Under the table

"Fuck!" Kush cursed as he ran his hand through his hair.

"Shit kush, what will we do now?" She asked looking around.

"I don't know okay," he said as she looked at the washroom.

"Nope, too risky, maa-sa can go to use the washroom," Kush said as Nayera bit her lips.

"Right, what do we do now?" She asked looking at the door.

"You have to leave right now," he said as she picked up her things and covered her face with burkha.

Kush opened the door and looked down the corridor but to his bad luck, his mother was just on the other end of the corridor.

'if maa-sa saw era here then no one will be able to stop this potential world war 3 between maa-sa and her not going to happen bahu (daughter in law) 'Kush thought before he pushed her back into the cabin.

Her eyes widened in question as he looked at her.

"Maa-sa is just outside," he said as she placed her hands on her face.

"Shit," she looked around and then her angry gaze landed on him.

"What?" He asked.

"You are a royal right? " She asked.

"Yeah?" He answered confused.

"Then why don't you have any secret doors in this cabin? You are supposed to have secret doorways and shit around here," she said in a duh tone.

"That used to be in earlier times, era," he said looking out of the glass window.

"You are still royal, you are supposed to have the dooorrrrr ahhh!" Nayera cried as Kush suddenly picked her up in his arms.

"Idea is a real cliche but works," he said as he helped her fit in the leg space of the table.

"This is so stupid Kush," she said as he nodded.

"I know now stay here until maa-sa leaves, " he said as they both heard the door opening.

Nayera's eyes widened as she kept her hand on her lips.

She can't let herself make any noise right now. She is so not ready to handle the royal family maa-sa. Working with Kush is enough of a headache for her.

"Maa-sa," the enthusiasm in Kush's voice was extraordinary as he looked at his mother still looking at him sitting on the floor.

"What are you doing on the floor kush?" She asked leaning over.

"Nothing maa-sa, nothing, "Kush said as he glanced at Nayera.

"What are doing there instead of welcoming me like you always do?" She asked, folding her hands in front of her chest elegantly.

"I was... Looking for my favorite pen maa-sa, my favorite pen," he said as Nayera hit her head.

She glared at him before quickly pulling the pen from her bun.

"Your favorite pen?" His mother asked as she quickly stood up holding the ball pen in his hands

"Yes see, my favorite pen," he said with a nervous smile.

"Kush that is a ball pen you are holding, a normal 5 Rs. Ball pen," his mother pointed out. Kush never held them, his choice of pen was different, he liked them black.

" It—it runs real smooth maa-sa," he said as Nayera rolled her eyes under the table.

'I thought this man is an idiot only with me but no, he is an idiot everywhere,' she thought moving her leg slightly not making any noise to be a little comfortable.

"Kush, you are acting really weird, do u a fever or something?" His mother asked touching his forehead.

"Maa-sa I am fine, you please sit na, and I will order your favorite," he said as he picked up the intercom and ordered his mother's favorite cupcake and shake.

"Don't tell your father, I ate this," his mother said eating her cupcake.

"Bapu-sa will have my head if he gets to know you are this," Kush said as his mother giggled.

Nayera stayed quiet even though she was not able to watch them she could tell the relationship between mother and son was strong as a rock.

"I have my diabetes in check and why aren't you sitting?" She asked as he nodded.

Taking a seat, Nayera pinched his leg as he made a face.

"Kush I was here to actually address an issue," his mother said as he turned serious.

"You have a girlfriend and I would like to meet her, just me," she said as Kush but his lips.

He had not told Naeyera anything about the drama with his family, that he was not sharing any of the ideas with his family.

And now she was listening to everything from under the table.

What a great situation Kush!

"Maa-sa, she... I mean we..." Kush did not have the right words for this as he looked at Nayera who was throwing accusing glares at him while his mother was looking at him for an answer.

'why does this girl need to be so smart now I cannot even lie to her,' Kush thought gulping his Saliva.

"She—she is out of the country right now maa-sa," Kush said as the smile on his mother's face fell.

"Okay, at least a photo?" She asked with so much hope that Kush was afraid to break it.

"Maa-sa, all of them are on her phone," Kush lied.

"Okay," she said as she looked away.

"You could have at least told me kush," she said as she stood up.

"Maa-sa it's just..." Kush was trying to find the words.

"I will leave now and kush," she said as she was just about to step out of the cabin.

"Ask your girlfriend to hide her earrings as well the next time she decides to hide under the table, " his mother said as the color drained from his face.

"Bye beta," (child) she said as Kush looked under the table.

Nayera had the same look as him, he helped her get out of the tight space as they looked at each other and burst out laughing.

that was insane, Nayera commented as kush nodded.

yeah, weird as well
