Chapter 2

The next few days felt incredibly long for me.

Krish didn't notice anything amiss; every day, he either worked or came home, appearing no different from the ideal husband everyone knew.

Only I knew the secret hidden in his phone.

It was a holiday.

Krish rarely stayed home; he told me he was going to meet a friend.

Though his demeanor was normal, my subconscious told me he must be lying.

After he left, I followed his car.

The vehicle stopped at a coffee shop.

I sat in the car, watching him not enter immediately but wait outside the shop with that bag in hand.

Before long, a woman in a white tight dress approached him, looking up and smiling.

Krish returned her smile, a smile that pierced my heart.

He hadn't smiled at me like that in a long time. When he got home, he was always exhausted and silent, as if even a single word to me was a bother.

They stood side by side.

A handsome man and a beautiful woman, a match made in heaven.

It felt like my heart was being stabbed repeatedly.

I clearly saw the woman's face-it was indeed Elsie.

Krish's ex-girlfriend, his cherished white moonlight.

Even before our wedding, I had doubted whether Krish agreed to marry me to get back at Elsie for leaving him to study abroad.

But he told me not to overthink it.

No need to think anymore; I had seen it with my own eyes.

I stumbled out of the car and called out to them before they could enter.

"Krish."

This time he heard me; he turned his head.

Elsie turned as well.

From a distance, I couldn't see clearly, but now I finally could.

Her belly was slightly protruding.

Upon seeing me, Krish's face changed drastically.

He instinctively moved to shield Elsie behind him and angrily rebuked me, "What are you doing here? Are you stalking me?"

Tears flowed uncontrollably from my eyes in an instant.

The man I loved, my husband, my pillow companion, was now protecting another woman while confronting me, even opposing me!

My gaze fell on the handbag Krish held: "That bag is beautiful. I thought you bought it for me, but it turns out it's for her…"

Krish instinctively pulled the bag back a bit.

"If you want it, I'll get you one next time. This is for Elsie."

I forced a smile, "So her child is also yours?"

"What are you going crazy about now?" His tone was so cold.

"Is the child yours?" I asked again.

Krish opened his mouth, his expression complex and difficult to describe.

After a long silence, he finally spoke slowly, "Let's discuss this back home. Don't make a scene here."

My heart sank.

Make a scene.

My husband was dating another woman who was pregnant with his child, and his assessment of me was- I was making a scene.

I suddenly wondered what my worth meant to him; was I just a free housekeeper?

His indifference hadn't appeared overnight, but it was today that I finally realized.

I truly was a fool.

"I saw your purchase history that night. You bought so many luxury items for her. Oh, and the pregnancy test. Aren't you going to explain?"

Krish suddenly erupted in anger, his face cold: "Why were you looking at my phone?!"

"Is there something you want to explain?" I asked again.

Krish's tone was icy: "Don't look at my phone anymore."

I was nearly shocked.

So, as his wife, discovering his infidelity and that he might have a child with someone else only resulted in him telling me not to look at his phone.

How humble must my life have been over these years for him to think so little of me? That even if he cheated, I would still tolerate him and serve him like a slave!

Years of pent-up emotions collapsed; I broke down in an instant.

In public, I screamed and cried, "Is that all you want to say?! I'm asking you why you bought so many things for another woman! Why did you buy a pregnancy test?! Why are you out on a date with a pregnant woman while leaving your wife at home?! The child is yours, right?! You cheated on me! Do you even know that?!"

I knew my posture at that moment was far from graceful.

I was hysterical, my face twisted like a scorned woman.

But I couldn't calm myself down.

Perhaps my sudden outburst caught Krish off guard; he looked at me expressionlessly for a few seconds before lowering his voice, "Just go home for now."
