Chapter 14 Kiss On Her Lips
Lilly wanted to cry but had no tears. Was he a man or a lion? Could you please be reasonable?
"You, you, you... Can you drive slower? Okay?" Lilly was so anxious that she couldn't help but use the flattering tone she used when she was with him.
She did this every time he was in a bad mood and did something self-abusive. So habit becomes nature...She even grabbed his hand, holding the steering wheel in a hurry.
The girl's soft and slender palm covered the man's cold and rough back of the hand, like a powerful spell, instantly stopping the man's violent movements.
The speed of the car gradually slowed down. Lilly finally breathed a sigh of relief, but saw Ethan staring at her hand pressing on his hand. Lilly, who was slow to react, instantly bounced back as if she had been electrocuted.
"Mistake, mistake." Lilly coughed dryly and explained repeatedly. If someone didn't know, they would think she was going to molest him... God knows she didn't do it on purpose like before!
Lilly turned her head away guiltily and looked out the window. She found that the car had driven to a fresh fruit and vegetable supermarket with grand decorations. So she made up a random sentence to cover up her inner guilt and asked, "Why are we going to the supermarket?"
He glanced at the back of her hand that she had just touched. He seemed to be absent-minded. After a while, he said, "Buy vegetables."
After that, he turned the steering wheel and drove into the underground parking lot of the supermarket. Ten minutes later, Lilly pushed the cart, and he appeared in the supermarket one step behind and one step ahead.
Looking at the tall and slender figure in front, Lilly couldn't help but start to be distracted again. How come even the back is so beautiful?
The golden ratio of broad shoulders and narrow waist is simply a clothes hanger. No wonder he wears a famous suit with a temperament that ordinary people can't wear at all.
Lilly's eyes lingered on him, watching him move gracefully, sometimes walking to the shelf, and sometimes walking back to the cart. His bony hands skillfully picked the fresh produce and fruits on the shelf, and then put the good ones into the cart.
Lilly examined the quality of the ingredients in the cart and hummed with satisfaction, but always felt that something was wrong...Suddenly, she shuddered-
When did the associate professor of the Royal Academy of Music, who was known as a poisonous tongue, become so comfortable with buying vegetables? She clearly remembered that he never cooked!
He turned around and saw her eyes switching back and forth between him and the potatoes he was holding. Then, he showed an expression of discovering a new world.
His wrist suddenly tensed, and he realized he had secretly practiced cooking for the girl. To cook well, he first had to be able to choose good ingredients, so he often went to the supermarket to practice following the guide to choosing ingredients he searched online.
Over time, it became a habit that he could not even notice.
"You go." He walked back to the cart, raised his hand coldly, pointed at the shelf, and said.
"Ah?" Lilly turned her head blankly. Why did he change people just now? Didn't he seem to be having fun just now? Why did she find it harder and harder to understand him when she saw him again a year later...
But the boss had spoken, so who dared not obey? "I'll pick it if I want," Lilly muttered, walked to the shelf, and started picking carrots. He looked at her focused look, and a layer of warmth slowly spread in his eyes.
Once upon a time, the scene before him was not what he had dreamed of...He, immersed in such a beautiful dream, was less vigilant and was unaware of the black shadow that suddenly pounced on him from behind...but now he was in the present.
"Is it your turn to take care of our affairs?" Jessica swayed her waist and walked to Lilly, looking down at her arrogantly.
Lilly was not taller than her, but she was angered by such a contemptuous attitude. She stood there, stubbornly raising her slender and soft neck, and a sneer appeared at the corner of her lips.
Ethan's eyes showed a trace of expectation. He just wanted to see how this clever and eloquent girl would bully the stupid woman who automatically ran into the gun.
"Miss Jessica, since you like Ethan so much, you should know his personality very well, right?" Lilly threw out the first bait.
"Of course, Ethan and I grew up together," Jessica said complacently, not realizing she had fallen into a trap. "No one knows him better than me."
"So is Ethan a gentleman who keeps his word and keeps his promise, or a villain who curries favor with the powerful, succumbs to interests, and betrays his loyalty?" Lilly asked gently and persuasively.
Jessica frowned, her eyebrows thicker than those of ordinary women. She felt that Lilly's question was strange, but she couldn't tell why. But since she asked about Ethan's character, she certainly couldn't allow anyone to slander her beloved man.
"Of course, he keeps his word and keeps his promise," Jessica answered.
"Great." Lilly smiled sweetly. In the murderous eyes of Jessica, she suddenly took Ethan's arm and called out tenderly, "Darling." The man she held his arm, suddenly changed his expression, and a strong and complex emotion emerged in his eyes.
He turned his head slightly to look at her and responded with a sexy and deep voice, "Yeah."
Lilly was concentrating on acting and didn't notice his abnormality at all. She raised her chin to him, indicating that he should act out the whole set and kiss her face. To give the plump woman a fatal blow.
Ethan's eyes flashed with a doting smile, followed her, lowered his head, and kissed her, but the kiss was not on the cheek, but on the lips.
