Chapter one hundred and eighteen: Day Two.

“Yes, it has been quite a while but I have something to tell you about my husband,” Mrs. Lois Andrew said.

“Okay I am listening,” Officer Joe said.

Mrs. Lois Andrew went on and explained everything that happened to Officer Joe.

Day two.

The following day, police commissioner Reynold decided to arrange and inform his men, ahead of the big day tomorrow. In the morning, he summoned all officers that he knows that can or might handle the job during the event to avoid interference.

Police Officer Joe, Officer Ruby, and Inspector Eric were also summoned as well because they are one of the leading investigators in the case.

Though Officer Joe was Kate to the meeting in the briefing room, he still got in. He went straight to where his colleagues sat. The meeting commences.

Police Commissioner Reynold brought a board and he was pointing talk and talking but that did not concern police officers Joe, Ruby, and Inspector Eric, because they knew the commissioner's true color but were looking for a way to prove it.

Officer Joe moved to his colleagues who were sitting in the back seats of the briefing room. “Babe, why were you late?” Officer Ruby asked. She changed his name, as they are now dating.

“Babe?” Inspector Eric asked. He was surprised.

“Yeah, we are now dating. So why are you late?” Officer Ruby asked again.

“I slept late, I was working on some evidence. Good news, I have put the pieces together and we have a witness,” Officer Joe said. He showed them what he had been working on over the night.

Inspector Eric looked at the book he was given by Officer Joe. He read through it and he saw the witnessed name and he said “How did you get all these?” he was confused and shocked at the same thing, just a mixed reaction.

Officer Ruby took it and read through and she said “Finally we have something strong to pin him and his colleague down,”.

“I got all that information from the witness state there, and she is willing to testify in court also. It is a favor from our outlaw friend,” Officer Joe said with a smile on his face.

“But… I.. I am shocked, the witness is going to be billionaire Andrews's wife?!” Inspector Eric asked with a slightly loud voice, it got the attention of people sitting in front of him, listening to the commissioner. He apologizes and he slows his voice.

“Yes, I know it is surprising, that is why they say, fear women,” Officer Joe said.

“Hey!” Officer Ruby exclaimed and he gave Joe a push and they all laughed.

“When do you think is the best time for us to act on our evidence so far?” Officer Ruby asked.

“We need to catch him, in the act first, then we follow up with our evidence,” Officer Joe replied.

Police Commissioner Reynold was still talking and narrating something on the board, he then shouted “We move out tomorrow,!”.

Officer Joe picked that as a sign and said “Tomorrow, we move out tomorrow, that is when we can catch him and his colleague in the act,”.

“Yeah, you are right,” Inspector Eric agreed.

Police commissioner Reynold was done with his yapping and he said “Everybody, tomorrow is the D-day, get your mind in the game, tomorrow don't let the outlaw get past you, stop him at all costs,”.

The police officers in the room all responded with a “yes sir!”.

A thought came to the mind of Officer Ruby, he looked at her boyfriend and co-worker, and she asked “Are we going to suit up, like wear our uniforms and gadgets as other officers tomorrow?”.

“Not really, just your pistol and a plain, concealable bulletproof, that will do because we are entering Hall as rich people going for donations, and from there we will spy on police commissioner Reynold and his colleague before we act, hope you get?” officer Joe said.

“I get but what is the dress code?” Inspector Eric asked.

“Just suits, tuxedos, gown, all black by the way,” officer Joe replied.

“Alright, we are ready,” Inspector Eric said.

The briefing was concluded, and everything was in place. But police commissioner Reynold did not know that there was a background plan already.

Everyone was ready for the day to come, so as did Mike, Mason, and Jane.

Meanwhile, at billionaire Andrews's mansion, Jane was busy making calls and instructing the organizers, the chefs, the decorators, and everyone on what to do and what she wanted to see.

Her father, billionaire Andrew came into her room without knocking but that is something she is used to, right from childhood.

Billionaire Andrew waited for her to finish the call, Jane needed the call and he turned to her father. “Dad, you know it is not nice to badge into my room, we talked about this. What can I help you with? Your pills?”.Jane asked.

“No, not really. I just wanted to check on my daughter, on how her program is going, remember tomorrow is the big day,” billionaire Andrew said.

“It is going great, I have the food and everything in place, I just need to make some adjustments to things,” Jane replied.

“Okay, have created the bank account to receive the payment? Like an account,” billionaire Andrew asked.

“No not yet, I forgot, can you help me with that? Please,” Jane said.

“Don't worry, I have already taken care of it, I will give you the account number when you want people to donate, okay?” billionaire Andrew said.

“Alright. Thank you,” Jane, despite what Jane had uncovered about her father, she couldn't resist this helping hand, though it looked Greek to her she desperately needed it.

Billionaire Andrew left the room of his daughter and he called Rob.

“Hello Rob, I convinced her, the plan is in motion,” billionaire Andrew said over the phone.

“Good, I am already done with the setup, by tomorrow I will move the whole set to the event Hall with my team on standby, just in case of interference,” Rob said.

“Alright. Remember, don't mess up or you won't like what I will do to you,” billionaire Andrew said.

“I asked again. Does your daughter know about this? Or is she part of this?” Rob asked.

“No, she is innocent, just three of us,” billionaire Andrew replied.

“Alright Sir, you will anonymously make millions tomorrow,” Rob said.

Billionaire Andrew smiled as he ended the call.
