Another Way
“Finally, you're back. Where have you been?” Justin exclaimed and asked the moment he saw Armand.
“I just went to our ancestral house. It's a bit far from here. Where's Ralph?” Armand replied and looked around.
“He's just upstairs. We've been waiting for you. Arabelle's mom is in the hospital.” Justin informed him.
“What happened to her mom?” Armand asked, worried.
“She fell into a coma. We're thinking that the curse has been activated again.” Justin replied.
“It means the curse is already on its final stage.” Armand told himself more than to his friend.
Justin looks shocked from what he said even if he doesn't know a lot about it. But now that Armand knows more about that specific curse, he can try to save Arabelle's mom. It's a good idea to look for a spell that will break the curse. He needs to do the spell tonight so that Arabelle's mom will feel better soon. Although he's not planning to tell them about being their brother. He should just be content to be his sister's friend rather than be hated by them.
“Armand, good thing you're here now.” Ralph greeted him while descending on the staircase.
“I have found another way to break the curse that's on Arabelle's mom.” Armand shared it with his friends.
“That's good news!” Justin exclaimed and felt excited.
“Arabelle will be happy for sure. Good job!” Ralph said.
Ralph felt relieved now that Armand found another way to break the curse. It means that they no longer need to find the descendant. At least he doesn't have to kill anyone anymore. Not that he doesn’t want to do it but his conscience will be the one to suffer. He can't let Arabelle do it either. Armand's news seems to solve that problem almost instantly. He will cast the spell tonight but he needs to do it alone. Who are they to argue about it?
“Justin and I can just go to the hospital later tonight.” Ralph suggested to Armand.
“That's a good idea. We can't disturb him if we're not here.” Justin replied.
“Yeah, it will be better if I'm alone while I cast the spell.” Armand agreed on Ralph's suggestion.
“It's settled then.” Ralph replied and Justin nodded.
Armand wanted to do the spell as soon as possible but there's a right time for that. 9:00 PM is the best time to break curses. He will follow the time to make sure that it's going to be effective. After all, he can only do it once or else it will no longer work. He needs to be successful with breaking the curse. It's the only way that he can pay for what his mother did in the past. At least he will no longer feel the burden of what her mother did to that family.

“Sis, I think there's something wrong with mom!” Amie panics and calls on her sister.
“What is it?” Arabelle asked and rushed towards their mom's hospital bed.
“She's been moving her head back and forth.” Amie told her what she saw earlier.
“Maybe she's just dreaming.” Arabelle suggested.
Their mom is supposed to be in a coma. How can she move her head back and forth? Her suspicion must be right. It was the curse that made her unconscious. If only she can talk to Armand. Maybe he knows another way to break the curse. Although she might need to find the descendant soon. The more she delays it, the worse her mom's condition will be. She needs to act now before it’s too late. That curse can kill her mom like it did to her dad.
“I need to go somewhere. Will you be okay here?” Arabelle decided it's about time.
“Where are you going?” Amie asked worriedly.
“I have to find a way to break that curse once and for all!” she replied to her sister while trying to be calm.
“I'll be fine here. Be careful, sis!” Amie let her go.
Arabelle decided to go home so that she could do the locator spell first. Once she knows where to find the descendant, she will end his life. She can't let her mom succumb to the curse. The descendant must die for her mom to stay alive. Although she was unsure if she could kill someone before. The stakes seem to be higher now and she will not let her mom die. If someone must face their ending, it should be the descendant of the dark witch.
“Arabelle, where are you going?” Justin asked when he saw her rushing away from the hospital.
“I need to go home.” she replied but stopped.
“What are you planning?” Ralph suddenly shows up.
“Ralph! Mom's getting worse. I have to do something.” she explained trying to stop her shaking voice.
“Armand was able to find another way to break the curse. You don't have to do anything but wait.” Ralph told her.
“Did he? Oh thank goodness!” she exclaimed and almost knelt down. Good thing Ralph caught her before she fell.
“Are you okay?” Ralph asked worriedly.
“I am now.” she replied and finally smiled.
Ralph knew exactly what Arabelle was planning when they saw her outside the hospital. Thankfully, they were able to see her before she could do something really bad. Armand will cast the spell to break the curse tonight. All they need to do is to wait. They went back to the hospital to see Arabelle's mom. Hopefully, she will wake up soon once the curse is finally broken. Armand is a powerful warlock and they trust him to do everything he can.
“By the way, I lost time from the hallway last night.” Arabelle shared her experience with them.
“I knew something was wrong with that hallway. I got lost last night while trying to leave.” Ralph replied.
“Maybe there's an entity who lives in that hallway. It's like we're back to the enchanted forest.” Justin commented.
“We need to hurry. Amie is alone with mom!” Arabelle suddenly feels worried about her sister.
