Chapter 39 Chapter 39

Chapter 39 Chapter 39
Alpha Jacob's POV.

Beta Olivia walked over to me with a heavy boldface and I knew that something was up.

"Alpha, sorry to disturb you but we caught a rogue a few hours ago and he is not talking to us." She whispered into my ear just as I was about to demonstrate my hot dance moves to Bella.

Shit, I heaved a dreadful sigh because I needed to attend to the pressing matter right away.
But what of Bella? I looked at her with a yearning face because every time, I wanted to share an intimate moment with her something always seemed to appear from the blues... Maybe the universe was trying to notify me of a message I was overlooking.

"I'm sorry, Bella, but I need to attend to another important matter. I will be right back." I leaned in and grazed my lips on her cheek and hurriedly disappeared into the crowd of people.

"Where is the rogue?" I snarled loudly with flared nostrils.

Of late the rogues had developed a certain amount of courage to freely roam around my territory and I needed to get to the bottom of it before I lost control of the situation.

"We have him chained in the dungeon Alpha." Beta Olivia answered back while we both hurriedly sauntered straight to the dungeon a few minutes away from the garden to the mansion.

"Who else have you told about his capture?"

"No one, apart from the warriors guarding him." She answered back.

"Good, keep this news between us and don't tell the elders about it, I will tell them myself when the time is right."

"As you wish, Alpha."

We got to the metallic doors to excess the dungeon underground in the mansion...

My torturing chamber was a room where torture was inflicted on all the enemies I captured in my territory.
The medieval torturing chamber was built by my great grandfather, the first Alpha Damon shepherd, hence the windowless designed chamber had no electricity installed in it, therefore it was only lit by a few candles and was specifically designed to induce "horror, dread and despair" to anyone but those possessing a strong mind and "nerves of steel".

I got into the stuffy room and in the center of it, was a metal chair with heavy-duty metallic chains chained around the rogue, Beta Olivia apprehended.

Upon noticing my presence, the two warriors guarding him immediately bowed their heads in submission.
"Alpha." They said uniformly bobbing their heads.

'Has he said anything while I was gone?' Beta Olivia snarled mind linking.

'No beta.' one of the warriors responded.

"leave him to me" I let out an evil smirk.

Olivia stepped aside from me.

"Hey, my name is Alpha Jacob Shepard and you were caught in my territory. What were you doing?"
I walked closer to the rogue and he spat out bloody saliva on my shoe...

This idiot is asking for a quick death.
I arched my back to get a better look at his face with clenched jaws… he looked like a new rogue from the dark forest because I knew almost every rogue from there.

"Apologise Alpha." One of the warriors immediately got his hank and wiped out his saliva off my shoe.

"Alpha, it's been like this for hours since we caught him..he is not saying anything we ask of him." Beta Olivia spoke out.

"Don't worry yourself, just give me a few minutes. Leave us alone." I ordered everyone out because I wanted to deal with this good-for-nothing rogue sadistically.

The two warriors and my Beta strolled out of the room leaving the two of us, then I instantaneously changed my tolerating mood. I was a very impatient person when it came to dealing with such matters.

I removed my jacket and folded up my sleeves to the elbow.
Grabbed a metal stool and positioned it close to his him.

"I have a mate to get back to immediately, so I advise you don't waste my time." holding up my hand, I forced my sharp claws out of my fingers in the Rogue's face... But he maintained his stern poise.

"That doesn't scare me… Do your worst, I will still heal." The rogue giggled like an unreasonable person who did not want to reason with me.

"I knew you would say that, so I'm only giving you one chance, who sent you to my village?" I positioned my sharp claws on his chest and scoured into his flesh.

He screamed bitterly with a puckish smirk.
"I'm taking that answer with me to my afterlife." He said while spitting out bloody saliva.

That was the goodness of rogues who were sent on missions by their superiors, they never released any information about their superiors, hence I knew asking him for answers was a waste of my precious time.
I looked at him, and he was dead serious about not telling me anything more. I huffed and puffed in his face to try to intimidate him but he did not flinch at my scare.
Good for nothing loyal son's of bitches... if only they were this loyal to there previous packs, then we wouldn't have had them roaming the dark forests freely.

"Do your waste Alpha," he laughed evilly and that's when I lost control of myself and dug deeper into his chest and yanked out his still-beating heart, with glowing eyes.

He cried out bitterly until he passed out lifelessly.

That's what you get for playing smart with me. I spat on him and got up from the chair.

I did not like it when my time was being wasted by these simple dogs of the dark forest... But I still needed to investigate the matter privately, because this was now getting out of hand.

Beta Olivia peeked into the room and darted at the dead rogue with a pale face.

"Did he tell you anything?" She raised a question.

"No, "I ambled towards her with a stern poise. "Next time, call me when your capture is ready to talk."

"Yes, Alpha." She quickly handed me a piece of clothing and I wiped my bloody hand clean.

"Your jacket Alpha?" She handed me the jacket.

"Give it to Gamma Nick, he will know what to do with it." I hurriedly sauntered back to the garden and half of the people had left the after-party.

I wonder why?
