Vanessa quickly picked up her Jacket that was lying crumpled on the bed and wrapped it around her body. She glanced at her daughter Emily and she still had that innocent look on her face, not understanding anything that was going on.

She frowned deeply at her before taking her tablet from her, Riccardo was still on the phone.

"Good evening." He greeted politely, adjusting his phone in his hands.

"Evening, you wanted to speak with me?" Vanessa asked, shifting from one foot to another.

"Yes, How are you doing?" He asked, his face not giving anything away.

"I'm great." Vanessa replied, grateful that he wasn't saying anything about her earlier outfit, she'd have been more embrassed than she already was.

Did he actually see what she wore? She asked herself inwardly. Or was she just thinking to much about it? His face didn't give anything away. So, Vanessa pushed the thoughts aside.

"I want to ask for your permission. Can I take Ethan and Emma to an amusement park during the weekend?" He asked, his eyes pleading with her.

Vanessa glanced at her daughter who was still in the room, she was giving her the pleading look and clapping her hands, willing for her mother to say 'yes.'

"Why?" Vanessa asked doubtfully.

"We haven't really spent much time together. You can come along if you don't want them alone with me." He suggested, a hint of sadness creeping into his voice.

Vanessa was tempted to ask him why he wanted to spend more time with her kids, but she found herself saying 'Yes' to his request.

"Thank you." He muttered, his gratitude evident.

Vanessa replied with a hum and a small nod of her head.

"Good night." She muttered.

"Night." With that, he disconnected the call, leaving Vanessa to her own thoughts.

"Thank you, Mommy!" Emily said, hugging Vanessa's leg, bringing her out of her reverie.

Vanessa had not even noticed when she left her position. But she smiled down at her, feeling happy that her daughter was excited.

"You're welcome dear, now go to bed." Vanessa said, holding her tender palms in hers.

"I will. Good night, Mommy." Emily said, throwing Vanessa a flying kiss.

"Night, my dear." Vanessa said, catching the kiss which Emily threw her way.

Vanessa then carried her into her room where Ethan was waiting.

"Did Mommy agree?" He asked Emily, as they walked towards their bed.

"Yes." Emily beamed, her excitement contagious.

"Thank you Mommy." Ethan smiled cutely.

"You're welcome dearies." Vanessa replied her heart swelling with pride at her kids.

She moved forward and helped them climb into the bed, then tucked them in.

"Good night, dearies." She said affectionately.

"Night, Mommy." They both said simultaneously.

Vanessa sat beside their bed as she sang them a Lullaby till they fell asleep. She kissed their foreheads before leaving the room and as usual, she gave them one last glance before shutting the door behind her.

As she left their room, she went straight to her painting room to continue the Paintings from the previous day.

Juliet sat in the living room waiting for his return. As usual, she was keeping herself busy with the novel she found intruiging. Romeo had refused to tell her about what he meant the last time about the Author.

And she had not asked him about it again. Just then, she heard the sound of his car drive in and she stood up from the couch, in a few minutes, he walked in carrying his briefcase. When his eyes landed on her, it was the same Cold eyes, but Juliet had gotten used to it, so she wasn't really fazed by it anymore.

Sometimes, she just wondered how such cold being became her Fiancé, but she couldn't remember anything as her memories weren't back yet.

"You're back. Welcome." Juliet greeted, walking towards him.

He ran his eyes over her with a small nod as he used his free hand to adjust his tie with a small sigh.

"Let me help you with that." She requested, trying to take his briefcase from him.

Romeo let her, after all, it wasn't the first time she was doing it.

She followed behind him as he went up to his room.

She dropped the briefcase on the table and quickly went to assist him with his tie.

"How was your day at work today?" She asked, avoiding his gaze as she loosened the tie.

He shrugged. "Nothing special. Just the same boring day at work." He muttered.

"You always give me that response." She muttered taking two steps back with his tie in her hands.

"Because that's what it is." He replied lowly.

She rolled her eyes. "Anyways, I'm good as new now. When would I start working?" She asked.

His pupils dilated as he stared at her. "Why?" He asked calmly.

"Why what?" Juliet asked confused.

"Why do you want to work?"

"Well, I obviously had a job before the accident, I can go back to working there. I can't be sitting at home forever." She stated.

"Have you ever thought about the accident you had?" He asked coldly.

"The people who hurt you are still roaming about freely, it's not safe for you outside there." He stated as a matter-of-factly.

"I know." She said, taking two steps closer towards him.

"But I have you here to protect me." She said, staring at him somewhat lovingly.

"Why do you think that I will protect you?" He asked, bringing his hands to hold her waist and drag her closer to his body.

"Won't you protect your Fianceè?" She retorted, leaning closer towards him.

"But..."

"Are you not my fiancé?" She asked, looking at him incredulously.

"What? Of course I am." He said quickly.

"Good. Now go take a shower." She muttered, gently removing his hands from her waist.

"I'll be in the dinning room." She added before walking away.

Romeo shooked his head as he stared at her retreating figure. Just what had he gotten himself into? He thought.

Was she getting suspicious of their relationship? Well, she better not because this was only the beginning.

NEXT MORNING

He had already gone to work and Juliet decided to sneak out of the house to the grocery store to get some things.

Yes, she sneaked out because she didn't inform him before leaving and she hoped that whatever people that caused her accident that he was talking about won't see her to cause more troubles.

She didn't plan on staying long, she'd just get a few things and head back before he'd notice. As she walked into the grocery store, she quickly picked up a basket and proceeded to start picking out what she needed.

She walked around the shelfs and racks of different  products picking out what she needed the most. Just as she rounded up a shelf, she bumped into someone.
