Chapter 268 Call an Ambulance Quickly

Chapter 268 Call an Ambulance Quickly

Juniper is the person most afraid of dying in the whole world. She used to be scared of many things.

Scared her makeup was not perfect enough, scared Isabella would steal her spotlight.

She was also scared she would not be able to get rid of Isabella and smoothly become Mrs. Spencer.

The things that could make her feel scared, you could not finish counting them in three days and nights.

But after being put in the dog cage, she felt none of those things mattered anymore.

Now she is only afraid of dying, because once you are dead, there is nothing left.

Juniper likes the feeling of being alive. To stay alive, she can throw away all her principles.

Even being locked in a dog cage, dressed in dog clothes, wearing a dog tail.

She does not care.

She will not let herself be like Isabella, so stupid.

Why not stay alive? Why jump?

Juniper finds she understands this question less and less.

It feels as if her brain is shrinking, and her intelligence is dropping with it.

Ever since the day she almost got killed by Donny, it is as if her brain cells had all been scared to death that day.

Juniper tilts her head. Her confused, muddled brain can no longer think about anything long-term.

She grabs a handful of dog food and feeds it into her mouth with her hand.

Then she chews hard a few times, a satisfied smile appearing on her face.

This is not dog food at all — it is clearly the most delicious food in the world.

But after taking one bite, panic suddenly flashes in her eyes.

Then she quickly gets down on the ground, on all fours like a real dog, stretching out her neck to eat with her mouth.

She is getting more and more used to this way of eating.

So much so that just now, in that instant when she revealed her human side, she actually felt afraid.

Even when William is not around, she still feels afraid.

It seems that in the whole villa, her life alone is the least worth caring about.

Even Isla, this godmother who used to be close to her in the past.

Even an old woman like her has someone who cares about her.

That reckless Donny, when Isabella was still alive, was willing to risk his life for her and go against William.

He is really crazy.

Isabella is already dead, and Donny still has to make some kind of promise, some last wish to her.

He still wants to rescue Isla.

Juniper eats the dog food. She slowly stops, getting angrier the more she thinks about it.

She sticks her rear up, farts in Isla's direction, shows a smug smile on her face, and continues eating.

She has messed with Isla again.

The door is locked from the inside. The hallway has lights but no people.

The walls block out the sounds and temperature from outside, even the sunlight.

All the curtains have been drawn and painted over with a layer of black paint.

This way, William will not notice from downstairs when another unwanted person might appear.

With the lights off, even during the day, you cannot see the lines on your fingers in the room.

The crystal chandelier above flickers like distant stars. William has one arm around Isabella's waist, the other holding Isabella's hand.

"You ask me how deep my love runs, how much I care for you..."

He moves Isabella's body around, like a tumor attached to his own body. Wherever he goes, Isabella follows.

He sways step by step. At some point, he recovered the ability to speak normally, and now he hums softly along to a very old tune.

William's mouth curves up. In his eyes is the reflection of Isabella's head, drooping down from lack of support.

With each step he takes, Isabella's head bobs once.

He sees Isabella nodding at him, so he walks faster, and the smile on his face deepens.

"My feelings run deep, my love is true, every beat of my heart is for you..."

He hums softly, dancing around the bedroom with Isabella.

Until the song completely ends, William lets out a long breath.

He looks at Isabella in front of him and says with a light laugh, "Isabella, how come you are not tired at all?"

"I know now — you have not exercised in so many days, you must be going stir-crazy."

"I will keep dancing with you until you say you are tired."

He holds Isabella's waist, his feet keeping the beat, and hums the earlier tune again.

"You ask me how deep my love runs..."

The crystal chandelier stretches out its shadows, casting them on the wall, dancing along with them.

It feels like there is another dancing couple in the room, so it is not as cold and empty as before.

Until Isabella's neck makes a sharp crack because of the way he is turning and spinning her around.

The smile on William's face disappears at once. He sees Isabella's head snap backward heavily, and the thin veil on her face slips off.

William supports her body, moving bit by bit until they reach the bedside. Then, supporting her waist, he slowly, little by little, lays Isabella flat on the bed.

By the time William finishes all this, cold sweat has broken out all over his forehead.

He wipes his forehead and reaches out to touch Isabella's neck.

He cannot feel anything.

He gets scared and starts searching the room for his phone.

Bedside, cabinet, drawer, and finally under the bed.

He searches every corner of the room, but the phone seems to have grown legs and run away — he just cannot find it.

William runs quickly toward the door. His foot catches on the carpet, and he falls backward. The phone flies out of his pocket.

The fall is solid. His head buzzes for a while, and his nose feels warm.

William looks down and sees several drops of blood on his shirt.

He wipes with his hand and discovers he has actually got a nosebleed from the fall.

But he clearly did not hit his nose just now. Instead, there is a feeling of air leaking where his front teeth are.

William touches it with his hand and gasps from the pain.

His front tooth has broken in half.

William does not have time to think about why, when he hit his front tooth, the tooth did not bleed, but his nose is bleeding instead.

He picks up the phone that just fell, unlocks it with his blood-stained hand, and calls Dylan directly.

"Get a doctor here, quick. And call an ambulance."

On the other end, when Dylan hears that he needs to find a doctor and call an ambulance, his heart rate doubles from nervousness.

He does not have time to ask why. He immediately dials emergency services while contacting the new family doctor he found, Ronnie Harrison.

Then, not even bothering with his clothes, he runs upstairs.

He stands at the door of that room, catches his breath, and before straightening his back, he knocks on the door first.

"Mr. Spencer, what happened?"

The moment William opens the door, Dylan gets even more worried.

Seeing all that blood around his mouth, spreading to his neck and chest.

His eyes carefully examine everything above William's chest. Only after confirming three times that there is no fatal wound does he breathe a sigh of relief.

He finally notices William's nosebleed that will not stop, and the front tooth that is half missing.

He wants to continue asking, but William tells him,

"Isabella is hurt. She might be in danger."

"Quick, get me a doctor."

Dylan presses his lower lip, his brow furrowing.

He speaks weakly, "Mr. Spencer, Ms. Tudor, Ms. Tudor, she is already..."

Dylan cannot bring himself to say the word "dead."

He just cannot do it — remind William at this moment.

Ms. Tudor is already dead.

How can a dead person get hurt?
