CHAPTER 25: MAY THE BEST MAN WIN

CHAPTER 25: MAY THE BEST MAN WIN
Harry kisses me passionately. He puts his hands on my waist and pulls me closer to his body. I don't know at what moment my blouse and his shirt disappeared, but we are undoubtedly consumed by our desire.

My heart is racing, and my skin is more sensitive than usual. His hands roam my back, and mine explore his. I want to continue, but at the same time, I want to stop. This would be my first time, and I'm afraid something might go wrong.

"Harry..." I say, pulling away from his lips. "This is my first time."

Harry looks at me, his cheeks flushed, his hair tousled, and his pupils dilated.

"And do you want to do it?" Harry asks sweetly.

"Yes," I reply, looking into his eyes.

"Trust me, I'll take care of you," he answers, and I nod.

Harry kisses me again, but this time it's gentler as he touches me. He lifts me, my legs wrapping around his waist, and starts climbing the stairs until we reach my attic bedroom.

He lays me down on the bed gently, following his instincts, and I simply let him.

I open my eyes, and the sun dazzles in front of me. I blink a couple of times and then turn, searching for Harry on the other side of the bed, but he's not there. I lift the sheet and see my naked body underneath, and I blush, remembering what happened last night.

Last night, Harry made me his own. I surrendered myself completely to him, and it was the most beautiful thing I've ever done. It was truly magical for me.

I get out of bed and step into the shower, smiling widely.

After showering, I put on a dress and sandals, and I start brushing my hair. At that moment, I see Harry entering the room with a large tray full of food.

"Good morning, beautiful," Harry says, smiling from ear to ear.

"Good morning, husband," I reply, unable to take my eyes off his toned abdomen as he's not wearing a shirt.

"Your breakfast."

"Did you do all this by yourself?" I ask, surprised, and he nods.

"There are many things you don't know about me, like the fact that I'm a very good cook," he responds, approaching and kissing me.

"Let's try your food then," I say, smiling before we start eating.

We finish breakfast and go for a walk along the beach until it starts raining, and we have to return to the house.

Harry lights a small fire on the patio, under a roof that shields us from the rain, and we start roasting marshmallows and sausages.

"I love being like this," I say, looking at the fire.

"It reminds me of my childhood. I was very happy back then, and I'm very happy now," he looks at me with a big smile on his face.

"Everything was unexpectedly prepared. I thought I would spend my life hating the person I would be married to forever."

"And... do you hate me?" he asks, with a sad puppy face.

"Do you think I do?" I question and move closer to him.

"I've never felt this way about anyone before. You're very important to me," he replies and then gives me a sweet and warm kiss, tasting like marshmallows.

We continue eating, talking, and playing for a while longer until the night becomes too cold to stay outside.

We enter the house, and I rush to my room to seek shelter from the intense cold of the night. Harry follows me and gets into bed with me.

"I'm annoyed that we have to go back tomorrow," he says, complaining while holding onto my waist tightly.

"It bothers me too, but we live together, remember?" I question as I stroke his hair.

"So, can we sleep in the same room?" he says, lifting his head to look at me.

"I'll think about it," I reply, laughing, and kiss him on the forehead.

Harry furrows his brow and lunges at me.

"You're mine," he says, looking at me seriously.

"And you're mine," I reply, and we immediately resume our passionate act.

I don't think we can stop after the first time; there's so much desire between us, a fire that we can't extinguish while we're this close.

"As long as they don't bring walking blessings into the world, everything will be fine," says my crazy conscience, always meddling.

I wake up startled and see Harry lying next to me with his head on my chest. It's still nighttime, and the rain doesn't stop. The sky seems to be falling apart, thunder resounds all around, and lightning occasionally illuminates the room completely.

I close my eyes again, trying to go back to sleep, but I feel anxious and can't fall asleep again. I grab my phone and start checking my messages, and among them is one from Imanol.

"Imanol:

I'm coming back tomorrow. Can't wait to see you."

"COMING BACK? WHEN? No, no, no, noooooo. This can't be happening, can it? No, I refuse to believe this."

I close my eyes tightly and then open them again to reread the message. Maybe it changed a bit, but the message remains the same.

"You're finished, dear," says my impertinent conscience.

I wake up startled and let out a small scream as I jump in place.

"What's wrong?" Harry asks, surprised.

"Huh? Oh, nothing," I reply, looking around. "Do we have to leave today?"

"Yes, I'm sorry. I promise our next trip will be longer," he responds, smiling, and then leaves the room.

"Why did he have to come back today?" I question the air as I cover my face with a pillow and start kicking.

I get into Harry's car and try to make myself comfortable. He looks at me confused and furrows his brow.

"You've been acting strange since you woke up," Harry says, looking at me.

"Really?" I question, smiling, but he doesn't return the smile. "It's just that I don't want to leave. I like this place, and being here with you is very special."

Harry smiles and looks at me nostalgically.

"I know, but we have to go," he replies, and I sigh.

Harry starts driving, completely focused on the road, and I look out the window while sighing about three times per minute.

I'm truly angry. Why does Imanol have to come back today? Why out of all the upcoming days, did it have to be today?

"We've arrived," Harry says, snapping me out of my trance.

"Yeah, we've arrived," I say unenthusiastically, and he kisses me, but I instinctively pull away.

"What's wrong?" he asks, surprised.

"They say it's bad luck to kiss in a parking lot," I say, trying to sound convincing, and he smiles.

"Then let's hurry inside," he replies, and I nod.

We go up until we reach the apartment, and Harry starts entering the code to open the door. I adjust my hair while looking around deliriously.

A double beep sounds as Harry finishes entering the code, indicating that the door can be opened, so Harry does, and he steps inside.

He freezes upon entering, and I'm surprised by his expression of astonishment. I quickly enter and see Imanol standing in the living room right in front of Harry.

I feel my heart stop, my eyes widen to their fullest,

"I'm back," Imanol says with an innocently wicked smile.
