Chapter 61 Act Well
Lilly was extremely reluctant to go in, but as his nominal girlfriend, she had to go in, and he had just helped and did not expose her lies.
After the two entered the hall, they sat at the main table. It can be seen that he and the old man are really close, as close as a family, otherwise he would not have taken her to sit at the main table.
The kid sat next to the old man, and a foreign lady sat on the other side, presumably his mother.
She doesn't know if he was taught a lesson, but when he saw Lilly and the others, he didn't make any more moves, but his blue eyes were fixed on Lilly.
Lilly smiled at him and followed Ethan to the table.
Ethan's face was still ugly, so she had to try to find a topic to ease the atmosphere and whispered, "Thank you for your help just now."
"Compared to verbal thanks," he said coldly, "you should seriously think about how to repay me this time."
Lilly picked up the knife and fork in a sullen manner. It turned out that she was not helping for free.
"Then how do you want me to pay you back? Let me make it clear first, the contract period cannot be extended." Lilly first made the conditions clear. Anyway, he had already helped to make up the lie, and he couldn't go and tell the truth to the boss of Liney's company. This would be like shooting himself in the foot.
So to some extent, it depends on whether Lilly is willing to agree to the conditions.
He leaned over to her ear and whispered, "You pay for the midnight snack tonight."
"No." Lilly refused. Seeing him narrowing his eyes dangerously, she waved her hand and explained, "I have to go to the bar tonight to perform. It will be almost time for me to finish this banquet with you before rushing over. It will be early morning when it's over. Why eat a midnight snack? I'm really not stingy."
"I'll take you there." Ethan raised his eyebrows and said, "I will discuss business at Romance tonight. I'll eat after you finish singing."
"Ah?" Lilly said blankly, "Why do you go to the bar to discuss business?"
"Does it have anything to do with you?" he pursed his lips and said.
"Yes, it has nothing to do with me," Lilly said indifferently, and then she thought of something and asked, "What about Ziyan? Should I take her back to Villa first?" If she did that, she would definitely be late.
He said expressionlessly, "The producer has changed, and some things will change. She needs to go back to the crew. I asked the driver to take her there."
"The producer has changed? What do you mean--" Lilly was confused and was about to ask for details when the seat on the left was suddenly pulled away.
"Lilly, why did you disappear just now? Where did you go?" Ziyan's voice fell beside her.
Lilly's body froze for a moment, and then she realized that Ziyan also sat at this table, next to her.
Although Ziyan is Ethan's adopted daughter, she is the female companion brought by the producer. It is reasonable that she should sit at the same table with him, right?
However, Lilly looked around but didn't see him. She couldn't help but ask curiously, "Zian, where is Producer?"
"Producer was replaced by dad. The director and others called me and told me that the producer said that Dad misunderstood him and used dishonest means to drag him down. He is a villain," Ziyan whispered, and then he was a little angry, "Although I think he is a good person, but he scolded dad, that is unforgivable, I hate him."
Lilly was shocked. She probably knew what the misunderstanding that the producer mentioned was, so... Could it be that just because Ziyan was targeted by him, Ethan was willing to make such a big fuss to protect Ziyan?
It's not that we can't take measures, but the producer hasn't taken any action after all, so a warning is enough. The entertainment industry is so complicated, and Ethan suddenly pulled out a big head; it will always be a mess.
Lilly looked at him worriedly, organizing her words to say something, and then she saw Ziyan put a piece of braised catfish slices into Dad's plate.
"Dad, you like it," Ziyan said with timidity in her eyes, carefully and flatteringly.
Lilly looked away as if struck by lightning, clenched the fork in her hand, and concentrated on eating rice.
Ethan glanced at the meat slices, and an unknown emotion slowly spread in his heart.
At first, he didn't like catfish. It should be said that he didn't like all fish because he disliked the fishy smell.
It was Lilly who broke into his life and forced him to eat fish because fish is rich in various nutritious proteins.
And the fish cooked by Lilly had no fishy smell at all, so he gradually became accustomed to it.
It can even be said that in those four years, Lilly was his habit.
But Lilly's sudden departure was like not giving him any chance to buffer, and directly uprooted all his habits.
That's why his world collapsed so quickly. He moved the fork in his hand and gently moved the fish meat. He didn't eat it, but turned his head to look at Lilly beside him.
She just kept eating white rice and didn't eat vegetables.
Ethan's eyebrows frowned slightly, and a plate of potato chips was turned in front of him by the rotating plate. Potatoes are Lilly's favorite dish.
He picked up two pieces with his fork and put them on Lilly's white rice.
"Eh?" Lilly looked at the potatoes falling from the sky. Her foodie nature made her eyes light up at first, and then she realized who had picked them for her.
After he picked up the potatoes, he picked up the wine glass with a calm face and slowly tasted the red wine in the glass.
"Are you possessed?" Lilly murmured.
He tilted his head slightly and approached her, saying, "There are so many eyes staring at you, Miss Lilly; you have to act well."
The breath blowing in her ears made her feel nervous, and when she looked up, she saw that a group of people were looking over here.
The postures of her and him at the moment were very ambiguous.
"You have to show off even when you are having a meal, do you have to be so deliberate!" Jessica stared at Lilly.
Lilly was speechless and could not say anything. It was Ethan who approached her, not her. Why did he single her out for glaring? He was too biased.
However, after the old man scolded her, Jessica finally restrained herself a little and did not say anything unpleasant. She just kept throwing murderous glares at Lilly.
Lilly cooperated with him, picked up a piece of tofu and put it in his plate. He raised his hand elegantly and ate it all.
