Chapter 73 Chapter 73
Bella's POV.
A day later, Jacob surprised me with my mother's presence and I was happy to see her after a few days of her absence… it was the little things like this that made me appreciate him even more.
I told Mother about my ordeal with Emilio and his banishment and how the pack was at uneasy days that followed.
"Sweetie, I love how you handled yourself at that moment, but I think I need to train you so that you can fully will your abilities at your will." She said with a serious voice.
"Okay, Mom," I responded without hesitation because I knew how powerful she was and her training me would not be a bad idea because I got to use it as an excuse to bond with her more. "So when can we start?" I asked with an inquisitive stare like that of a toddler wanting to spend more time with its mother.
You can't blame me, I was deeply deprived of motherly love from a tender age. I let out a tight-lipped crimson smile.
"I have some free time today, so we can start right now." She answered back. We were strolling in the garden after showing her around the mansion.
"Yes," I murmured with a grin.
"Is there an open space we can use for training?" She further questioned.
"Umh, I don't know any places for training but just give me a minute." I glanced around the open space and caught a glimpse of two warriors patrolling the premises and called to them.
"You called, Luna." One responded with his chest sticking out.
"Is there an open space I could use?"
"Yes, there is one big open space used for training warriors at the warrior's quarters." He replied while pointing in the direction of the area. It was located just next to the mansion boundaries. I turned my head in that direction and caught a glimpse of a vast training arena with warriors busy grunting as they endured the cumbersome training.
Oh, I wonder why I never paid much attention to it. I sneered.
"Thank you, you may proceed with whatever you are doing," I ordered the two warriors to excuse us. "Mom, let's go." I grinned excitedly. But my mom gazed upon me from neck to foot with a frown.
"You want to train in that outfit?" She asked.
I glanced at myself with a straight face. "What's wrong with my outfit? It is your pretty dress I should question." I chortled…I wore a yellow long-sleeved sweetheart neckline crop top, a black leather jacket with pure white jeans, and five inches-matching black leather ankle boots.
"Don't worry about my pretty dress, worry about your white jeans because they will get messy." She teased and giggled with the most beautiful smile I had ever seen.
"Okay, then let's see who will get dirty first." I chuckled then clasped her hand while I hurriedly led her to the training grounds.
The training grounds…
When we got there, I ordered all the warriors to leave us alone as I did not want them to see me humiliate myself.
My mother was a strong woman hence just a flicker of her fingers would send me tumbling down to the muddy ground.
For reasons best known to the warriors, they preferred training in the mud they created on the ground by consistently hoising the ground with water.
I glanced at my new expensive ankle boots with a frown because they were ruined, but it was worth it, spending time with my mother felt so good.
"Are you sure you don't want to change?" My beautiful mother stood at one end of the ground while I stood on the other, with beads of sweat forming on my forehead. My mother was very intimidating on the battlefield. I swallowed hard.
"Bring it on." My voice cracked due to fear brewing inside of me.
"Okay, suit yourself. But I won't go easy on you." She then changed her facial expressions as she changed her stance. She raised her hands in the air with her fingers parted. "Brace yourself, child."
Holy fuck, I whimpered, regretting my decision to train with her.
With just a flicker of her finger, she hurled me into the air and fell flat, faced on the muddy ground.
"Awe," my body ached, not to the fall but from the invisible force she manifested.
"You see what I was telling you, you unleashed your voice powers by accident. Now you need to will your abilities when you want. Now get up." She yelled with a serious voice.
With hesitant movements, I got up and rubbed off the mud from my eyes, suddenly I heard Jacob laughing in a hidden corner I could clearly spot him.
I darted at him with crimson cheeks. Why would he show up at the most embarrassing moment? My mother giggled too and that was it, I was not going to be made a laughing stock by my own mother and husband. I peeled off my leather jacket with serious boldface... If my mother had a certain limit to her power as a siren, imagine me a hybrid, half-wolf, and half-siren, unleashing all the powers I possessed that no one else had.
I would cause catastrophic havoc. I let out a naughty smirk.
"Arrrgh" I screamed with heavy shuddering breathing.
I tapped into the rage Zach and Crystal caused me over the years and unleashed a force I had never seen before, hurling my poor mother back to the mansion.
Suddenly I heard murmurs amongst the warriors who had surprisingly come out of hiding to spectate.
"Holy moly, the Luna is stronger than we thought."
I looked at Jacob whose jaw dropped and his eyes widened.
"I'm okay." My mother got up from the ground while holding onto her back.
"Oh shit, Mommy, I'm coming." I hurriedly jogged to my mother with Jacob following closely behind.
"Mom, are you okay?"
"Queen Zita, are you okay?"
Jacob and I paused a question with unblinking focused eye contact.
"Yes, but I think I need to sit out the next round. Alpha Jacob, please spar with her some more. I need to sit down." She let out a forced tight-lipped smile on her face. "Her powers are stronger than I anticipated."
