Lost Pup

Lost Pup
"I would be, who are you?" Victor didn't see the look that Hem gave him. Nor did he see his father shaking his head.

"Oh you speak like you are the baddest thing in this room. Should I prove you wrong?" The Wolf asked still petting the dogs as he looked up at Victor.

Victor looked toward the man then felt his whole body go cold. The moment his eyes meet The Wolf's eyes he could see the power behind them, the green eyes he had where not golden with the look of wanting to eat him alive. He shivered from that thought looking away from the man. Hem took a step back away from the man. The dogs didn't even notice anything had happened. Just sat letting the man pet them.

"Yes that is right, hide the fear. I can feel it however. Smell that candy like scent from you as you shiver at the power I can release." The Wolf told him almost laughing at the words. "Oh you two boys are so good. You would never act that way."

Alex didn't really understand this man, why he acted this way. Maybe it was because he spent so much time as an animal. It wasn't something that he would say to the man however. So they let the ackward moment fliter though the room. Victor took his mug of blood leaving the kitchen. Alex really couldn't blame him for leaving. The Wolf wanted you to fear him, wanted to see that you didn't trust him.

"So what do you need help with?" Alex asked sittin on one of the bar stools in the kitchen. Misha came to stand beside him.

"I have lost track of a pup." The Wolf told him not looking toward them still playing with the dogs. "This pup is very special and I need her back."

"Do you mean human?" Alex asked not wanthing to think that is what he had misplaced.

"Not human, she is fae. Though she is still a pup. She doesn't know how to control her powers and in this place she could get into trouble. Trouble that would cause humans to find out that the fae are real. We can't have that." The Wolf finally stood to turn toward them. "She was born in the fae relam and someone let her into this world instead. The Queen told me to come to you for help."

"The Queen?" Alex knew who he was going to say behind he even opened his mouth.

"You know her as Crystal. Though in our world her name is different." The Wolf watched as Alex sighed at the mention of the name. "You aren't happy about this?"

"Well she...nevermind. I am happy to help you find the pup. Can you tell us about her? Where do you think she would go?" Alex had to find out information about the pup so that he could find her and be done with it.

"She has offered a great reward for the pup." The Wolf told him the thought it through on what to say. "She is young, abut would almost look like an adult in this world. In ours however she would be a child. Seeing as she is young she will look for sweets, kids to play with, and food. If she doesn't get her way is when we have to worry. Anger isn't something that she is used to."

"Alright, so can you tell me what she looks like? Or can she change that at will?" Alex thought maybe she went to the mall. Tons of sweets and food there.

"She can change her looks, but in this world she would be around this young womans size. Maybe shorter, with a little more meat on her bones. Though not fat, she would have long black hair no matter the looks she takes. Also her eyes would be opal looking. She can't change that yet. It would most likely freak most humans out." The Wolf told him as he thought it through. "Also she will be wearing a long dress, almost touching the floor. It will seem almost like a flower in the feel. Looking like petals on her skin instead of fabric."

"I am going to guess that your sense of smell isn't great in this city." Alex figured that The Wolve would have been able to find the girl if it wasn't for all the scents in the area.

"In truth I can still track rather well. Trouble is that it is so modren that I am not sure which way to go without showing myself. The Queen doesn't want anyone to see a wolf in the area. Something about not really having wild animals like that in the city." The Wolf shurgged as he spoke. "Do you have tea?"

Alex nodded toward Hem who brewed the tea putting sugar and honey on the counter. After a few moments he put tea cups and a pot of tea on the counter. He wouldn't serve The Wolf however. The Wolf grinned as he poured himself some tea putting a large amount of sugar and honey in. Alex had never seen someone put that much sugar in a single cup of tea. He watched as The Wolf drank the tea like it was the most amazing thing in the world. He gave Hem a nod as he drank a second cup of tea.

"I have to agree with your Queen on the not roaming around in wolf form. Most would just think you are a large dog. Trouble is they would then call and report it. Then you would have to deal with the cops. Not something I would want to see." Alex figured the best place to start would be the mall, but it was to late for it to be open. So that would be a thing for tomorrow. "Well the main place I think she might go would be the mall. Trouble is they would be closed now. She would have to find someplace to sleep until morning."

"Most likely she will go into any wooded area. It will feel more like home." Misha told him with a smile.

"That would be true, she will be pulled toward the forest. The inner animal would want to be outside to sleep." The Wolf told them as he looked around the house. "I will have to stay here with you until we find her. Is there a more wooded area near here?"

"There is a small wooded area close to the house. You would have come right through it to get here." Alex waved a hand toward the road. "I wanted the house away from the road."

"I shall sleep there then, I don't want to impose on you any longer than I have to." The Wolf told them as he turned and left the house.

"We have to deal with him until the girl is found?" Hem said his voice shaking as he cleaned up the cups. "I don't like it."

"We need to find her and fast." Alex told Hem with a sigh.
