Chapter 80 Conditions

Chapter 80 Conditions
Sara

Intimidating me, plunging me into a stupor! It makes my heart break into pieces! And suffer... From how much I hate him, but I love him!

I love him. I think I still love him!

Otherwise, why does my soul turn upside down when he looks at my lips so rapaciously? When he clutches my hair in his fist and burns my lips with heat?

I'll deceive my head, but not my heart. I still think about him, remember him, yearn for him. Dreaming of changing everything and turning back time.

Fool. Fool. Fool!

Out of the corner of my eye, I see trees flickering past the glass. The cityscape quickly gave way to a forest.

"Don't, don't take me to the forest! Don't kill me..." A pitiful moan escaped my lips, and the cruel devil's eyes suddenly brightened.

I wanted to say it firmly, but it came out somehow pitiful. I was just so scared...

There wasn't a hint of humor in his menacing voice. I began to humiliate myself, not for myself, but for the child. But this is a test, right? Yeah?

He only wants to show me how dangerous he is. To intimidate me. To instill submissiveness. He wants me to voluntarily agree to everything he demands of me. Otherwise, I'll deeply regret it.

The car brakes abruptly. Here we are...It's dark all around, not a soul in sight. A dense, impenetrable forest with gnarled, terrifying trees.

I saw this, then the driver, who, judging by the sounds, first opened the trunk and then strode deeper into the forest, carrying a shovel over his shoulder and a huge black sack in his hands.

"Shawn..." Startled, I realized I'd mouthed his name. My voice trailed off and seemed to vanish. A short pause fell between us as we stared into each other's eyes. Tears froze in mine, red flames danced in his.

He broke the tense silence and growled.

"Don't look at me with such innocent eyes!" He pushed me away sharply, making me hit the back of my head on the chair and sob, clutching my neck. "It won't work anymore! It won't work... I won't fall for it! Now I'll show you who you're dealing with! Get out!"

"You won't dare twist me around your finger again!" Shawn pushes me out of the car. Grabbing my elbow, he leads me deeper into the forest.

"You've killed all the humanity in me, Sara. I don't trust people anymore. Especially women. And... I don't believe in love. Thanks to you!"

I look around, see gnarled and gloomy trees all around, rustling sounds, and the howling of the wind in the distance. I can't believe this is happening to me... he wouldn't dare do this! He hasn't completely lost his mind, has he?

A shovel falls at my feet. He angrily orders, "Dig."

I look at the shovel as if it were a huge, disgusting tarantula.

"What?"

"Dig your own hole." And I hear the pistol's safety click behind him. My insides sink. It seems the truth isn't joking.

In a situation like this, pride hides somewhere deep in my subconscious; I still have to tell him the truth! Tell him I'm carrying his child. Otherwise... Oh God, will he really bury me alive?

Shawn impatiently taps the barrel of the pistol against his palm. He leaned lazily against the tree trunk, as if enjoying the spectacle, doing something. "I'm not joking, go ahead and dig."

I don't move. I'm stunned. Shocked. "You'll really kill me?"

"Really." Fucking asshole replied.

"And you won't spare the child?" I stunned.

"I don't mind. It's not mine, after all. So I don't care." He said.

I don't recognize him. He's changed not only externally, but internally as well. Was it after his breakup with me? And supposedly after my betrayal? He's doing this on purpose. Waiting for me to give in and confess. On my own. He gets a special pleasure out of it.

Well... he won.

I step over the shovel and move closer to him. My chin trembles, but I somehow force out the truth.

"I lied." VveryBastard, very quietly.

"What?" He pretended to clear her ear with her finger.

"I'm telling you, I lied! I'm pregnant with your child! I'm carrying your child, Shawn Romano!" I hissed loudly, with emotion, clenching my fists so hard my nails cut my skin.

He exhaled with satisfaction, lifting his chin. "I knew you were lying. You always lie! That's why I'll never trust you again."

These words cut deep... "It's time to end the show! Get in the car! I heard what I wanted to hear, but we'll still do the test."

Scoundrel!

I thought so!

It was just a test and an attempt to humiliate the damned traitor.

He snatches the shovel from my hands and roughly throws it aside. He puts me back in the car and jumps in after me, slamming the door. He turns his head, his glowing eyes staring straight into mine: "We're going to the clinic now, then we'll discuss your future life."

The car hums, accelerating, and I feel a tremendous sense of relief when I realize it was all just... like some kind of stupid prank! The eerie forest recedes further and further, and the outlines of a large city loom ahead.

He grabs my wrist, lightly scratching the skin with his nails, making me tense and prepare for a difficult conversation. It's been a while since we've seen each other...

And yet, it feels like just yesterday I ran away from him. He has many questions for me, just as I have for him.

"Okay, listen to me carefully! There are two options! The first is that you behave quietly and obediently, give birth to my child, and I let you go in peace, forgiving your betrayal and debt, that is, the money that I lost because of you.

Oh, that will be your payment for my heir! My generous release from your debts!”

I can't breathe. An unexpected statement... Or is he mocking me again? Like in the forest!

“So...” I was shocked.

“So you're giving up the child and giving it to Kate and me! You're sisters anyway, so we could say it's Kate's child.”
