Chapter 65

-Jianna-

I woke up feeling refreshed and at peace. I closed my eyes again and recalled last night. It was perfect in every sense of the word. The soft morning sunlight streamed through the curtains, casting a gentle glow upon the room. I stretched my limbs beneath the cozy covers and let out a contented sigh. Everything about last night felt like a dream, a beautiful tapestry woven with love and tenderness.

I replayed each moment in my mind, relishing how his fingertips traced delicate patterns on my skin. The soft lips that kissed every square inch of my body. The ecstasy I felt from every thrust, every moan, every orgasm. I was starting to get hot and bothered just reminiscing about it. I buried myself in the sheets, trying not to blush too much.

I lowered the sheets and realized that James wasn't beside me. I sat up and looked around for him.

"James?" I called out. I pulled back the sheets, picked up his shirt from the ground, and put it on. I headed to the bathroom, which was ajar, "James? Are you here?" No response. I wondered where he was.

Then I heard the door opened and closed. "James?" I called out.

"J?" James responded.

"In the bathroom," I said.

He walked inside the bathroom. He stopped at the door, looked at me up and down, smiled, and sighed deeply. "God, you are magnificent," he said, leaning by the doorway.

I smirked at him and pretended to get offended. "Excuse me, sir. I just met you!" I giggled.

James pushed himself from the doorway, "That may be m'lady, but I do believe you are wearing my shirt." he sneered.

He walked closer, tugged on the hem of my shirt, and pulled me towards him.

"And I really like that shirt," he whispered.

The warmth of his breath caused me to shiver in response. He leaned in closer, his lips brushing against the sensitive skin on my neck. I closed my eyes and let out a soft gasp, feeling the familiar desire building within me.

"As much as I would like to continue this, we have bigger problems." he kissed my neck and looked at me.

I stepped back and looked at him, "Problem?"

James straightened his body and looked at me. "I'll explain later, but right now, there are three men outside, and they're waiting for me to give myself up to them." his expression darkened, "so I need you to get dressed and help me take care of them."

I immediately started feeling enraged. "James..." my voice trailed off, but James interrupted me before I could finish what I was about to say.

"It's the only way I could get you back, J." he sighed, "I didn't know what else to do. There is no way I can let you go now."

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. "Give me a minute," I asked.

"J... Jianna. Please. I'll explain everything." James pleaded.

"James, can you just please? Please just give me a minute." I turned around so he couldn't see my face. I knew that the moment I saw his face, I would follow him to the ends of the earth. No questions asked.

I heard him exhale and leave the bathroom.

I turned back around and looked at myself in the mirror. I don't even recognize myself anymore. As much as I tried to leave this life behind, it always seemed to find me. There had been so much bloodshed in my life, and I was drowning.

I gathered my thoughts and knew I couldn't let James face these men alone. As much as I wanted to, I couldn't just stand there and let James face this alone. I took a deep breath, looking to gather my courage, and quickly dressed.

I exited the bathroom, and James was already standing near the door. He looked at me, then his eyes traveled from my head to my feet.

"What?" I asked.

"I forgot how fucking sexy you look in all black." he grinned.

I glared at him and pretended to be offended.

"Oh, come on. Have you seen yourself in those outfits? A work of fucking art." He chuckled.

I laughed. And then glared at him and looked at the door. "Come on, James. Stop playing. We have to end this."

James nodded and turned back to the door. I bent forward and touched my ankle. I needed to stretch. It's been a while.

I looked at James, and he was staring again, but he shook it off this time.

"Ready?" James asked.

"Ready," I answered.

Then James placed his hand at the door knob and turned.
