Why I wrote this story is the topic of the Author’s Notes at the beginning of this tome. If you have not and find interest, you’ll want to consult there.
Many people come to bear in the creation of a novel. This one is no different.
First, Anita, who for the last fifty years has been my best friend, confidant, counselor, and wife, encouraged me to sacrifice a good portion of our “us-time” to pursue this dream. Her kind “put up or shut up” talk was what I needed to assuage my guilt and get me to work.
Second, Casz Brewster, the founder, moderator, of my original writers' group and my writing coach, within a month of meeting her the first time, insisted I write a complete novel. That novel is Born to Make the Kill.
Finally, to my first readers who gave me feedback and helped shape this story from its rough early drafts to the final work.
