CHAPTER 88

CHAPTER 88
Leo's POV

"Koba, don’t try to pretend to be strong in front of me. You know I won’t judge you. And we need to leave from here right away. There are no other guests staying here other than you. And now there is that strange man in your room. We need to go to Sol soon," I said.

And as those words left my mouth, suddenly Koba covered me with his jacket. Then he grabbed my hand and ran outside, taking me along with him. While leaving from there, I closed the entrance to the inn.

So that strange man is confined inside. Even if he comes out of the room, he doesn’t have any place to leave from here other than jumping down from the balconies.

Me and Koba were running together, and when we came into the bar, I let go of his hand right away and even took off his jacket.

“Here, your jacket. Thank you for giving it to me,” I said, showing that I was grateful. And I was.

I was all wet even though the jacket was over me because it was raining so heavily. And just then Sol came to me. “Leo, are you okay? Did you not take the umbrella? How did you get wet?” she asked.

When she asked that, I remembered that when I went to Koba to give him the torch, I had put the umbrella beside the door. And while talking with him, I forgot about it, and we ran away from there.

Now I was feeling kind of guilty for forgetting that beautiful umbrella. If I had remembered, I wouldn’t have gotten wet. We both had come here under the umbrella. But what can we do now? We are already wet and all.

“Leave this aside and listen to me, Sol,” I said, glancing around and realizing that customers were there, and their attention was on us. “Sol, let’s go inside to talk.”

I took Sol inside, and Koba followed us as well.

“Sol, there is something inside Koba’s room, like under his bed! We locked the door before that person could come out, and I even locked the inn’s main door too,” I told her everything.

As she heard me, she was shocked, of course she would be. Because by any chance, if I had gone there and that guest wasn’t Koba but someone else, then what could have happened… we can’t even imagine.

She looked at Koba right away. “Are you okay? You are not hurt by any chance, right? I will inform the police right away,” she said. She seemed panicked.

Of course, this was something very serious. If this gets out, rumors will start to spread that we don’t have safety in our inn at all, which is not good.

“I am fine. Leo was there to help me, so it’s nothing. Don’t worry,” Koba replied to Sol.

Sol took out her mobile from her pocket. And that’s when Andrew stepped inside the room. And he came in such a hurry that it startled me.

“Guys, did you see the news? What is happening right now?” Andrew asked.

I glanced at Koba, and by his expression I could tell that he didn’t know anything about the news either, just like me. There was a tab in Andrew’s hand, and a news video was paused on the screen.

From the atmosphere alone, Andrew realized that something was wrong. His eyes darted around. “What happened? What did you guys talk about that your faces look like this?” Andrew asked.

Hearing him, I turned toward him and told him everything that had happened. He was so shocked that he covered his mouth while glancing at Koba. “It’s good that you didn’t get hurt,” Andrew said.

Then he remembered something and handed me his tab to show me. As soon as I took the tab and resumed the video, it was a live news broadcast.

\[News: Due to heavy rainfall, all ways out from Urui town have been closed. It is said that the Urui sea’s water is increasing as soon as it started to rain. And as you can see down there, we are in the middle of the air now, and below us is Urui town.

As you can see, the waves are larger and more terrifying than before. We are not sure what could happen, but we have heard that these are signs of a tsunami.

Moon Pack is the biggest pack among all, but no one imagined something like this would happen. It is said that the alpha of the pack, Enzo, has warned everyone in the town to save themselves and rescue others before anything happens.\]

As soon as the news stopped, I was shocked. I couldn’t even say anything. I just froze there for a moment, unable to speak.

“Is this real? A tsunami? In this village? I can’t believe this,” I mumbled under my breath. Then I felt a touch on my shoulder, which made me glance back and see Koba’s hand resting there.

“Don’t worry, Leo. The news anchor might just be bluffing since there’s no confirmation from the weather forecast. So we can’t be sure and start panicking.”

What Koba said was logical. Hearing him, I started to calm down. He was right, we couldn’t just panic because of one news report. But what if it’s true? We can’t just sit around here either.

As I was thinking, suddenly the murmuring of many people reached my ears, snapping me out of my thoughts.

“What is happening outside?” I mumbled and turned toward the door. I handed the tablet back to Andrew. He was standing near Sol, talking about something, while Sol was on a call with someone.

I rushed out of the room, and Koba followed right behind me.

When I stepped outside, I saw that all the customers who were drinking there were panicking. They looked extremely frightened because all of them had seen the news by now it was sure.