"Not a problem queen, hey you warrior, come here," he called one of the warriors and instructed them to escort my mother inside to go and rest.
"Shall we," He said while he pointed back to the training arena.
"Yes, but be warned, I will not be lenient on you," I smirked triumphantly because I had easily defeated my mother in simple introductory combat.
"Don't be too quick to judge me in combat little wolf." He replied with a mischievous smirk.
I giggled with a mischievous grin. "Don't say I did not warn you." We walked back to the arena with his hand placed on my butt.
"Ready?" He asked.
"When you are," I smirked then posed myself in a defensive mood.
With Jacob, as my training partner, I began to train. It was a process that was both exhilarating and terrifying, but I felt a rush of power every time I tapped into my siren abilities, my voice taking on a hypnotic quality that left Jacob mesmerized. And when I let loose my wolf side, my senses became razor-sharp, my strength and speed unmatched.
Days that followed…
Our training sessions were intense, but often punctuated by flirtatious gestures from both of us. Jacob would throw me a sly smile when I nailed a particularly tricky maneuver, or brush a strand of hair out of my face when it fell loose from my ponytail. I, in turn, would playfully tease him, batting my eyelashes and giving him a coy grin whenever he complimented me.
As we trained, I began to discover new facets of my powers. I found that I could use my siren voice not just to hypnotize, but also to heal, my voice taking on a soothing quality that had Jacob's wounds I inflicted on him, closing up in seconds. And when I tapped into my wolf abilities, I found that I could track anything, my sense of smell leading me unerringly to my target.
Jacob was impressed and more than a little turned on by my abilities I guessed. He watched me move with fluid grace, my body a perfect fusion of wolf and siren. He couldn't help but feel a surge of pride every time I succeeded at something new, and he made sure to let me know it.
Our training sessions became a dance of power and flirtation, the air between us charged with electricity. I felt myself falling more deeply in love with Jacob with each passing day, drawn to his strength and his unwavering belief in me.
And Jacob, for his part, was completely smitten with me, captivated by my unique blend of wolf and siren. He couldn't wait to see what I would do next, what new abilities I would unlock. But most of all, he just wanted to be close to me, to feel the warmth of my body pressed against his, to hear my siren voice whispering in his ear.
Together, we were unstoppable, a force to be reckoned with. And as we continued to train, we grew closer and closer, our bond deepening with each passing day.
It wasn't just our powers that made us a formidable team, but our love and trust for each other. I knew that I could rely on Jacob to have my back no matter what, just as he knew that I would always be there for him.
As we finished up our latest training session, Jacob pulled me close, his arms wrapping tightly around my waist. I tilted my head up to look at him, my eyes sparkling with love and mischief.
"You know, alpha," I said, a coy smile playing on my lips. "I think I'm getting pretty good at this whole hybrid thing."
Jacob chuckled, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "You're more than just 'pretty good,' Bella," he said, his voice low and husky. "You're amazing."
I felt a flush spreading across my cheeks, and I leaned up to press a soft kiss against his lips. I could taste the salty tang of his sweat on his skin, a heady reminder of the intensity of our training.
"I couldn't have done it without you," I whispered, my breath warm against his skin.
He pulled back slightly to look at me, his eyes were dark with desire. "And I couldn't have done it without you," he said, his voice rough with emotion. "You're my mate, Bella. My everything."
I felt my heart swell with love for him, and I tiptoed to kiss him again. As our lips met, I felt a surge of power coursing through me, the wolf and siren within me singing with joy.
As we pulled away from our kiss, Jacob grinned at me, his eyes sparkling mischievously. "You know, you're even more beautiful when you're covered in sweat," he said, winking at me.
I rolled my eyes, but I couldn't help the smile that tugged at the corners of my mouth. "You're incorrigible, alpha," I said, playfully pushing him away.
Jacob laughed, his fingers tracing lazy circles on my back. "And you love it," he teased, leaning in to nuzzle my neck.
I shivered at the sensation, my siren instincts kicking in as I felt my voice take on a sultry quality. "Maybe I do," I murmured, my lips brushing against his ear.
Jacob groaned, his hands tightening on my waist. "You're going to be the death of me, Bella," he said, his voice low and husky.
I could feel my heart racing in my chest, my body responding to his touch with fierce abandon. "I thought you were supposed to be the alpha," I said, my voice teasing. "Shouldn't you be able to handle a little flirtation?"
He grinned, his fingers trailing lower down my back. "Oh, I can handle it," he said, his eyes smoldering with desire. "But that doesn't mean I won't enjoy every minute of it."
I felt a thrill of excitement run through me, and I tiptoed to kiss Jacob again, my body pressed tightly against his. As we kissed, I felt the power of my wolf and siren abilities surging through me, our bond growing stronger with every passing moment.
Together, we were unstoppable. And I knew that with Jacob by my side, there was nothing I couldn't do.
"I love loving you, Bella." He murmured.
