Evelyn sat in her car, staring blankly at the sea of cars in front of her. The traffic was at a standstill, and she knew that she was going to be late for work. Her mind raced with thoughts of what Alex would do to her if she was late again. She had already been warned several times about her tardiness, and she knew that she was on thin ice.

As she sat in her car, she looked down at her wedding ring and felt a pang of sadness in her heart. She had taken it off before leaving the house, not wanting to raise any false alarms at work. She knew that if Alex found out about her recent marriage to Lucas, it would only add to her troubles.

She took a deep breath and tried to focus on the present. She knew that she had to get to the office as soon as possible if she wanted to avoid getting into trouble with Alex.

Finally, the traffic began to clear up, and she was able to make her way to the office. She parked her car and took a deep breath before getting out. She made sure to leave her wedding ring in the car, not wanting to attract any unwanted attention.

As she walked into the office building, she felt a sense of dread wash over her. She knew that she was already on thin ice with Alex, and she didn't want to make things worse.

She walked through the lobby, trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. She made her way to the elevators and pressed the button, hoping that they would arrive quickly.

As she waited, she couldn't help but think about her recent marriage to Lucas. She knew that it was a mistake, but it was one that she had to live with. She had always loved him, but she had never thought that they would end up together. And now that they were married, she didn't know how to make things work.

The elevator doors finally opened, and she stepped inside. She pressed the button for her floor and leaned against the wall, feeling exhausted and defeated.

As she stepped off the elevator, she saw Alex standing in front of her office, looking at his watch impatiently. She knew that she was in trouble.

"Good morning, Alex," she said, burning in fear.

"Good morning, Evelyn," he replied, his tone cold and clipped. "Do you have any idea what time it is?"

Evelyn felt her heart sink. She knew what was coming for her. Her eyelids were beginning to get wet.

"I'm sorry. There was traffic," she said, hoping to explain her tardiness.

"That's not good enough, Evelyn," he said, his voice rising. "This is the fourth time this month that you've been late." He erased the distance between them until there was only an inch of space in-between them.

He leaned to the left side of her ear sending waves of shivers down ber spine, "You know how much I despise lateness, Piccola"

His tune harsh and husky.

Evelyn felt tears welling up in her eyes. She knew that she had messed up, and she didn't know how to make things right.

"I understand, Sir. I'll make sure it doesn't happen again," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.

He kissed her earlobe clutching on her waist.

A yelp escaped from her lips, a tear slipping down as she quivered in terror.

He ran kisses around her neckline causing every inch of her heart to break into pieces, this wasn't right, not at all.

He kissed deeper on a specific place making sure to leave a hickey.

"Ahh" She moan.

He smirked in satisfaction before pulling back. He stared at her for a second, "Open your eyes"

She didn't have to be told twice.

He smiled, a sinister one, "You belong to me Piccola" He leaned in for a quick kiss yet again.

She let him have his way after all it wasn't a choice she had. Alex is in control of her, she knew better than to ever go against his demands.

As she walked to her desk, she felt the weight of the world on her shoulders. She knew that she had a lot of work to do if she wanted to keep her alignment away from Alex's trust. She also knew that she had to figure out how to make her marriage work, no matter how difficult it might be.

But with Alex and the risk of him finding out, it was something she didn't want to picture

Evelyn felt disheartened by the fact that she had cheated on Lucas, even though it wasn't her fault. She couldn't help but feel guilty for what had happened with Alex, and the fact that she had taken off her wedding ring only added to her guilt. She knew that she had a lot of work to do if she wanted to make things right with Lucas and keep her marriage intact. However, the weight of Alex's control over her was also weighing heavily on her mind, and she didn't know how to escape it.

She got home late from work, feeling exhausted and drained. She had spent the entire day trying to catch up on her work and avoid any more trouble with Alex. As she walked through the front door of her house, she was surprised to see Lucas sitting on the couch, waiting for her.

Her heart skipped.

"Hey, I thought you were at work," she stated.

His stare on her darked his expression dropping into a deep frown as he got up, approaching her.

Her heartbeat escalated as she chew on her lower lip.

"What's that?" he asked, pointing at the hickey.

Evelyn's heart sank as she realized what he was talking about. She knew that she couldn't lie to him, but she also knew that telling him the truth would only make things worse.

"It's nothing," she said, trying to brush it off.

"It's not nothing, Evelyn. It's a hickey," Lucas said, his voice growing louder with each word. "Who did that to you?"

Evelyn swallowed hard, feeling uneasy as she looked at Lucas's burning eyes. She sensed jealous and angry, but she couldn't fathom why?

"--Lucas" she struggled to form incoherent words.

His jawline harden causing her to take a step back to which he erased till he eventually pinned her to the wall.

"Evelyn" he called in a stern tune.

Tears packed at the brim of her eyes with her lips quivering in fear.

Lucas held Evelyn tightly, still hurt by the thought of her being unfaithful. He looked into her eyes and said, "I despise unfaithfulness." He paused.

She could sense that he was struggling to keep down his rage.

Evelyn felt a pang of guilt in her chest as she heard the pain in Lucas's voice.

But why?

"I'm sorry," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

Lucas pulled back slightly, looking at her with a mix of frustration and sadness. "Evelyn, even though our marriage was an inconvenience, you had no right to cheat on me. As long as you're with me, you need to be faithful. I can't tolerate anything less."

Evelyn felt tears welling up in her eyes as she heard Lucas's words. She knew that he was right, and she didn't know how to make things right. She took a deep breath and said, "I know, Lucas. I'm sorry. It won't happen again."

"It better not"
