King Rryan leaned forward, his eyes locked on mine.
“I remember William,” he said with a grim tone.
“What happened to him?” He didn’t really care; the man had stolen her from him years ago. Good riddance.
I felt a lump form in my throat as memories came flooding back.
“He..he was torched,” I whispered. “During the attack on our village.”
King Rryan’s face darkened. His jaw clenched. Seeing what happened to her through her eyes was different.
“I’m sorry, Syla,” he said. “I had no idea. You have my word, we are searching for those who did this, I will make them pay.” I knew that he would. He had a reputation and a bloodlust to satisfy. No one crossed him and got away with it.
I felt a sense of comfort from his words, but my mind was still reeling. What did he want from me? And how did he know my name? Why was I, a nobody from a tiny village, suddenly so important to him? Father never allowed me to go anywhere near the pyramids after my mom died. He had moved us to the far edge of our kingdom, for work, he explained.
“My mother was one of your father’s trusted feeders before she died. I was allowed to come here with her on special occasions.”
“I am aware,” he said, watching me.
So that's how he knows my name; he remembers me. His eyes seemed to see deep into my soul, his power gathered around him like hellhounds waiting to be commanded.
“Syla, you’re more important than you realize,” his voice low and mysterious. “You are correct, your mother was one of our…” he paused, searching for the right words. “...royal feeders, but there's more to her story than what you were told.” he watched me closely, hesitating to tell me more.
My father's words came flooding back to me… ‘Forgive me for not telling you the truth; I just wanted to keep you to myself a little longer.’
His beast was growling at him, clawing to come out. Rryan already knew what he wanted, as he adjusted his swelling cock.
He stared at me for a long time. I had so many questions, but I was still very much afraid. What did he mean? What secrets had my father kept from me?
He motioned for me to come closer to him and sit on his bed.
“Lydia, bring me the box.” His gaze remained fixed on me, with an intensity that made me both tense and warm. Lydia nodded and disappeared into a nearby room. She returned holding a small ornate box. He took it from her opening it like it was his most precious treasure, revealing a beautiful silver necklace with a crystal pendant, with silver symbols holding it in place.
“This was your mother’s.” his voice was soft and loving. “She gave it to me before she died, ten years ago, with instructions to keep it safe for you.”
“You were eight, maybe nine, the last time I saw you with her. I spent a very long time waiting for you to appear before me, and you never came.” he waited for me to tell him why, but I didn’t know. My father forbade me from coming anywhere near the pyramids.
He held out the necklace and placed it around my neck. I gasp, my heart racing. It was the most beautiful pendant I had ever seen. Why had my mother given him her pendant to hold for me? What did this all mean?
His eyes locked onto mine, as if he could read my thoughts.
“Syla, this necklace is more than just a piece of jewelry. It symbolizes your status within my kingdom, it speaks of who you truly are, your true identity is encased around the crystal.”
I felt confused and curious. What did he mean by ‘true identity’.. I was just a small village girl, or so I thought.
His thoughts were a mixture of wanting her to know the truth and fear of her rejection. She had grown into the most beautiful young lady he had ever laid eyes on, and he wanted what was rightfully his. His eyes drank in every delicious, intoxicating inch of her. He knew what was happening, and nothing in this world could stop it.
Rryan stood up, his movements fluid.
“Syla, you will stay here with me, just down the hall. You need to know more about who you are and what that means. Lydia will show you to your room.”
I nodded and thanked him once more for choosing me. I was still trying to process everything. As I followed Lydia out of his room, I couldn’t shake the feeling that my life was about to change forever.
King Rryan paced the floors all night, her scent so so much like her mother's. How could he tell her the truth? … or should he say nothing and hope she will want him too? Her smell was delicious; he could almost taste her, and he wanted to taste her; he wanted to make her scream his name as she filled his mouth with her juices, while he fed on her.
He slowed his pacing as his eyes fixed on the door where Syla had disappeared. He hadn’t touched her yet, but the temptation was overwhelming. A constant desire in the back of his mind that intruded on his every thought. He was well aware that he had to be careful; Syla’s innocence was fragile, but her innocence was not the problem.
