Chapter 94 Probelm Arises
Lira pov
My fingers twisted in his shirt, pulling him closer still, and he made a low noise in his throat that I felt more than heard. I shoved his chest with both palms as he let me roll him. One twist and I was on top, knees slamming the furs on either side of his hips as the bed creaked loud under the sudden weight.
He stared up with dark eyes, lips parted, chest heaving but I didn’t wait. I ripped his belt loose, yanked the laces open and dragged his trousers down just far enough.
His cock sprang out, as It slapped heavy against his stomach. I bunched my gown to my waist, straddled higher, and grabbed him at the root. He hissed when my fingers squeezed as I sank down in one hard drop.
The stretch burned, he filled me to the hilt, hot and pulsing. His head thudded back against the bed, neck stretched long, a low grunt tearing out of him.
“Fuck, Lira, you feel so good,” he rasped
I didn’t answer, instead I started riding him angry and fast.
My hips slammed down, as skin smacked skin, wet sounds filling in the room. My thighs burned already as sweat dripped between my breasts sliding down my stomach.
His hands shot to my hips, fingers digging in hard enough to bruise, pulling me down harder and faster.
I leaned forward my nails raking red lines over his chest. His breath stuttered every time I took him deep.
He bucked up to meet me, his cock dragging against every raw spot inside. Heat coiled tight and vicious low in my belly. I ground down, circled once, twice, chasing it.
His grip tightened. “Close,” he growled through clenched teeth. I slammed down harder, once, twice more.
He swore hips jerking, and came hot inside me, pulsing hard. The feel of it shoved me over as pleasure snapped through me sharp and blinding.
I kept moving, riding the aftershocks until my legs shook and I collapsed forward onto his chest.
"Lira." My name broke on his lips. "I need you to know"
A sharp knock shattered the moment.
"Kael!" Thomas's voice came urgent through the door. "We have a problem!"
Kael growled. "It can wait."
"No, it can't!" More pounding. "The enemy packs are here. Bloodmoon, Ironwood, and Shadowridge. All three, with full war parties."
I froze. "They're attacking? Now?"
"Assembling at the border." Thomas sounded grim. "Maybe two hundred wolves total. They're demanding we surrender Lira for Eldric's crimes."
"Over my dead body." Kael was already moving, grabbing clothes.
"That might be the plan." I slid from bed, ignoring my protesting muscles. "Eldric threatened to return with an army. I didn't think he meant immediately."
"He must have contacted them before the challenge." Kael pulled on his shirt. "Had this been planned as revenge if he lost."
"Or as insurance if he won." I dressed quickly, my mind racing. "Either way, we're surrounded."
"Not surrounded." Thomas called through the door. "They're giving us one hour to decide. Surrender you for trial, or they attack."
"Trial." I laughed bitterly. "They mean execution."
"I won't let them take you." Kael reached for weapons. "We'll fight every single"
"Wait." I caught his arm. "How many warriors do we have ready?"
"Maybe ninety." Thomas answered. "Against their two hundred."
"Bad odds." I looked at Kael. "But I've faced worse."
"You just survived silver poisoning." He gripped my shoulders. "You can't fight yet."
"Watch me." I pulled free, opening the door to face Thomas. "Tell them I accept their challenge but on my terms."
Thomas's eyes widened. "Lira, they'll kill you."
"Or I'll kill them. Either way, this ends today."
"No." Kael's voice turned hard. "I forbid"
"You can't forbid me anything anymore." I met his eyes steadily. "I'm alpha too, remember? This is my choice."
"Then I'm fighting beside you." He moved to my side. "No arguments."
"I wouldn't dream of it." I turned back to Thomas. "Tell them Luna Lira Ashbourne accepts their terms, I will be there in an hour."
Thomas left, fear and respect warring in his expression.
I looked at Kael. "Ready to defend our territory?"
"With you?" Something fierce lit his eyes. "Always."
We headed for the armory together, the bond thrumming with shared determination. Outside, war drums bng. All calling for my blood.
