Chapter 56 Dishearted
Even though the fact that Ethan did everything to protect Ziyan made her heart break, she still hoped that Ziyan would not blame Ethan and didn't want him to feel even a little sad.
Lilly raised her beautiful eyes and looked at Ethan, who was standing in the distance, talking to Quinn. She vaguely thought of Yulia's words that she loved too cheaply.
Oh, it was indeed very cheap.
Lilly turned her head and looked at Ziyan beside her. After listening to her explanation, Ziyan stared at Ethan happily, with a strong admiration in her eyes.
"Ziyan, there are too many people here, and the air is not very good. I'll go out for a walk." Lilly said softly.
Ziyag looked at her sweetheart intently and did not pay much attention to Lilly's words, but responded unconsciously.
Lilly's eyes patrolled them back and forth, and raised the corners of her mouth in self-mockery. He looked around and found that there was a path leading to the garden on the right side of the mansion, so he turned around and set foot on that path.
The garden is very stylish, with flying eaves and brackets, and exquisite curves. It can be seen that although the son of the old boss of the Liney married a foreign, the tradition of the Liney is deeply rooted.
Lilly strolled in this garden, and the sadness and pain in her heart were gradually soothed by the ancient and solemn atmosphere of the building in front of her.
Now she had to get so close to Ethan that those wounds were exposed.
As long as she could survive the remaining few months, she could hide far away. As long as she could no longer see him, those wounds would heal automatically and hide in the deepest part.
Lilly nodded to herself, agreeing with her own thoughts. Tired of walking, she sat down on a small stone bench with her back against a big tree.
As a result, her butt just touched the bench, and her head was hit by something.
Lilly took a breath, rubbed her head and stood up, trying to find the object that attacked her, and a red apple rolled over at her feet. Is she going to become Newton or something?
Lilly bent down to pick up the apple, turned around, and then noticed that the big tree was actually an apple tree.
Before she had time to think about some laws like Mr. Newton, or to create a unique way, or to understand life, a childish voice suddenly floated down from above her head.
"Ah! How did my apple fall down!"
Lilly was frightened and took two steps back. Her feet accidentally hit the stone bench, and her body lost balance and fell directly on the grass.
"Pretty girl, why did you fall?" The voice seemed to want to pretend to be romantic and unrestrained, but it was so tender and crisp with a milky voice that it was simply ridiculous.
Lilly looked carefully and saw a little boy of eight or nine years old sitting on a thick branch on the right. His legs were drooping and swaying. He was wearing a pair of dark blue children's overalls in European and American style.
His chestnut-colored hair was soft and curly, and his blue eyes looked particularly bright under the orange light of the garden.
Lilly narrowed his eyes slightly and looked carefully at the little round face. The hair color, the eye color, and the facial features that were somewhat similar to Jessica's, probably had a lot of blood relationship with Jessica...
"Why don't you speak? Is he dumb?" Seeing that she was still sitting on the ground and didn't answer his question, the little boy asked again.
Lilly patted her dirty skirt and stood up from the ground. She didn't want to have too much contact with Jessica's relatives.
And this kid said "pretty girl" as soon as she opened her mouth, imitating the playboys to tease girls. At first glance, he was not a normal person, so it was better to stay away.
Lilly turned around as if she didn't hear anything. Before she took half a step, she heard the boy's anxious shout from behind.
"Hey! Don't go!"
Lilly subconsciously stopped, and the boy breathed a sigh of relief and said, "It's okay, although I'm dumb, I'm not deaf."
"Who said I'm deaf?" Lilly turned back and blinked.
The little boy was stunned when he heard the voice as soft as jelly, scratched his head, and seemed to have received some etiquette, so he immediately realized that this behavior was not elegant and too silly, so he put down his hand, sat upright, raised his chin high, and pretended to be arrogant, "So you're not dumb, then why didn't you answer me when I was talking to you just now?"
"Oh, you were talking about just now," Lilly curled her lips mischievously, "My name is not prettygirl, how do I know you are talking to me?"
The little boy thought about it and felt that it seemed to make sense, so he asked, "What's your name?"
"Before asking others' names, you should first tell them your own name. This is polite. Gentlemen can't be impolite." Lilly said with a smile.
The little boy almost couldn't help scratching his head again. The elders in the family warned him not to tell strangers his name casually, otherwise it would be dangerous.
Lilly saw that he didn't say a word, looked very embarrassed, and didn't want to force him.
"Is it inconvenient to say? That's right, it's not convenient for me either." Lilly leisurely weighed the red apple in his hand, "You just hit me with this-"
"No, it wasn't me who hit it. It was originally in my pocket. I don't know why it fell..." The little boy interrupted and explained aggrievedly.
"Well, I mean, since I know you because of this red guy, why don't I call you Little Apple?" Lilly smiled cunningly.
The little boy frowned and was about to say that this name was too rude and inelegant, but Lilly had already walked under the tree, looked up at him, and shouted, "Little Apple, Little Apple, oh, so cute, you look like a little apple, so round, tsk tsk tsk, your little face is pink, Little Apple, are you shy? The shy look really makes people want to bite it."
"Who is shy!" The little boy's face immediately turned red, and his little hand scratched his head, put it down, and scratched it again, looking flustered.
With his status, ordinary people could not easily get close to him. His grandfather loved him and taught him earnestly, teaching him to be steady and polite.
But he was at an active age, and he couldn't learn the old-fashioned style. As time went by, he envied his handsome brothers' straightforwardness and always wanted to learn from them.