I couldn’t sleep. My mind would not let go of everything that was happening. I found myself standing outside his chambers. I knocked softly, my heart racing with anticipation.
The King’s Deep voice bade me enter, and I slipped inside, my eyes adjusting to the dim light from his fireplace. He stood there in the doorway of his balcony, lost in thought. He thought that I was Lydia with some news or a request. His back was to me, his broad shoulders silhouetted against the moonlit sky. I felt a warm heat between my legs as I watched him slowly turn to face me. He had discarded his robe and wore only a loincloth. His large cock bulging against the fabric. His long black hair had soft curls just like mine. His massive muscles always appeared to be oiled. His deep teal-blue eyes seemed to glow in the darkness of his room. He towered above me as I drew near to him. My eyes fixed on his full lips, he was beautiful. He looked surprised to see me.
“What brings you here to my bed chambers, at this late hour, Syla?” he asked, his voice firm, but his bulge spoke volumes.
I love hearing him say my name; it rolled off his tongue like an exquisite desert. I took a deep breath, my pulse pounding in my veins.
“I couldn’t sleep,” my voice barely above a whisper.
“I wanted to ask you something.” his eyes took me in, my gown showing off my soft curves. My eyes betrayed me; they spoke of my deep desires for him, and it did not go unnoticed.
King Rryan raised an eyebrow, his gaze intense.
“What is it?”
I swallowed hard, my mouth dry.
“Please tell me more about my mother and the necklace. I know there is more that you’re not telling me.” My voice trembled slightly as my hand held tightly to the necklace he had given me.
King Rryan’s expression turned stern, his eyes narrowing.
“You’re pushing boundaries, Syla. Be careful,” his voice rough, but I sensed an underlying tension, a need that he couldn’t quite hide.
Did she have the same gift as her mother? A seer. He thought.
I spoke to him in hushed tones, slowly inching closer to him,
“I have lost everything, I have nothing left in this world, my King,” I pleaded with him.
His gaze faltered, his eyes flashing with a mixture of lust and restraint. He took a step back, his broad shoulders tensing, as if trying to maintain a distance would slow his burning desires. But I could see the crack in his armor, the lust in his eyes.
“You have me,” he whispered, but it sounded more like a low growl.
I stopped mere inches from him, my heart pounding in my chest. I chose my words carefully, “I’m trying to find something to hold on to.” I whispered, my breath dancing across his skin. “Something to make me feel alive again.” My head tilted up to look into his dreamy eyes.
He grinned, his eyes burning with primal need. For a long moment, we just stared at each other, the air thick with tension. Then his deep voice dropped even lower, “And you think I can give you that?”
He, too, was choosing his words carefully, hinting at what was just below the surface, demanding attention. He allowed my hand to touch his chest.
His beast growled deep inside him, Mine! He ignored him. His eyes watched my every move, his hunger building.
“Why am I so important to you, my King? I am very grateful for all that you have done. I thought I’d become your servant or maybe your maid. But here I am, placed high above the others. I need to know why,” my eyes pleaded with his. I moved closer, my breast touching his arm.
His chest rose and fell beneath my touch, his heart beating faster with each passing moment. Then suddenly his whole demeanor changed. He had made up his mind, and nothing in this world would stop him.
“Your mother,” he spoke carefully, his voice deep with emotion.
“You want to know about her, from me?” He lowered his head to sniff my hair. I leaned my head to the side, giving him my neck; if he chose to take it, it was my act of submission, allowing him full access.
“Yes, my King.” My hand, still on his chest, feeling the silkiness of his skin and the beating of his heart.
He could smell her blood; it was sweet, his fangs ready to emerge and feed, he denied them. His eyes, blazing, he grinned.
“I know very little,” he lied, his voice firm. A stance he had taken with everyone who had sought to pry into his personal life and the secrets he held.
I felt a pang of disappointment, but I refused to give up.
“Please, my King,” I pleaded, my voice low. “I need to know.”
