The Trip

The Trip
The trio went to the port early in the morning. They decided to go a day before the blood moon. It's better to be early so that they can prepare beforehand. They need to know the list of things they have to find by heart. Once they find and reach the Invisible City, they must try to get the ingredients they need for the spell. Arabelle feels hopeful the moment they set foot on the boat.

“Nervous or excited?” Ralph asked.

“A little bit of both. I hope we can find the Invisible City tomorrow.” Ara replied as she took her seat on the boat.

“We'll find it and everything we need. Just relax.” he assured her and sat next to her.

She nodded and looked at the vast ocean there about to travel. Lily looks like she's taking her time to join them on the boat. She seems friendly while talking to the captain now. They looked at each other and hoped that she would get important information. For now, she's part of the team so they need to trust her a little. When she finally joined them, she had a wide smile plastered on her face.

“I talked to the captain and he told me he can bring us to the Invisible City tomorrow.” Lily happily informed them.

“Wow, that's pretty cool Lily!” Ara complimented her.

“Good job, Lily!” Ralph also appreciated her effort.

“Don't mention it. Let's just enjoy our trip for now.” Lily replied, looking proud of herself.

It's really remarkable for Lily to contribute something right away. Although she's also bombarding Arabelle a lot of information about witchcraft. There's a lot to learn in such a short time. Lily said that she needs to advance with her magic before casting the spell to break a curse. Only high powered witches can succeed casting it. If done prior to learning advanced spells, it can be deadly. She's going to break the curse to make her mother well, not dead.

“Here we go!” Lily announced as the engine of the boat started.

“Are you sure you will be okay when the sun goes up?” Arabelle whispered to Ralph.

“Don't worry, I brought my sunglasses.” he replied, take it out of his pocket and wear it in style.

“That's not what I meant!” she just gave up.

Ralph laughed at her reaction. He knows what she meant obviously. Although she didn't know that he's a day walker. A type of vampire who isn't bothered by the sunlight. He's just not going out during the day because he doesn't have any business to do so. It will be the first time for Arabelle to see him under the sun. She's worried he might turn into dust before they reach the island.

However, looking at Ralph with his sunglasses makes her heart flutter. He's so handsome especially while the sun is rising from the horizon. She can't even imagine how this guy can be a monster. Even if he looks extra pale compared to humans, his presence can turn heads. Arabelle suddenly noticed how Lily looked at Ralph with hearts in her eyes. She's trying everything for hom to notice her but Ralph seems to not care about romance.

Justin suddenly showed up on the port the moment the trio's boat left. He was waiting for them to leave before he took the next boat to the island. Even if he's not planning to go home anymore, he still likes Arabelle to be his mate. It doesn't even matter if he will still be an alpha or not. He just decided to follow her wherever she goes. The blood moon tomorrow night might help him to finally meet Arabelle. Vampires will be too blood thirsty to be in control. By then he knows he will leave her unattended.

Although he noticed another lady was with them. She's also pretty but not as pretty as Arabelle. Maybe he can just find a way to distract her. It seems like that lady is into the vampire. He saw the way she looked at him earlier. Maybe she can be his friend who can help him to get to Arabelle. He doesn't care anymore now that he doesn't belong to the pack anymore. It means that he can do whatever he wants. Nobody can stop him anymore.

“Sir, are you getting into the boat? We're about to leave.” the boat driver asked.

“Yeah, I'm coming!” he replied and got into the boat.

The boat driver started the engine and went on their way already. Justin sees a lot of other people on the boat. It seems that the island is famous. He hears them talk excitedly about the nice resort there. Seems like they are on their way for a vacation. Meanwhile, he's there to just follow Arabelle. He just learned about this trip while he was stalking her. That's what he only overheard but not the reason why they need to go to the island.

“They said that you can find the Invisible City from the end of that island during the full moon.” a woman in her late twenties told her friends.

“Really? Tomorrow night there will be a full moon. Let's find out if it's real!” her lady friend suggested.

“Sorry to interrupt but do you know what's there in that city?” Justin can't stop himself but to ask them.

“It's an island myth. According to the elders, the Invisible City is home to the fairies of the island.” The first woman replied to his question willingly.

“Fairies? Do you think it's real?” he asked again.

“Well, we're going there tomorrow night to find out. Want to come with us?” the other lady replied flirtatiously.

“Sure, I'll come with you tomorrow.” he flirted back, which made the young lady blush.

The women don't have an idea that they are talking to a werewolf. Justin feels proud of himself for finding a group of humans who can help him. Somehow he knows that the Invisible City will be Arabelle's destination. He will make sure that he will also be there when the blood moon shows up. Suddenly, a huge wave hits the boat that makes everyone on it scream in horror.
