Chapter Fifteen

Robert's POV:

We agreed to talk with her boss. We agreed that Ella couldn't do any more long hours. She was just a baby, and they could just give her this job as a part-timer. I could just get Ella a new job through one of my friends. She doesn't need to work over there.

We woke up and got her ready for today. She was busy messing with her straps. She wasn't getting out of her highchair. We weren't that dumb. It was little proof of course. Now that we took her to the store, she was blushing like a tomato, she didn't want to come in, but it wasn't an option.

Dragging the girl to the store, she walked toward the books section while we moved to search for the manager, we found her in her office, sitting.

"Hi, my name is Robert, and this is my wife Kennedy. Do you have a few moments that we can talk to you about something?" I say introducing myself to the woman. She just nods, in disgust and invites us in, murmuring about the no return policy.

"We wanted to talk with you about Ella. One of your employees. We ask you to cut her hours to a reasonable amount for the foreseeable future. No extreme projects or anything she has to do by herself for extremely long periods of time," I tell her.

"I can't do that. She's full-time; if she doesn't like her job, she can just leave," she replies in the same nasally voice.

"No, we have connections. We can have you fired. You cut her hours or make her part-time. She is not your slave to where she can work forty-plus hours until she is drained," I tell her.

"She can! You can't," she replies, her face turning red. "Who are you even?"

I smirked. "I happen to be a lawyer. That's all you need to know. So are you gonna cut her hours or not?" I said firmly, looking the good-for-nothing owner in the eye.

"Fine, Whatever, tell the brat she's only a half time now. She'll only be paid half too," she says, what a piece of shit, Ella doesn't even need her money.

"That's great. Happy to do business with you," I tell her not really caring about how much she's getting paid, she'll get her allowance from us. This is just to help her stay happy, we don't really care about the money.

I walked out with my wife, holding her hand, happy that my baby wouldn't have any more long working hours. She could still come since she seems to enjoy her work. But we also want time for her to be our little kitten.

We walked out of the woman's office and went to find my little angel, holding my wife's hand I was smiling. Until I saw her sitting with another guy, she was smiling her cheeks blushed red and smiling I saw red. I moved toward them and stood next to my baby landing a possessive hand around her shoulders.

"You are done here, baby girl?" I ask with a fake smile that could be spotted from a mile away.

"Uh...I...almost! Can I finish the book with my new friend? He helped me get a book off a shelf I couldn't reach," she says. "His name is Hunter," she added on.

I gave the guy an overlook, he wasn't bad looking in any way or form, his aura didn't scream dominant either, but I'm a possessive person, don't be surprised with my next move. I took hold of Ella's waist and lifted her up to my lap she can read her story here.

"Daddy," she squeaks, the guy's eyes went wide for a second, but he got his cool again, and just smile, asking Ella to finish the story.

We stayed sitting here listening to Ella's reading until her story was over. This guy now that I'm sitting with him, seemed to be very submissive, I wonder but for now. Once Ella is done, we're going to the park, she deserves a little day out.

"Thank you for reading with me. It was fun," she says to the guy smiling from her position in my lap, Kennedy was sitting opposite to us not really minding unlike me.

"Maybe we can do it again little one," he says to her, I just smile and drag my baby with me outside, with my hand around her small waist, submissive or not she's still min.

"Daddy, you were being mean to my new friend. why?" she ashes upset with a big pout on her face and crossing her little arms over her chest.

"You're mine little one," I tell her between gritted teeth.

"Let the little one breathe, Robert," Kennedy says with a laugh, she knew how possessive I am to both my girls.
