Stuart had a fever so high that he was delirious. He felt a cool sensation nearby and instinctively wanted to get closer.
Josephine's hands were cold from holding a damp towel, and even her arms felt chilly.
Stuart clung to her arm, rubbing his cheek against it.

He looked more like a little chick with a fledgling complex, seeking comfort from Josephine.
Perhaps it's a woman's nature to have a maternal glow, Josephine reached out and patted his head.
His hair was short and stiff, tickling her palm.
In the past, Josephine never had the chance to touch his head.
But now, she felt a bit daring.
As she continued to pat his head, Josephine's hand moved down his neck and squeezed his broad back.
Stuart's shoulders were wide and reassuring just to look at.
The muscles on his back were firm and toned, almost impossible for Josephine to squeeze.
She was having fun when Stuart suddenly pressed her down and kissing her passionately.
His entire body was burning hot. The previously unresponsive Stuart was now incredibly strong, pressing Josephine onto the bed.
Perhaps due to the fever, Stuart was somewhat out of control tonight. His hands gripped her waist tightly, pressing down with a force that seemed to want to wedge his body into Josephine's.
Josephine had never experienced anything like this before; perhaps because Stuart was sick and delirious, she felt very bold.
It was because of her boldness that she experienced a pleasure she had never felt before.
Putting aside love and hatred, she focused solely on the physical sensations.
It's like being in heaven.
Especially since Stuart was so hot, it felt like Josephine was going to melt from the heat.
He sweated a lot. By some strange coincidence, his fever broke.
Josephine went to the bathroom and saw herself in the mirror, covered in kiss marks with his finger imprints on her waist.
She laughed self-deprecatingly. The Josephine in the mirror was beautiful and seductive, but no one saw it.
She wiped Stuart's body again, pulled a thin blanket over him, and, afraid he might get another fever, lay down next to him.
In the morning, Stuart's biological clock woke him up.
There was a familiar body in his arms. He instinctively pulled her closer. As his mind gradually cleared, he remembered something and looked down at the sleeping Josephine.
Who said she was going to sleep on the couch last night?
Now she was in his bed.

Stuart gritted his teeth, suppressing the urge to bite her.
He looked angry on the surface, but he felt quite content inside.
His large hand slid down, caressing Josephine's slender waist, lingering for a moment before continuing down.
Then he slapped her butt.
Josephine, who had been sleeping soundly, felt a sharp pain and woke up immediately.
One slap wasn't enough for Stuart; he gently patted her again.
The force wasn't strong, but the sound was loud.
Josephine was stunned for a few seconds before realizing she had been hit.

It wasn't very painful, but it was highly insulting.
Josephine pushed him away. She snapped, "What are you doing!"
Stuart looked at her leisurely. He remarked, "Last night you said you were going to sleep on the couch. Yet now? You ended up in my arms?"
His voice was clearly teasing and joyful.
Josephine's face was expressionless. She calmly said, "Looks like your fever broke. You were at 104°F last night. I was afraid you'd die from the fever, so I came to bed."
"I had a fever?" Stuart didn't believe it, then scoffed, "How come I didn't know? Stop making excuses for getting into bed."
Josephine threw the medicine box he took last night at him and said, "Look at this! You were wearing clothes when you slept last night. You sweated a lot, and I wiped you down and took your clothes off..."
Stuart was convinced when she threw the medicine, but before she could finish, he interrupted, "Wait!"
He sat up, the thin blanket sliding down to reveal his muscular chest.
Compared to last night, his chest now had two rows of fresh bite marks that looked painful.
"How to explain?" Stuart asked as he pointed to his chest.
Josephine snorted coldly, lifted her skirt to reveal her bruised waist, saying, "Want to compare? I bit you lightly!"
Stuart was stunned.
The marks on Josephine's tanned skin had a certain brutal beauty.
Stuart's Adam's apple bobbed, and he was a bit incredulous. "Didn't you say I had a fever?"
"Yeah, who knew you still indulged desires even when having a fever." Josephine glared at him. Then she rebutted, "Now do you want to question why I slept in the bed, Mr. Haustia?"
Stuart had no recollection at all, but he didn't want to admit defeat, so he casually said, "Even when I had a fever, you were clinging to me, wanting to get into bed with me. Shouldn't it be you who is more eager?"
"Stuart!" Josephine shouted.
Now it was Stuart's turn to raise an eyebrow in surprise. He taunted, "Go ahead, shout louder, call Grandpa to judge."
How could he have the nerve to tell Andrew about this?
Josephine grabbed a pillow and threw it at his face, then turned and went to the bathroom.
How did she not know before that Stuart could be so shameless?
By the time Stuart went downstairs, Josephine was already gone.
Andrew asked him, "Do you still have a fever? Josephine took care of you until midnight last night. Why didn't you let her take a day off and go to work instead?"
Last night, when Josephine went downstairs to get ice, Andrew, who was a light sleeper, heard her and came out to ask.
That's how he found out Stuart had a fever.
Stuart felt a mix of emotions.
What he said earlier about Josephine being desperate was purely a joke.
But now, thinking about how Josephine took care of him until midnight and how he bullied her, he knew it must have been him who initiated it.
Josephine had never been the one to initiate anything.
He quickly said, "I'm fine now. Don't worry, Grandpa. I'll go to the hospital at noon and let her rest and take a nap."
Andrew was satisfied. He replied, "Good."
All morning, Stuart was distracted at work. Partly because he was still unwell, and partly because Josephine's face kept appearing in his thoughts.
He tossed his pen aside in frustration.
At that moment, Doris walked in.
Stuart had recently assigned her to a project, and she was eager to prove herself. She inquired, "Stuart, are you feeling better from your cold?"
Stuart smiled. He gently replied, "Much better. Don't come any closer; I don't want to infect you."
Doris held some documents. She eagerly asked, "There's something I don't quite understand. How about we have lunch together, and you can explain it to me?"
"I have a lunch appointment," Stuart said, "Let's do it in the afternoon."
He then looked at his watch. In a rush, he said, "I have to go now. If you want something to eat, ask Mr. Collins to get it for you."
Saying that, he left and called for the driver to take him to the hospital.
Josephine didn't have any surgeries today. After finishing her clinic duties, she was heading back to the ward.
Just as she arrived, she heard someone shout, "There's a fight!"
A fight?
She quickened her pace, worried that a patient might be causing trouble.
Then she saw Stuart.
