you.”

"Of course, sir, the food on the small plate is made from biscuit," was the only thing she said to me before taking off her apron, saying goodbye to Cookie and leaving through the kitchen door. My employees know me very well and they know that when I go to bad it is better to listen to me the first time. I sat on the floor, the cat approached me meowing, I had no choice but to caress it.

What if Mariela kept her promise and ran away? It was a possibility, I took the cell phone, it was still working, and I called Carl, the head of security.

"Tell me, sir.”

“Mariela isn't here, look for her even under the rocks and bring her to me” I ordered “You know what we talked about if this were to happen, don't be sorry, Carl, make her pay.”

"As you order, sir."

I put the cell phone aside and sighed. Have I done the right thing in bringing Mariela? I asked myself over and over again.

“Meow.”

“Are you hungry? I'll give you your dinner.”

I stood up and pulled out the tuna, giving it to the cat. I sat next to him to watch him eat.

"Your owner abandoned me," I told him, "both of you, can you believe it? To both.”

I know my employees will find her, if she escaped she won't get far, that's why I'm not desperate looking for her, she will come to me at any moment. This time there will be no more promises or oaths, I decided to change for her and she didn't care, now she has to face the consequences of it.

When Cookie stopped eating we both went to the room, I changed and went to bed to watch a sports program. Hours passed and nothing was heard, I'm starting to get exasperated, but she doesn't deserve it. I turned off the iPad and settled down to sleep, who would have thought that this cat was the only one that would keep me company?

.

I woke up when I felt a lump on my chest. The cat. I pushed him aside and got up. It's six in the morning, I looked at my cell phone and I didn't have any calls from Carl or anyone else. I put on my sports clothes and went down to my gym to distract myself a bit. I boxed with the punching bag, did weights, listened to music and finished an hour later. When I went back up to the house, Carmen was coming in.

“Good morning sir.”

"Good morning, Carmen.”

"Is Mrs. Mariela here?" she asked but I didn't answer her, I just went up the stairs and got to my room.
