Chapter 5
3 days later
I could not believe it; this was still actually happening to me Nathan Curtis Silverman the billionaire.
My mother had died, and my father was in custody. Things like this did not happen to a person like me.
Maybe I'm dreaming. Yes, that's right, this is just one big giant dream and I would wake up very soon to find my mother and father eating breakfast while waiting for me to wake up. Yes, that's right. I said convincing myself.
However, this dream was taking too long as I now found myself in a house full of uninvited guests who were relatives I never knew about also offering me their condolences.
Some aunt, I didn't know I had, coming and forcing me to wake up, bathe, and change for my mother's supposed funeral. Heck, I wanted to have a word or two with my gatemen for letting these people in. They were causing me to be more insane.
Their fake smiles, condolences were killing me.
But at least they were taking care of everything the funeral things etc as I was just too numb to do anything. I did not go to school but spent the whole day in my room staring blankly at the wall and not eating anything.
The funeral was taking place at the house.
My shining angel Claire then came and hugged me with tears also on her face.
"I'm sorry, Nathan, I'm really sorry about your parents," she said to me. I accepted her hug as it was the only thing bringing warmth into my heart.
She then took me and forced me to go to the funeral which I did not want to go to as I was still in denial. The funeral was all extravagance with many celebrities in attendance, and the media was all over it. My dear Claire was enjoying the attention from all these famous people coming to offer their condolences to us whereas I was not enjoying this not one bit.
If one more person came to tell me how sorry they were about my mother, I was going to punch their lights out.
Luckily the funeral then started or else I would have ended up punching an old granny who had decided to be that other one more person to come offer their condolences next.
I just sat during the whole service blankly as people came all talking about how my mother was such a wonderful person.
It then came time to walk and look into the coffin. I could not, would not do it.
But I had to.
I slowly stood up and walked as slowly as I could dreading what I was going to see in that crystallized diamond coffin.
As I reached the coffin, fresh tears were already falling down my face.
I looked into the coffin and saw the beautiful flawless face of my mother. I couldn't help it as I realized this was happening, I wept and wept there on that coffin. Not caring that cameras were showing the whole world the funeral.
"I will miss you, Mother. Why did you leave me? I'm your son, you should have taken me with you." I then said to her lifeless form.
"I love you." I then said kissing her forehead and then I went straight to see my dear father even if the funeral was not over yet.
I was filled with so much rage. So much hatred of him. How could he do this to us? So, what if mother was cheating on him? That did not give him the right to kill her to take her away from me.
I had to pass through the horde of media paparazzi people all trying to talk to me but blocked by my bodyguards. I then quickly got into my Ferrari and drove straight there to the police station.
I entered the police station quickly and was led to see him.
As he saw me, he had dried tears on his face making me realize he had been watching the funeral on TV.
But I did not care. He could see the hate and rage on my face. I was so angry that if not for the glass blocking me, I would have killed him with my own bloody hands.
"Hello so–”
"Why did you do it? Why did you have to kill my mother?" I said shouting at him in anger and rage.
"Son I just saw her with the director kissing in bed and I just lost it. I saw red. I loved her with my whole heart and here I was traveling all the way to Spain for her so I could surprise her with a wedding diamond ring as I wanted us to wed again renewing our love for each other.” My father replied in rage, “I never meant to kill her, even now I can't even look at myself. I know you hate me son, but I hate myself even more for what I've done. In fact, I loathe myself. I should not have listened to the devil and done what I did. But please forgive me son as you are all I now have." He said to me with more fresh tears flowing down his face.
"Well, I want you to know that I'm not forgiving you ever because I hate you more than you hate yourself. I never want to see you ever again and I hope you rot in jail for what you have done." I said in true loathing as the pain of grieving was still so close to my heart.
Then left leaving my father calling my name after me as he knew I meant it.
