The shareholders attending the meeting were mostly elderly, and after sitting for a while, they wanted to stretch their legs.
Stuart had left the meeting abruptly, and others followed suit, taking a break.
As they chatted, a loud noise from the office caught their attention. To their surprise, the door was knocked down. Two men emerged from the office in a physical altercation. The shareholders quickly made their way, not wanting to get caught in the crossfire concerning their age.
But they were curious to see what was happening.
To their astonishment, one of the men involved in the fight was Stuart himself.
The shareholders, with a mix of shock and excitement, watched the scene unfold.
Stuart and Liam, both physically fit and trained in the military, displayed impressive combat skills. Each move was precise and powerful, captivating the onlookers.
However, the shareholders couldn't help but wonder about the pain the two men must be enduring. Although Stuart and Liam were the ones fighting, they showed no signs of pain. On the other hand, the spectators' expressions were vivid and varied.
Doris, who had just arrived, witnessed the intense fight.
She wanted to intervene but was afraid of getting hurt. The sound of the punches ringing in her ears made her realize the seriousness of the situation. If she tried to stop them, she might end up getting hurt herself.
She had no choice but to shout from the sidelines, "Stuart, stop! You just got out of the hospital, be careful!"
Unfortunately, her words were brushed aside. The two men continued to fight, consumed by anger.
Doris' voice grew hoarse from shouting, but no one paid her any attention. Just as she was considering whether to risk it all and stop the fight, she heard a familiar voice behind her. She turned around and saw Josephine. Josephine, who pushed by Claudia, had just arrived and witnessed the intense fight. "Stop it, both of you!"
Josephine couldn't help but called out loudly. The sound of Josephine's voice caused the two men to pause for a moment.
However, Liam seized the opportunity and threw a punch.
Stuart quickly regained his composure and dodged, delivering a swift kick.
Josephine, infuriated by their disregard for her words, tried to move forward, ignoring Claudia's attempts to stop her.
Claudia stood in her way, saying, "Josie, don't go! What if they hurt you?"
Josephine's chest heaved with anger, "They are really worrying! It's fine, Claudia, let me through!"
She insisted on moving forward, while Doris said, "Josephine, please try to persuade your friend. Stuart just got out of the hospital. If something happens, it will be a disaster."
Josephine didn't even look at her.
Claudia said sternly, "One is her husband, and the other is her childhood friend. She is more anxious than you. Does she need your reminder?"
Doris felt embarrassed.
Taking advantage of Claudia's words, Josephine manipulated the wheelchair and rushed forward.
Doris gasped and covered her mouth, but she was secretly pleased in her heart. She hoped that the two men would knock over Josephine's wheelchair in their intense fight and Josephine would end up with multiple fractures.
As Doris was thinking this, something unexpected happened. The two men, who had been fighting fiercely and ignoring all calls to stop, suddenly stopped and withdrew their fists and legs as if they had been startled.
The next moment, both of them angrily turned to Josephine and said, "What are you doing?"
Josephine's eyes were red with anger. "Are you out of your mind? If you enjoy fighting so much, then go fight on stage and let everyone watch!"
Liam, feeling guilty, was the first to speak, "Josie, you know, I am just too angry, and Stuart..."
Seeing that Liam was about to complain, Stuart couldn't help but interrupt, "Who starts it? Who suggests the fight? Liam, you..."
"Shut up, both of you!"
Josephine gave the wheelchair's armrest a tap, silencing the room.
Doris sensed something amiss.
If she had known it would go so smoothly, she would have intervened.
She quickly approached, taking Stuart's arm. "Stuart, are you okay? Are you hurt?"
She then turned to Liam. "What are you thinking? He just got out of the hospital. Can you handle the consequences if something happened?"
Liam retorted, "Perfect, I'm a doctor. I can treat him if he's hurt!"
"Shut up!" Josephine glared, "Aren't you leaving?"
Liam softened, gently pushing Josephine's wheelchair, "Let's go, now."
"Liam! What did I say to you before?"
Josephine vented as they left. Claudia shot a look at Stuart and Doris before hurrying away.
Josephine hadn't spared Stuart a glance or a word.
Stuart’s expression was grim, whether from the fight or other reasons.
Doris held onto him, and he kept his eyes on Josephine in silence.
Doris couldn't help but ask, "Stuart, are you okay?"
He finally looked away, softly saying, "I'm fine, sorry for worrying you."
"I am utterly terrified."
The elevator opened, and the three entered.
As the doors closed, Josephine locked eyes with Stuart.
Before he could respond, she turned her head slightly, and the doors shut.
Stuart instructed without emotion,
"Get someone to clean up." He then pulled Doris's hand and headed to the nearby lounge.
The three got in the car, and Liam, noticing Josephine's anger, reassured, "Josie, I'm fine. If you had been a few minutes later, I would have taken him down!"
Claudia remarked, "I think it would have been the other way around! You're not kids anymore; why did you fight?"
Liam explained, "You don't know what he did."
"Enough," Josephine said softly, "Liam, if you pull a stunt like this again, we're done!"
Liam reluctantly agreed, "I understand."
As they sat down for lunch, Josephine's phone rang. It was Cliff.
His voice was urgent, "Josie, are you hurt? Where are you? I'll send someone to pick you up."
