Chapter 29 Enjoying Lilly’s Shyness
"It's really not... Oh, I said it's not!" Lilly continued to struggle to explain.
"Girl doesn't need to explain, I understand, everything." Maid patted her little shoulder happily and pushed her into the villa. Lilly sighed in her heart; this time, it was really a loss!
After entering the villa, Lilly went to the kitchen by herself, and the maid hurried upstairs to the study.
"Sir, what do you want to tell me?" Maid asked.
"Lilly has just been discharged from the hospital, and her hands are sore. You are the chef, just let her help a little by the side." Shawn flipped through the documents in his hand and said without raising his head.
Maid was immediately confused. She thought that Mr. Romano insisted on bringing her, who was hospitalized yesterday, here because he really liked her cooking skills. But now he said that he didn't want her to cook. So why did he bring her here?
"Is there anything unclear?" Shawn frowned and looked at her, who was standing there stupidly.
"No," She quickly came back to her senses and replied, then remembered something and said, "By the way, sir, Zyan called home just now and said that she couldn't get through to your cell phone. She said that the crew's play ended early today, and she could come back to have lunch with you at noon."
Shawn took out his cell phone from his pocket. The screen was black, obviously out of power.
"Got it." Shawn charged the cell phone and threw it on the table, "You can go down."
She nodded and left the study room.
Lilly just took the ingredients out of the refrigerator in the kitchen when she saw the maid rushing in and pushed her aside without saying a word.
"Aren't I the one cooking?" Lilly was confused.
"Sir, just said that I should be the chef, and you can just help out. After all, you just got out of the hospital, and your hands are definitely not flexible. You can just give me some pointers today."
"Ah...?" Lilly was confused. The plot development was too jumpy.
But since she didn't have to do it, she just had to talk, so she was happy to be idle. So she stood aside and began to instruct the maid.
When the clock turned to twelve, the food was ready, and the doorbell rang. The maid was setting the dishes, and Lilly took the initiative to go to the door to open it.
Standing at the door was a girl wearing a little dress, a sun hat, and a pair of big sunglasses.
"Lilly?" Ziyan exclaimed in surprise, "Why is it you? I heard from Zyan that you were sick and hospitalized yesterday. How come you are well today and can come to cook?"
"Yeah, I finally see you. I haven't seen you come back to eat for two months." Lilly said with a smile.
When she said this, Ziyan's face changed. In fact, she didn't want Lilly and Shawn to be alone for such a long time, but she had just joined the crew and had a lot of scenes to rehearse.
Many of the key scenes were particularly difficult, which resulted in her not having time to go home for dinner for two consecutive months.
At this time, Shawn appeared on the stairs and was walking down slowly from upstairs.
Ziyang called "Uncle Shawn" in a tender voice, then took Lilly's arm affectionately, and walked into the dining room with her while chatting and laughing.
Shawn has always been indifferent and would not respond to other people's greetings too much. His eyes passed over Lilly indifferently, and he followed the two girls without saying a word, entered the dining room, and sat down.
Before lunch started today, the maid served everyone a bowl of pre-meal soup. Because Ziyan was there, Lilly sat farthest from Shawn today.
After drinking the soup for a while, Shawn suddenly said to Lilly, "Sauce dish."
Lilly and Ziyan were chatting, and she didn't hear clearly for a while, so she asked, "Mr. Romano, what did you say just now?"
"Sauce dish." He repeated it once, looking at the small sauce dish on her side.
Lilly said, "oh" and handed it to him.
"Lilly, why do you call Uncle Shawn Mr. Romano now? You used to call him by his name. Is it because you don't want to call him by his name anymore, or because you have some taboo now?" Ziyan asked curiously after taking a sip of the soup.
Lilly paused while scooping the soup, and couldn't help complaining in her heart, what taboos are there? If there is one, it's that your uncle hates her, okay, now there is only a transaction relationship between her and him.
How can she still shamelessly grab someone and call him by his name like before.
