Chapter 180 Let Juniper Choose for Herself

Chapter 180 Let Juniper Choose for Herself

Isn't Juniper's mother Paloma?

Although there was no wedding ceremony back then before Paloma had her accident, all these years Evander has only acknowledged that one wife!

What if Paloma is actually still alive?

"Catherine, are you saying Jacob was talking nonsense because he was drunk?"

"He wasn't drunk, he was acting. I remember one time during a mission, Ethan mentioned that people in their family have inherited the ability to not get drunk."

Ethan slowly turned around, an awkward smile on his face.

When did that even happen? He couldn't remember it at all!

How could Blackfire remember such a small detail?

Timothy shouted angrily, "What are you looking at? Keep staring at Catherine like that and I'll gouge your eyes out!"

Ethan gritted his teeth, never expecting that some casual remark he made who knows when had betrayed Jacob.

"No, I'm just amazed that your head looks so pretty and small, Catherine, yet you remember so many things?"

Catherine lifted her chin and said condescendingly, "From what Jacob said, I can tell they used the same methods on my grandmother and Paloma. Since my grandmother is still alive but has forgotten some things, I reasonably suspect Paloma is the same."

Alexander's cold gaze fell on Matthew.

Matthew's lips curved slightly in a harmless smile. Meeting Alexander's murderous look, he shrugged with a helpless expression.

"I've said everything I should. I don't know anything else, and Jacob knows even less."

Catherine looked at Timothy and removed the magnetic earring from her ear, tossing it to him.

"There's a copied file inside with videos and photos my grandmother left behind. The password is my grandmother's birthday."

Timothy scrambled to catch what Catherine casually threw over, afraid of dropping it!

This contained everything Elodie had left behind!

Timothy looked at Catherine and Alexander, his voice dropping a notch.

"Are you leaving?"

"Yes, I've asked everything I wanted to know. The rest can't be answered here."

A trace of reluctance and loneliness appeared on Timothy's aged face. His life had been full of ups and downs, and the only thing he truly cherished was Elodie, who died young. When Elodie left, his heart died too.

Now seeing Catherine, a spark of hope suddenly grew in Timothy's heart!

"Forget it, this isn't a good place. Go on, don't look back!"

He stood there watching Catherine and Alexander walk toward the helicopter, his eyes showing deep reluctance.

The helicopter's propellers hummed continuously. Catherine sensed something and turned back to look at Timothy through the wind.

"I'll come back to settle accounts with you! Timothy, remember to stay alive!"

Timothy had tried to scheme against her multiple times before, even sending invitations to other assassin organizations on the dark web to join forces against her. She still remembered that.

Whatever Timothy's reasons were, he at least needed to remember he owed her a debt.

Timothy's eyes showed excitement, his voice trembling.

"I'll wait for you to come give me trouble!"

Watching the helicopter rise into the sky and disappear from Ironclad Jail's range, Ethan also sighed.

"Matthew, I suddenly feel like our organization will never be able to beat Faceless Ones and Shadow Syndicate in this lifetime."

Matthew looked confused. "When did you ever think you could take them down? What did I do to give you that misconception?"

Even if Catherine and Alexander weren't from the Windsor family and the Howard family, Faceless Ones and Shadow Syndicate were still stronger than Abyssal Blades, okay?

Did Ethan really always think he could replace them?

Timothy wiped the tears from his face and happily took what Catherine gave him, planning to go inside and look at it carefully. Passing by Ethan, he kicked him into the pool.

"Timothy, what's wrong with you? Why'd you kick me in!"

"That's for being disrespectful to Catherine. Soak in there!"

Timothy snorted coldly and walked away.

At Moonlight Mansion in Starry Residence, The Windsor Mansion.

As soon as Catherine and Alexander entered, they saw a whole living room full of people sitting neatly.

The entire Windsor family, plus Felix and Samuel, had all come. Even Grace, who should have been doing experiments, had specially requested to come home!

The whole family was unusually quiet. The ticking of the clock hanging in the living room was clearly audible.

Seeing so many people, Catherine realized they must all be here about Juniper!

Marcus waved at Catherine. "You're back? Must be tired. Did Timothy give you trouble? Come, sit next to me. We've been waiting for you. Have you eaten?"

"Everything's fine, we already ate."

They'd grabbed something on the way back. Catherine hadn't expected to see so many people as soon as she walked in.

"Alexander worked hard too, thanks for taking care of Catherine. Go sit by your grandfather, before he gets so angry he dies. If he's about to die, just carry him out and bury him somewhere."

For the first time, Felix didn't snap back at Marcus's sarcasm.

His hands gripped his cane, trembling uncontrollably, his gaze never leaving Juniper.

Catherine obediently sat next to Marcus, with Juniper on her right.

Juniper quietly leaned over and whispered, "Don't be scared, they'll leave after they finish talking."

Catherine soothingly scratched Juniper's palm.

In this situation, shouldn't Juniper be the one who's scared?

Marcus glanced at Felix, who hadn't spoken.

"Since this has already happened, I won't say much. We'll all respect whatever Juniper chooses."

Grace snorted coldly. "With something this big and Evander not even showing his face, is there any question which side Juniper will choose?"

Alexander looked at Felix, also feeling Evander was being excessive.

"Where's Evander? I'll contact him."

Felix said in a heavy voice, "No need. He went to apply to have Juniper transferred back to the research institute in Imperia City. At least he did something human."

Samuel looked at Catherine with a smile. "Catherine, did you discover anything else this time?"

Catherine nodded. "What exactly happened to my grandmother back then is still unclear, but Alexander and I both think Juniper's mother might still be alive. Mr. Howard, who is Juniper's mother?"

Only the Howard family themselves knew who was engaged to Evander back then.

Felix stood up abruptly!

"Catherine, you're saying she's still alive? Then why hasn't she gone to find Evander or Juniper?"

How could there be such a heartless mother in the world?

Catherine shook her head and said calmly, "If she is alive, she probably lost her memory for some reason, like my grandmother."

Felix's lips moved, but he couldn't get a word out for a long time.

"What a tragedy. It's all a tragedy! That child, if she's still alive but has forgotten everything, forgotten Evander and Juniper, then this child Juniper..."

Juniper was too pitiful, his heart was breaking!

He didn't finish his words, but his gaze was fixed on Juniper, tears streaming down his face!
