98. The Heartbreak!

"She isn't waking up, she was unconscious the whole flight!"

Alex informed bothered.

Massimo was sitting beside her worriedly. His heart was filled with fear.

"Chang, what happened to her?"

"Her blood pressure has dropped..."

Chang informed.

"This is not a good sign"

Massimo carefully noticed her. She was breathing heavily and was sweaty.

"Is she having a panic attack?"

"What?"

Alex and Dominick quickly sat beside her.

"But what happened now?"

Dominick asked concerned.

"She was fine when she left for London..."

Dominick patted her cheek to wake her up.

"Maa!"

Alex called her sadly.

Anamika was dealing with her own panic attack, she jolted up with horror and Massimo quickly held her in his arms.

"It's okay! You are safe."

He rubbed her back with soothing words.

"Open your eyes and look at me, my love!"

Anamika was in panic mode, his soothing words didn't work this time.

"Brother Chang?"

She looked around to find him.

"Anna, please calm down!"

Chang tried to calm her down, scared that everyone is here and she might spill her own secret.

Her head snapped towards him.

"You said she died... Saroj is alive!"

She grabbed his collar in panic and anger.

"Why did you lie?"

"Trust me! I thought she died in the fire along with scorpions..."

Chang closed his eyes as tears escaped.

"No!"

She growled at him frustrated.

"You are lying... You lied!"

She knows that there is no way that Chang could misinterpret her death. It was intentional.

"Anamika, calm down... He is your brother!"

Massimo removed her angry hold from Chang, not understanding why she is so angry.

"He lied to me, Massimo... Saroj is alive and she was taken by Leonardo Delgado..."

She cried.

"That girl suffered hell for the rest of her life... How's this fair to her..."

She glared at Chang.

"If you could have just told me that she is alive then I would have saved her!"

"How?"

Chang yelled back and she looked at him shocked.

"How were you going to save her when you were building yourself?... She was taken by that psycho Delgado and if he would have found out that you are alive then he would have dragged you to his bed..."

"Chang!"

Massimo growled at him.

"I am speaking the truth... Leonardo was equally obsessed with Anamika's youth and beauty but he was quiet because of scorpions!"

Chang said frustrated.

"He knew that if he dared to look at her then scorpions would kill him... Imagine him finding out that Anamika is alive and Scorpions are dead, I had to sacrifice Saroj to protect her. And not like she could have saved her, instead she would have thrown herself in hell again."

Anamika grabbed her head in disbelief.

"It means Damon___"

Her eyes widened in horror.

"That monstrous blood is still in existence!?"

"Damon what?"

Dominick frowned.

"Damon what, uncle Chang?"

He growled at him madly, Alex and Dominick both hate Damon for messing with their sister and not to mention how Rafael has fucked up everything.

Chang froze when he saw his anger.

"Why is Damon involved in this?"

Alex gritted while looking at Chang.

"Damon is Anamika's son!"

Chang declared and everyone looked at him stunned.

"That's one of the reasons why I never disclosed that Saroj is alive"

Massimo felt ground beneath his feet slipping away with that declaration.

Meanwhile Damon was waiting impatiently at the hospital.

Mira placed an assuring hand on his shoulder.

"She will be fine, don't worry!"

She could see that the revelation had shaken him and he was still in shock.

The doctor came out and he looked at him worriedly.

"She shouldn't have run like that... She is really weak and we were trying to at least keep her breathing till now but she has become too weak, Mr. Delgado... I am sorry but I can't promise that she will be breathing till morning..."

Damon closed his eyes as tears escaped his eyes.

"She wants to meet you"

Mira gently grabbed his hand and led him inside because he looked too disturbed. Saroj was on oxygen now, struggling to talk but she extended her hand for Damon to hold.

Damon quickly grabbed her hand and kissed it while sitting beside her.

"Take a rest!"

He requested.

She shook her head as silent tears escaped her eyes.

"I am still your mother, Damon... I have birthed you. Please, don't hate me."

She pleaded.

He nodded while wiping her tears.

"You will always be my mother... I can never hate you..."

"I am sorry, I didn't tell you this because I thought Anamika died in that fire. That's what Leonardo told me..."

She informed with guilt.

"But now I have to tell you everything because she is alive... She must be unaware of my existence or else she would have come to look for me... Do you know her? Your mother is an amazing woman, Damon... She will be really proud of you if she finds out that her son is alive... She will give you all the love which I couldn't give you... When you look at her, you will realise that you are an exact replica of her. You face, your beauty, your mole and your heart, everything is inherited from her."

Damon's eyes couldn't stop tears, realising that she doesn't know the reality. Anamika is his enemy's mother and he has done things to hurt her, he kidnapped her daughter and his own sister unknowingly. She will not look at him as her son but the enemy's brother.

