The doctor walks in seeing the angry red scratches running down my chest. The dry blood covering me. “alpha what happened?” he says coming close looking at my chest. “that is a good question it seems I did this to myself in my sleep.” pointing at my chest. “may I sir?” he points to my chest I nod. “may I ask what you were dreaming about?” “all I can remember is red doc it's annoying really.” I huff out still trying to remember what I was dreaming about. “red and pain that's all I can remember even my wolf doesn't know.” “Maybe it's from the stress of you becoming alpha tonight just a bit of nervous that manifested in a nightmare.” having no better answer that is what we settled on.
Heading back to my room to shower and get ready for today. Stepping in the shower I start washing when shining blue eyes fill my mind. These eyes promise all sorts of fun things. They relax me as I finish my shower. Walking out of the bathroom in just a towel I smell her before I see her. “out now” this bitch has some nerve. “but Will I came to help you relax a little. Come on baby let me take care of you.” I have had enough of her. Linking for a guard to come to my room. Soon Jillian is coming through my door “alpha” “take that out of my room and make sure she gets the message this time to stay out of my room” looking over at Hannah “if I catch you in here again one week in a cell and then banishment do you understand?” she just nods as shes pulled from my room.
Getting dressed and headed to my father's office for the last-minute talk. He is also sighing everything over to me so things need to be signed I’s dotted T's crossed and all that. Our pack runs a few businesses off the pack lands that help us financially. The black rose pack is one of the strongest packs around. And not just cause we can buy any and everything. We pride ourselves in the strength of our warriors. We train daily to make sure we stay on top.
We are the pack everyone calls when they need help and I plan to keep that going. I know there are a few things father is keeping from me until he passes the pack to me but soon I will know what that is. “well son are you ready because it's time.” then father asks as he stands from behind the desk. Taking the picture of us from the desk, looking over at the picture I remember when it was taken.
I had just returned home from school. Mother threw her arms around me hugging me tight, as fathers had landed on my shoulder a huge proud smile stretched across his face. He had just gotten word that again the black rose pack had top marks. The beta took a picture of the moment. It has been set on his desk for the last year. “so pops where are you and mom heading first?” mother and father had wanted to travel when they were younger but sadly grandfather was taken too soon leaving the father in charge of the pack. No one knows what happened. He had gone to help a pack who was having a problem with a neighboring pack. He never returned. So now they plan to have all the adventures they missed out on.
“where ever your mother says” he laughs out. The only person that orders him around is a tiny she-wolf I call mother. I can't wait to find my other half. I hope she's at least half the wolf mother is. Smiling to myself as we make our way to the backyard. We always hold things like this outside under the light of a full moon. Having the goddess bless us with her light. And tonight the moonlight is shining so bright. Meeting Johnathan at the base of the stage we head up the stairs to take our seats. Both our families have so much pride spilling from then for us. This has both our wolves puffing their chest out. The ceremony doesn't take long and the balance of power is shifted to us. First, it feels like so much weight is pressing down on me as I take in the power of the alpha. Filling every cell in my body makes me bigger stronger faster. Soon it levels out and the bonds to the pack are solid almost like I can see them. Looking over I see Johnathan, wade, and Kyle we are the future of the pack. We shift into our wolves starting with me the alpha next john the beta, wade the gamma, and finally Kyle the delta. We howl to the moon.
The pack all shifts and joins us. We take off heading to the treeline. The first run with the pack as an alpha solidifies the bonds. Making it to the lake in good time we all stop for a drink before heading back to the packhouse where a huge meal is waiting for us. My mouth waters at the thought and I shoot back through the woods heading for the food. As I’m running red eyes flash in my mind causing me to stumble and crash face-first into the forest floor. Slowly standing up shaking the dirt and debris off me I search the area for the source of the red eyes. Turning in circles I had to look like I lost my mind. The more I look the less I can remember what they look like. Now all I can remember is they are red. Stress that's what it has to be but I don’t feel stressed. If It didn’t make me sound crazy I would ask father and mother about it, but even I think it sounds crazy.
