Chapter 305 She Died Wrong

Chapter 305 She Died Wrong

On the hospital bed, Benjamin's finger twitched.

Isla, who had been standing by the bedside, was so shocked that her pupils dilated sharply.

Her mouth trembled as she bit down hard on her finger.

Her body shook slightly, too.

But she didn't dare move, let alone speak.

Benjamin's finger only moved once before returning to normal.

But Isla's heart felt like it had been struck by a meteor.

Was he awake?

Did he see?

Did he hear?

Isla didn't dare think about it, didn't dare be sure of anything.

Right now, she only hoped that Benjamin wouldn't wake up.

Better yet, that he would never wake up.

This family had already fallen apart--there was nothing left worth cherishing.

Even if he managed to wake up, it wouldn't be a good thing.

She no longer had the face to meet him.

Isla felt like she was going crazy as well.

What kind of woman had she become?

William told someone to have Isla put on that long trench coat again.

He made her wear something completely out of season in the scorching summer heat, walking through the stares of passing crowds.

He never missed any opportunity to humiliate Isla.

He overheard a couple of old men whispering in the hallway.

"Why do you think that woman is wearing a trench coat? Isn't she hot?"

"What do you know? Rich people have all kinds of kinks. How do you know she's hot? Maybe she's wearing nothing under that coat."

"What? That's too bold, isn't it? Does this woman have no shame?"

"Idiot, that's what they call a master's orders."

Those comments reached Isla's ears, too.

She kept her head down, walking quickly.

Right now, she just wanted to escape this place as fast as possible.

She covered her ears, her eyes red.

The uncomfortable sensation between her legs felt like a bad dream, yet it was real and still hadn't gone away.

She didn't want to stay in the hospital another second--she just wanted to hurry back to her dog cage.

At least in the dog cage, no one would talk about her. Even if she wasn't wearing clothes, no one would stare at her.

In that place, no one stood on moral high ground to judge her.

But with just one look from William, someone came up and grabbed her shoulder.

"Mr. Spencer wants me to ask you--why are you in such a hurry?"

"Are you rushing to meet some man?"

The bodyguard's voice was loud enough for everyone to hear.

It immediately drew everyone else's attention in the hallway, and now there were even more whispers.

They all stared at Isla from a distance, curious and nosy.

The two old men who had been talking earlier also boldly moved closer.

"See? Didn't I tell you? She's definitely a slut."

"She's pretty well-maintained, though, quite an attractive woman."

Hearing those words, William immediately came up with another idea.

He quietly added another punishment to his plans for Isla.

He deliberately slowed his pace and stood in front of the two old men, saying with a smile,

"You seem to appreciate her. Want to try what she's like?"

The two old men's eyes lit up immediately, their breathing heavy with excitement.

"Really? Is that possible?"

"Sir, you're not messing with us, are you?"

William said in an easy, casual tone,

"Of course it's possible, just not today."

William was feeling tired now. He'd been away from the villa for too long.

He was worried Isabella at home might be getting anxious.

He needed to hurry home, stay by Isabella's side, and fulfill his duties as a husband.

"If you're still here tomorrow, though,"

"I can make your wish come true."

The two old men exchanged glances, their eyes full of anticipation.

"Of course, we'll definitely be here tomorrow."

"Sir, you have to keep your word."

These two old men had no idea who they were talking to.

If they knew the truth, they probably would have run away already.

But William couldn't waste this golden opportunity.

He exchanged a few more pleasantries before slowly following Isla downstairs.

In the car, Isla didn't say a word; she just hung her head.

The car was quiet too--no one tried to talk to her.

Isla remembered seeing Benjamin's finger move at the hospital.

A sudden fear washed over her, and she wanted to cancel her request to visit the hospital tomorrow.

But when she looked at that lonely figure, she didn't dare say a word, afraid this man would strip her naked right now and throw her out onto the street.

She had long since stopped caring about her own life or death, so why would she care about humiliation?

She was only afraid--afraid of being recognized, afraid someone would show her indecent images to the unconscious Benjamin.

She had a feeling that Benjamin would definitely wake up.

She was terrified of this premonition.

But what scared her most was having sex with other men at the hospital.

Just imagining her shameful appearance being caught by a suddenly awakened Benjamin...

Isla's head dropped even lower.

Finally, the car stopped at the villa. Isla walked the familiar path toward her own cage.

She forgot to take off the long trench coat. She opened the cage herself and sat down.

The moment she sat down, all her strength left her.

She sat on the ground in a daze, burying her head in her knees.

Unable to control herself, she began to sob quietly.

The faint crying reached William's ears.

He suddenly walked over, pulled up a chair, and sat there, enjoying the sound of Isla's crying.

His face wore a victorious smile, eyes closed, his fingers tapping rhythmically as if keeping beat.

Isla's crying was very soft--you couldn't hear it clearly without getting close.

So William pulled his chair even closer.

He listened as Isla's crying grew quieter and quieter, then finally stood up and headed upstairs.

But before leaving, he glanced at the other cage, where Juniper's body lay dead.

She'd only been dead one day. The biggest change in her corpse was her eyes.

Though her eyes were open, her pupils were dilated and unfocused.

Her corneas had turned cloudy, looking like rotten lychees.

William figured that in three more days at most, her eyes would completely turn into rotten lychees.

He said coldly, "You're really lucky."

"Just a miscarriage and you died, got your release."

"You're luckier than Isabella. When Isabella died, every bone in her body was broken."

He murmured, "I went through so much trouble to barely repair her body."

William suddenly stopped. He looked at Dylan and said,

"No, her corpse is too intact."

"This way of dying is wrong."

"She should be like Isabella--jumped from the rooftop and died from the fall, every bone shattered."

Hearing his instructions, Dylan immediately had Juniper's body lifted out of the cage.

The blood from her vagina had congealed, causing the blanket on the floor to stick to her thighs.

When Dylan had people lift her out, Juniper's body had already gone stiff with rigor mortis, frozen in a sitting position with her legs spread open.