"How can she be my mother if you birthed me?"

"I was also held captive by Scorpions, in fact many girls from the borders of West Bengal and Bangladesh were sold to Scorpions because they were involved in weapons and drug smuggling to India... Scorpions were crazy monsters and tortured all girls for their sick desires until Anamika entered that hell... The girl who was the epitome of beauty and could fetch the soul of the devil also with her innocent aura... Scorpions were fascinated by her beauty and grew dangerously obsessed with her, but all girls were relieved because Anamika had attracted all the danger and other girls including me were less tortured... We became friends there and I used to feel really bad for her but Anamika was strong. She had played some mind games with Scorpions to manipulate the situation in her favour sometimes... I really admired her courage but she used to end up in the hospital many times because of that... She is called Doom of Scorpions because they were so focused on her that they forgot about everything else around them, call it a business or enemies... There was one enemy of theirs, I don't recall his name."

"Massimo Marino!"

Damon mumbled with a bitter smile, knowing he has killed the Scorpions.

"Yes, he killed Scorpions because they hurt his sister... But before he could hurt them they planned you!"

She informed and Mira frowned.

"They wanted a son from Anamika. Who will be beautiful like her and monstrous like them. You were supposed to rule their dark world... But they couldn't impregnate Anamika. There was one Doctor with them, Chang. He informed Scorpions that if they impregnate Anamika then there are chances that she might die while birthing you because her body was too weak after their torture and she had heart problems too. Her heart is also on the right side."

Mira's eyes widened shocked when she disclosed that and Damon closed his eyes in pain. He always wondered why, now he knows it.

"Scorpions weren't ready to kill Anamika for anything so decided to do the surrogacy... Among all the girls, I turned out to be fit to carry their child but I was already purchased by Leonardo from Scorpions... At that time Leonardo was not powerful enough to fight against Scorpions so he had to keep me with them until I birth you... Anamika used to apologise to me day and night for what I had to go through because of her. We used to pray that one day we will escape that hell but then she found out that she was sold by her own family and that broke her courage... The first time she tried to kill herself and when she was hospitalized, Marinos killed Scorpions... Everything was burnt down but Leonardo had got me out before that. That sick bastard tried to find Anamika too because he always had wicked intentions about her but I don't know why he believed that she died in the same fire... I tried to save us from him by trying to escape but I was pregnant... Leonardo blackmailed me with your life, he said he will kill you if I ever try to escape from him so I stopped so you can be safe... But Leonardo never wanted you to come out as Scorpions son so we had to hide your real age and identity... You are around the same age as Laurence but you have the soft look of Anamika which shows you are younger than your real age, it was a blessing... You are older than Rafael and Mikhail, they always used to ask me why Damon is so mature when he is younger than them, now you can tell them the answer."

Damon's silent tears broke her heart.

"Find her, she will give you all the love which I couldn't... She will believe you because she is aware of your existence... Make her believe that you are her son and you don't even have an ounce from those monsters... You are only Anamika's son and not a Scorpion..."

He just stayed silent.

"Take rest, you need it!"

He caressed her head.

She smiled.

"Now I can rest in peace..."

She closed her eyes.

Damon got up as angry tears escaped his eyes.

"Damon?"

Mira got up when he started walking out.

He cupped her face.

"I need some alone time, Wife... Please!"

She looked at him sadly as he walked out of the ward.

Damon came out in the open and screamed in agony on top of his lungs, letting out all the pain which his heart was holding while listening to Saroj.

He fell on his knees while bursting out in tears. He felt the sharp pain in his chest as he thought about Anamika.

Mira came rushing towards him and knelt down beside him while holding him close to her chest. Damon hugged her as he couldn't handle the pain.

"Why is every woman whom I supposed to protect was destroyed?"

He was defeated by his own destiny.

"This is not your fault!"

Mira gulped down her tears as she consoled him.

"You have two mothers and both are strong... You should be happy that you didn't fail them by turning into a monster..."

"I can never tell her that I am her son"

He looked at her sadly.

"She will never know that she has four kids..."

"Why not?"

Mira frowned.

"You deserve her love... Whatever happened is not your fault!"

"What about her happiness? She has her own happy family and I can't destroy her peace by selfishly going in front of her to ask for her attention... Her husband and sons will never accept it, she might lose respect because of my existence... I will destroy her happy family."

He wiped his tears.

"I can only protect her from the shadows... She doesn't need to know that I am her son... I can't see her in pain because of me."

"I understand, Damon!"

Mira assured while caressing him.

"It's okay!"

"If Maa asks you then tell her that I talked to Anamika and she is happy."

He requested.

Mira's tears escaped as she couldn't gather the courage to tell him.

"Maa will never ask it now."

Damon froze when he realised the meaning behind her words.
