Chapter 26

Andrea immediately transferred the money for the test to Dylan and went inside while Dylan went to the hospital.

She was really anxious to see the test results and she paced the sitting room restlessly even though the result won't be out until about two to three days later.

"Dylan!" she exclaimed as the door creaked open but was disappointed to see Julia instead.

"What is this? Are you saying Dylan is the one you want to see and not me?" Julia scoffed.

"Yes so you can go back" Andrea rolled her eyes.

"You are really mean. Anyway, why do you want to see Dylan?" Julia asked and sat down.

"Julia, are you sure that Roy is the father of the triplets?" Andrea asked as she sat next to Julia.

"Why are you suddenly asking me that? Do you want to make me feel worse by bringing him up?" Julia asked.

"No, it's not that. I'm sorry if I'm making you bad but I need to confirm something" Andrea said.

"I told you he was the one that got intimate with me before I became pregnant" Julia said.

"What about Dylan? Didn't you have sex with him on that day or a day before?" Andrea asked.

"Am I supposed to remember that?" Julia rolled her eyes.

"Of course. Think hard and tell me if you had sex with him or not" Andrea said with her best puppy face.

"I don't know what this is about but you are really stressing me. I will try to think for just a minute" Julia said and closed her eyes.

"Dylan and I had sex a day before but it was in the afternoon. He didn't come home that night" Julia said and opened her eyes.

"That's it! I knew things would turn out well" Andrea squealed.

"You are making me more confused. If you won't tell me what this is all about, I will be in my room" Julia said and left.

Andrea didn't try to stop her as she was too overwhelmed with the thought that Dylan might be the father of the triplets.

"These lovebirds are definitely meant to be" she smiled.

*China*

Nicole called the police after Tyler left and the search for him started but they couldn't find him till the end of that day.

She couldn't even eat anything because there was no money with her so she went to bed.

Her rumbling stomach woke her up the next morning and when she couldn't take it anymore, she started searching everywhere in the house for money. While searching, she heard the doorbell ring and begrudgingly went to open the door.

"Who are you?" she asked the ladies standing before her with their belongings.

"Who are we? We bought this place and we are moving in immediately. It's ours now so we can do whatever we like with it. Who are you anyway?" one of the ladies asked and pushed her away.

"What are you talking about? This house belongs to me and I never sold it to anyone" Nicole panicked.

"You must be joking. The house belongs to a guy and he sold it to us and gave us the papers already. Move out of the house in the next thirty minutes or I will call the police" another one of them threatened.

"Please I don't have anywhere to go right now. Let me stay here for just one more night please" Nicole pleaded.

"I really will call the police in thirty minutes time. Your time is counting already" the ladies said.

Nicole saw that it was pointless to plead with them when they weren't even listening so she went in and packed her things.

She had a shoot in USA but that's still in five days time and the company won't take care of her travelling expenses if she leaves now so she went to the bank and took a loan. It was hard to secure the loan since there was no tangible collateral but she managed to get through it and as soon as she received the loan, she booked her plane ticket.

*Three days later*

Nicole returned to USA and smiled at the beautiful environment.

"It's good to be back home" she smiled and took a cab home.

Fortunately, she didn't sell her house in USA so she had somewhere to lay her head while thinking of what next to do.

"Don't I have any friend here that can help me out?" she muttered as she scrolled through her contact list.

While scrolling, she suddenly remembered Dylan and Nicole and paused scrolling.

"If only I was still Julia's friend. If I call her to tell her I'm stranded, the least she would have transferred to my account is $500000. I took all Dylan's property and money but now, I don't even have enough money to feed myself" she said to herself.

She decided to take a shower when she couldn't find anyone on her contact list and when she was done, she went to wear her clothes.

"I've gotten really skinny in this past days and it might affect my upcoming photoshoot. I should get some groceries at least and after the shoot, I can get little money again" she said and dressed up.

There was still a car that she left in her mansion so she got into it and drove to the grocery store.

"You seem so excited today, what's the occasion?" Julia asked Andrea as they shopped for groceries.

"I know right? I also wonder why I'm so excited today" Andrea said.

She knew it was because the DNA test result will be coming out today but she didn't want to tell Julia about it just yet.

"It's good to be excited so you can keep smiling. I'm tired here so let's finish up quickly and go back home" Julia said.

"Wait Julia! I think I just saw someone" Andrea said and went another way while Julia followed behind her.

"Who did you see? It can't be Dylan right? You've been excited to see him lately" Julia said.

"Does it look like I'm excited right now? I think the person I saw is Nicole" Andrea said.

"Nicole? I thought she left the country" Julia scoffed.

"She must have returned because things died down a bit but I'm going to teach her a lesson" Andrea said.

"Look at that woman. She's wearing shades but she's Nicole right?" Andrea asked.

"Yes, it's Nicole" Julia shrugged.

"You are okay right?" Andrea asked.

"Of course! You think I'm still sulking over what she did to me? I was the fool for calling someone like her my best friend so I've gotten over it already. I don't need any friend in my life anymore, you are enough for me" Julia smiled.

"I'm glad to hear that" Andrea smiled back and walked up to Nicole.

"Just quietly follow me outside unless you want to create a scene right here" Andrea whispered to Nicole and left without waiting for a response.
