Chapter 18 Chapter 18 A Visit From Lyra

Chapter 18 Chapter 18 A Visit From Lyra

About three months had passed.. When the news came that Lyra was entering our realm, Rryan and I waited for her in his study.

"King Rryan!" She bowed to him before walking forward, with a bag in her hand, "I was able to get that relic you needed." She handed him the bound leather pouch.

He quickly opened it; the relic glowed Jade green, illuminating his face.
"Don't touch it, it will cause great havoc if not handled properly," she explained.

Kira was summoned from her room in the pyramid. She appeared in a swirling cloud of dark smoke.
"Ah, the relic! Well done!" she smiled, taking the pouch
Kira's eyes sparkled as she examined the relic. "This will amplify Syla's powers exponentially."

Rryan's gaze waslocked on Lyra. He was impressed. "Your services are invaluable. You've proven yourself a loyal ally."
Lyra bowed again. "My debt to you, King Rryan, is slowly repaid."

I walked towards Kira, sensing the relic's energy.
Kira handed me the pouch. "Careful, Syla. Its power can consume you."
I took the pouch, feeling the relic's energy coursing through me.
"The jades glow is mesmerizing." I whispered as I peered in.

Rryan stepped closer, his arms circling my waist. "We'll begin the Bonding of Souls ritual tonight."

Lyra's expression turned enigmatic. "I'll prepare the ancient texts and sacred symbols."

As night descended, the pyramid's inner sanctum transformed into a sacred space.

Kira lit candles, while Lyra etched symbols on the floor.
Rryan took my hand, his eyes burning with devotion. "Forever and always, my love."

We stood naked, facing each other. He kissed my lips with great passion. Kira coughed to get our attention as his hands explored my curves.

We stood facing each other, before the altar, the air thickened with anticipation.

Kira invoked the ancient incantation, while Lyra traced intricate symbols in mid-air.

Rryan's eyes locked onto mine, his immortal heart beating for me alone.

Suddenly, a blinding light illuminated the sanctum.
A majestic figure materialized, his presence commanding reverence.
"I am Ahkin, god of Eternity," he declared, his voice thunderous.

Ahkin's gaze swept over us. "Your bond, Rryan, and Syla, shall be sealed for eternity." With a wave of his hand, Ahkin conjured a radiant aura.
"By the power of the gods, your souls are bound eternally, not just your souls but the souls of your descendants as well."

As the aura enveloped us.
Ahkin's voice boomed again. "Syla, daughter of the night, carries a blessed child."

My heart skipped a beat. "A child?"

Ahkin smiled. "Niklaus, your son, shall wield unparalleled power."

Rryan's eyes widened in awe. "Our child?"

Ahkin's expression turned solemn. "Niklaus's second mate will rule by his side, a very powerful Demi-God, he shall be."

A vision flashed before us: Niklaus, strong and majestic, with a woman of divine beauty.
"Keep your bloodline pure," Ahkin warned. "For the fate of realms hangs in the balance."
As Ahkin vanished, the sanctum fell silent.

Rryan's arms enveloped me, his love and protectiveness overwhelming.

"Our child," he whispered, "will change the course of eternity."
"Niklaus," I whispered with a smile.

When King Danyel heard the news, he joined us in our celebrations. There was much wine and music with dances.
"He will be named after you," I smiled and kissed Danyel's lips.

His pride was building as he listened to what had happened during the ritual. "I wonder what will happen to his first mate?" he asked.

"He never said." I, too, wonder this same thing, but the news of me being able to carry my child full term was something to celebrate. My smile was contagious, everyone hugged me, "We will finally have our Heir!" Rryan said, pulling me close to him.

As the months went by, my belly grew quite large, so much so that it caused concern. Kira  smiled at me when I went to her for answers, "You, my child, carry not one child but two!"
My eyes grew wide.

"The second is a girl," she said as she peered into my future, "Her name will be Aurora!" Rryan had tears flowing down his face as he heard his mother's name.

"They will remain together their entire lives," she added.

Rryan's tears of joy fell onto my shoulder as he held me close.

"Aurora," he whispered, his voice trembling. "My mother's name."

Kira smiled. "The twins will share an unbreakable bond."

King Danyel beamed with pride.

"Two heirs, a double blessing."

Lyra's eyes sparkled. "Niklaus and Aurora, a formidable duo."

As my belly grew, our kingdom prepared for the arrival of our twins.
Rryan's devotion intensified, his love for our children boundless.

One fateful night, under the full moon, my water broke.

Kira guided me through the birth, her ancient wisdom reassuring. While Lydia held one hand, Rryan held the other, his immortal powers calming my pain.

With final pushes, Niklaus and Aurora entered the world.

Their first cries echoed through the pyramid, a harmonious duet.

The Kingdom's drum pounded as the dance began, a celebration throughout the kingdom. Dancers danced out the story of the gods and their blessings on the twins.

Rryan's tears flowed anew as he cradled our babies in his massive arms.

"Niklaus, Aurora," he whispered, "our legacy begins."

As we gazed upon our twins, Ahkin's words echoed in our minds:

"Keep your bloodline pure..."
