Chapter 34 — April

I had it all wrong, I hated him. We were in the limo. He didn't even compliment me, instead he asked a silly question, if I wanted to go to the wedding. I put on this dress for nothing, panicked for the same. He didn’t want me to go to the wedding because he wanted a relationship. He just wanted a date. This could only mean the fake thing was back on.

The idea of spending a whole day with him just felt too much. I didn't even bring my damn phone with me, otherwise, the moment we got there, I'd make an excuse to go to the bathroom and dump his ass in the church.

Ha!

See how he liked being dumped in the church.

He did it to Kim, I could give him a taste of his own medicine. All of a sudden, the AC in the limo felt too much, I was cold and he had the light on full blast as if we were at the theatre on stage and I could hardly see with my pounding migraine. I just about made it into the limo and he wanted to put on the spotlight. Thank goodness, I put my damn glasses on. I couldn’t take them off. I was hungover, and the last thing I needed was to be in a well-lit limo.

This whole thing was a bad idea, he didn’t even offer me a drink, just talking nonsense. As if everything which happened yesterday, never occurred and he was ignoring why he came here in the first place.

No, I was a fool for thinking we would ride off into the sunset and he would see how beautiful I looked and want me to be part of his life forever. He didn’t see me as anything, but his fake, stupid girlfriend.

I'd ask Craig as soon as we get to the church to spin around and take me back to the apartment. I was going home back to Minnesota. I couldn't deal with this nonsense anymore. Luke was not capable of loving or being the man I thought he was. No love didn't exist for me and I was an idiot for thinking it did.
