Chapter 29. Reciprocal reinforcement

reciprocal reinforcement in Chapter 29.

"Do you want to explain everything first, or should I ask?"

The chamber had a courtroom-like atmosphere. Rayen sat down in front of his wife and gave her a serious look. He awaited Sarag's words to begin.

With anxiety, Sarah slowly raised her gaze to Rayen. Even he was unsure about where to begin while discussing his background.

Rayen began speaking again, still waiting for Sarah with patience. "Sar, I am aware that you could find this difficult. Everybody has a history. I concur as well. However, did not we just decide to be honest with one another?"

After briefly closing his eyes, Rayen resumed his speech, saying, "I already know about that man's grave and who that man is." I am fully informed. However, Sar, I would prefer to hear it straight from your lips." Rayen is hoping Sarah would tell him about her history.

It is sufficient that their relationship appears to be restricted. In an attempt to encourage Sarah to be honest with him, Rayen is now easing those restrictions. "Sis, I am afraid." Once more, Sarah dropped her face. There was just too much Sarah could not say to Rayen.

Rayen frowned too, his expression perplexed. "What is causing your fear?"

"I worry that Sis Rayen's opinion of me will shift. I worry that Sis Rayen will look foolish because her wife has up to now required care from a psychiatrist. I do not want it to happen since you will be embarrassed if people find out. I am not crazy at all... I simply do not understand why, Sis." Sarah pressed her hand firmly against her skirt. Not even Sarah dared to glance at Rayen's face. The girl thought it was wrong for her to be standing next to Rayen, who appeared flawless.

Sarah's scared expression was noticed by Rayen. Sarah displayed extreme terror once more. Despite his well-meaning intentions, Rayen was only interested in learning about Sarah's life experiences.

Nevertheless, it appears that his method was flawed. Rayen gave his wife as fast a hug as he could to console her. Sarah's pale face is beginning to fade, and her body is beginning to stop shivering.

Rayen gave Sarah a quick kiss on the top of her head and muttered something. "I apologize if I frightened you. I was simply curious to know if a husband and wife should be honest with one another. Is it not what you are after? Rayen released his embrace, gripped Sarah's fingers firmly, and gave her a serene glance. The girl looked up, then fixed a blank stare on Rayen.

Oh no! Rayen kept seeing that dejected expression. Unbelievably, Rayen was unable to look at someone with that kind of expression. Rayen was reminded by Sarah's look of the person who was the reason he married Sarah.

Never again think that way. It has never made me feel bad to have a wife like you. And I could care less about what people think of you. Since I am the only one who understands your personality," Rayen replied in a hushed tone.

Therefore, kindly stop keeping it to yourself. Sar, share it with me." Sarah's heart began to soften under Rayen's stare.

Rayen came to understand that his wife still had feelings for Carlos as the girl gradually revealed more to him. The man now saw that, in reality, his experiences and Sarah's experiences were not all that unlike. Both of them had wounds. But in a distinct manner.

"I apologize. I have no knowledge of your past. As I have stated. I will do my best to be a decent husband to you. My history with you has been difficult. I promise to be more approachable from now on. I apologize for taking so long. I still have a lot of stuff I am keeping from you. Sincerely, I am not ready to welcome you into my life just yet."

Yes. I was aware from the beginning. I never did inquire as to why you married me in the first place. I am aware of how many secrets you maintain. I also made the decision not to inquire. I was worried that if you found out, I could be let down and say, "I understand my limitations as a newcomer to your life. I am just following everything and going as far as I can because of that."

Rayen began to wonder if this was all really God's will. Is it necessary for him and Sarah to cure one another?

In regards to his resentment towards Zack and the truth that Rayen and his grandfather have been withholding, Rayen is unsure of whether things will go as planned or whether he would change and begin to show Sarah his true feelings.

Recalling Sarah's experience is no little matter. Rayen is still compassionate, for sure. Rayen and Sarah's hearts are still stuck in the past, which is where they are right now. All they can do now is wait and see where fate leads them both.

One thing is important for you to know. Come with me, please. Rayen sprang up, snatching Sarah's finger and pulling her along.

"Bro, where are we going?" Rayen led Sarah to the pavilion just behind their home, where she inquired about who was now beginning to market.

"You told me about your past. Let me now share mine with you as well."

Sarah was shocked to hear Rayen's account. It was unexpected for the girl that Rayen would be so frank with her. His emotions warmed almost instantly. Sarah grinned to herself.

When you enter a reasonably spacious room. There, it appears to be a room with some furniture remaining in it. Sarah was unaware of whose room it was. due to the room's impeccable appearance. There was hardly a trace of dust in the air.

Sarah's eyes darted around the room. Right up till his eyes landed on one of the medley-sized picture frames on exhibit. Sarah took a closer look at the picture.

Sarah was given full view of the room by Rayen. A picture of a woman in a pink outfit caught Sarah's eye. Looks adorable and lovely. When he grinned, his dimples showed through his skin, which was as white as Rayen's.

Sarah turned her head to glance back. "Who is this brother?" Sarah enquired with curiosity.

Rayen stood by the window and said nothing, not responding right away. The man's gaze strayed far into his past, his eyes misted.

Sarah made another attempt at asking in a gentle manner. "Rayen, my brother. Are you alright?"

As soon as Rayen realized what was going on, the man approached Sarah. Look at the picture for a while, your eyes sad. With a slight smile, Rayen continued, "She is the woman I love," in a barely audible whisper.

Sarah became silent upon hearing this and observed Rayen's expression shift to one of tears. Sarah saw the intense despair that engulfed her husband Rayen.

Is he the person you love? Sarah gently reposed her question.

Once more, Rayen shook his head. "No."
