I sat in my plush leather chair, staring out the window as I spoke with my personal assistant over the phone. "Yes, I need you to make sure that the catering for tonight's party is absolutely perfect. I don't want any slip-ups," I instructed sternly.

I leaned back in my chair and took a sip of my coffee, the aroma of freshly brewed java filling my nostrils. "Also, make sure that the flowers are arranged properly and the lighting is just right. It's going to be a big night and I want everything to be perfect," I added.

As I finished up the call, I turned my head and caught sight of Evelyn getting off the bed, wearing nothing but my shirt. I couldn't help but stare at her, finding her appearance hot and ravishing.

"Good morning, Lucas," she said groggily, rubbing her eyes as she made her way over to me. I noticed that her eyes were still swollen from the crying she did yesterday.

"Good morning, Evelyn," I replied with a smile, my eyes still fixed on her. "You look beautiful, even with swollen eyes," I added playfully.

A smile crept onto her lips as we exchanged pleasantries. I got up from my chair and made my way over to her, wrapping my arms around her waist.

"I have a busy day ahead, but I'll try to finish up early so we can spend some time together," I said softly, planting a kiss on her forehead.

Evelyn looked up at me and replied, "I understand. You have a lot on your plate, but don't forget to take a break every once in a while."

I nodded before turning to leave the room, feeling grateful for having such a supportive partner. I knew that I had a lot of work to do, but having Evelyn by my side made everything seem a little bit easier.

I had been thinking about it through the night, how I could renew my relationship with Evelyn and start over. I wanted to surprise her with a special date, something that would make her feel like the most important woman in the world. After making a call earlier to the hotel's restaurant, I had everything planned out.

As I walked out of the hotel building, I felt excited and nervous. I knew that this date had to be perfect, that it could be the start of something new for us. I quickly made my way to the car and ordered the chauffeur to take me to a fashion designer shop.

I knew that Evelyn loved fashion and I wanted to get her something special for our date. As we arrived at the shop, I walked in with a sense of purpose. I scanned the racks of dresses, looking for the perfect one.

Then, I saw it. A beautiful emerald dress that matched her hazel eyes perfectly. I picked it up and examined it closely. The fabric was soft and flowing, the color vibrant and eye-catching.

I knew that this was the one. I walked over to the counter and asked the sales assistant to wrap it up for me. As I left the shop, I felt a sense of satisfaction. I had found the perfect dress for her, and I knew that she would love it.

Overall, I was excited for the night ahead and couldn't wait to surprise her with my thoughtfulness.

As I got back into the car, I couldn't help but feel a sense of nervous excitement. This was the first time I was planning something like this for Evelyn and I really wanted everything to go smoothly. I had picked out the perfect dress for her, but there was still so much left to do.

I asked the chauffeur to take me to the florist. I wanted to get her favorite flowers, white lilies, to complement her dress. When we arrived at the florist, I carefully chose a bouquet of white lilies and had them wrapped up with a note that read 'For the most beautiful woman in the world.'

As we drove to our date location, I went over the plan in my head. I had made a reservation at a beautiful restaurant with a view of the city. I had also arranged for a private table with candlelight and soft music playing in the background.

When we finally arrived at the restaurant, the maître d' greeted us warmly and led us to our table. I could see the surprise and happiness in Evelyn's eyes as she took in the beautiful setting.

As we enjoyed our delicious meal, I could feel the connection between us growing stronger. We talked and laughed for hours, enjoying each other's company and the beautiful view.

As we sat down at the candlelit table, I couldn't help but stare at Evelyn. She looked stunning in the emerald dress I had picked out for her, and I felt a warmth in my chest that I had never felt with anyone else.

We ordered our food and began to eat, but my mind kept wandering back to her. I found myself stealing glances at her every now and then, admiring her beauty and grace.

I knew that I had to say something. I had to tell her how I felt, how much I wanted this to be a new beginning for us. I paused for a moment, gathering my thoughts, and then began to speak.

"Evelyn, I just want you to know that I really care about you. I know that things haven't been easy between us, but I want to start over. I want us to take things slow and really get to know each other again."

I could see the surprise in her eyes, but there was also a hint of happiness there. I knew that I was saying the right things.

"I know that I haven't always been the best partner, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make things work between us. Evelyn Jones, will you be my girl?"

There was a moment of silence as she looked into my eyes, and then a smile slowly spread across her face. "Yes, Lucas. I would love to be your girl."

I felt a sense of relief wash over me as we both smiled at each other. This was the start of something new, something beautiful, and I couldn't wait to see where it would take us.

As soon as Evelyn said yes, I felt a rush of emotions. I couldn't believe that she had agreed to start over with me. I reached across the table and took her hand in mine.

"Thank you, Evelyn. I promise I won't let you down this time." I said, looking deep into her eyes.

"I know you won't, Lucas," she replied, smiling sweetly at me.

We both leaned in at the same time, and our lips met in a soft, sweet kiss. It was as if time stopped for a moment, and all that mattered was the two of us.

As we pulled away, I felt a sense of renewed hope for our relationship. I knew that it wouldn't be easy, but I was willing to do whatever it takes to make it work.

I've been dying to get a taste of those lips.

We spent the rest of the evening talking and laughing, enjoying each other's company and the beautiful view. I felt as if a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, and I knew that I had made the right decision.

As we walked out of the restaurant, hand in hand, I felt a sense of excitement for the future. This was a new beginning for us, and I couldn't wait to see where it would take us.

As we got back into the car, I couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment. The night had gone better than I had imagined, and I was eager to spend more time with Evelyn.

The ride to the hotel was filled with a comfortable silence. I could tell that Evelyn was tired from the night's events, and she soon fell asleep. I watched her as she slept, marveling at her beauty and grace.

When we arrived at the hotel, I gently woke Evelyn up and picked her up in a bridal style. She stirred a bit, but then snuggled more into me, wrapping her arms around my neck.

I smiled at her and carried her up to our room. As I walked, I couldn't help but feel a sense of protectiveness over her. I knew that I wanted to take care of her and make her feel loved.

When we got to our floor, I carried Evelyn to our room and gently placed her on the bed. She looked up at me with sleepy eyes, and I could see the trust and affection in them.

I smiled at her and tucked her in, making sure she was comfortable. As I turned to leave, she reached out and grabbed my hand.

"Stay with me," she whispered, her voice soft and sweet.

I couldn't resist her, and so I climbed into bed beside her, holding her close. We snuggled together, enjoying each other's warmth and closeness.

As I lay there with her, I knew that this was the start of something special. I was grateful for the chance to start over with her, and I knew that I would do whatever it takes to make it work.

As we lay there together, I couldn't help but feel a sense of peace wash over me. For the first time in a long time, I felt truly happy. I knew that there were still challenges ahead, but I was willing to face them with Evelyn by my side.

We talked for a while, sharing our hopes and dreams for the future. It was as if we were getting to know each other all over again, and I loved every moment of it.

As we talked, I could feel the connection between us growing stronger. There was a sense of trust and understanding between us that I had never felt with anyone else.

Finally, exhaustion took over and we both fell asleep in each other's arms. It was the most peaceful sleep I had had in a long time, and I knew that I had made the right decision in asking Evelyn to start over with me.

The next morning, I woke up to find Evelyn already awake and looking at me with a smile on her face. It was as if she had been waiting for me to wake up.

"Good morning, Lucas," she said, her voice soft and sweet.

"Good morning, Evelyn," I replied, smiling back at her.

We spent the rest of the day exploring the city and enjoying each other's company. It was as if we were two teenagers in love, and I felt a sense of joy that I had never experienced before.

As the day came to an end, we returned to our hotel room, tired but happy. We both knew that there were still challenges ahead, but we were willing to face them together.

"Hello, Lucas speaking."

"Mr Moore, this is your secretary, Jane. I'm calling to remind you about your meeting with the Chinese company tomorrow morning."

"Oh, thanks for reminding me. What time is the meeting?"

"It's at 9 am sharp, Sir. So you should be there by 8:50 am at the latest."

"Got it. Thanks, Jane. Oh, and speaking of tomorrow, please get the jet ready for me and Evelyn. We'll be flying out tomorrow evening."

"Sure thing, Sir. Where are you headed?"

"We're going to Beijing for some business meetings."

"Alright, do you have any specific requirements for the jet?"

"Yes, please make it extra long and comfortable. We'll be discussing some important matters on the flight, so we need to be as comfortable as possible."

"Understood, Sir. I'll make sure everything is arranged. Is there anything else you need?"

"No, that's all for now. Thanks for your help, Jane. I'll see you tomorrow."

"Great, see you then, Lucas. Have a good day!"

I cut the call stealing a glance at Evelyn that is engrossed with the movie she's watching.

A smile crept on his lips as I walk to her.
