Chapter 321

Chapter 321
Ice glared at Kenji. "I might be desperate, but I'm—"

"Leave my office." Kenji took a calculated step back, his hands swiftly sliding into his pockets, his gaze a mirror of total boredom.

Ice was stunned. "What?" He blinked in confusion.

Was the man bipolar or something? One second he was asking to marry him, the next he was an absolute ice king.

"What are you waiting for?" Kenji questioned, his brow slowly rising.

Ice gulped, staring at the door. He slowly realized he was being foolish. He had caused all that commotion just to see the boss, and now he was suddenly trying to throw the opportunity out the window without a second thought?

"You..." Ice cleared his throat, squaring his shoulders as he held Kenji's intimidating gaze. "You are not in love with me."

"Correct." Kenji nodded once, waiting for Ice to continue his assessment.

"Then why do you want to marry me?" Ice asked slowly.

"Business." And my ego, Kenji added internally.

Ice hesitated, staring at the watch on his wrist. Tar would be at the office, waiting for him to return with bad news as usual. Not today. If he had to marry this man... "What type of business—"

"That's none of your business. Your job is to be married to me for a year; we can sort out the rest later," Kenji cut him off. "Time is ticking, white cat... make your choice."

Ice balled his fists. "Do not call me that, Mr. Takumi," he corrected calmly. "There will be rules."

Kenji nodded. "There will be rules."

Ice sighed. He'd rather be on a bike speeding down some mountain, but instead, he was dressed in a suit and making deals with a man he swore never to have anything to do with.

"Where do I sign?" Ice asked coldly.

A dismissive smirk curled the corner of Kenji's lips as he strode back to the desk. He stood beside Ice, making sure his larger frame shadowed over him as he picked up the document and flipped it to the last page. Kenji set it down neatly on the desk, his hand deliberately brushing Ice's arm as he stepped back.

"Lower right," Kenji said.

Ice pulled his arm away, hating the way his skin prickled at Kenji's touch. Without speaking, he leaned over the desk and signed his life over to Kenji for a whole year.

"There. Signed." Ice straightened. "Now, can you—what are you doing?" He gasped as Kenji smoothly invaded his space, Ice's waist completely seized by Kenji's arms, pulling him flush against a broad chest.

"Kiss me," Kenji whispered.

"What?! No—"

"Shh..." Kenji pressed a warm finger against Ice's lips, his eyes glancing sharply at the door. "In the next minute, he's going to walk into this office, and I need him to believe that you're my husband," he whispered, dangerously close to Ice's lips.

Ice almost forgot how to breathe, his heart practically bouncing in his chest as Kenji's long finger pressed firmly against his soft lips, his brain short-circuiting. The hint of mint and an intoxicating, expensive cologne invaded Ice's nostrils, making him feel dizzying levels of delirious.

Keeping his eyes locked on the door, Kenji leaned his head down, bringing his lips directly to Ice's ear. His breath was hot against Ice's skin as he whispered, "I'm going to take off my finger. When I do... you kiss me like I'm in your fucking wet dream, alright?"

Kenji pulled back just enough for his darkened eyes to meet Ice's heated ones. The air between them crackled with unseen sparks. This wasn't like the night in Paris where both men had their guards up. This was raw, unintended attraction.

Ice's hand came up, wrapping tightly around Kenji's wrist. He didn't let the hand drop; he pulled Kenji's finger away from his lips, his blue eyes burning into Kenji's as he tipped up onto his toes and leaned in, his pulse hammering loudly in his ears.

"Deal," Ice whispered against Kenji's mouth.

Kenji smirked. "On your terms, white cat—" Ice closed the remaining distance, and the moment their lips touched, the entire room seemed to lose its gravity.

It wasn't a tentative stroke; it was a collision. Kenji's hands tightened around Ice's waist, gripping him with a sudden, bruising possessiveness that dragged Ice impossibly closer. Ice let out a soft, fractured gasp against Kenji's mouth, and Kenji immediately took advantage of it, parting Ice's lips and deepening the kiss with a slow, heavy hunger that made Ice's knees turn to water.

Ice's hands traveled up from Kenji's wrist, his fingers tangling desperately into the dark, neat hair at the nape of Kenji's neck, holding on as if he were falling off a cliff. The scent of rain and tobacco on Ice mixed with Kenji's clean mint and luxury cologne, creating something entirely intoxicating.

Every thought of corporate suits, dying companies, and scheming cousins vanished. There was only the thick, suffocating heat of Kenji's mouth, the dominant slide of his tongue, and the desperate, breathless way Ice was melting into him, matching his rhythm until their teeth grazed and the only thought in Ice's mind was how the real kiss was actually better than his wet dream!

Right at that exact, breathless second, the heavy wooden door of the office clicked and began to swing open.

"Ah, wrong timing," a man's voice spoke from the door.

Ice froze, his lips instantly pausing their movements against Kenji's as his senses flooded back to him with force.

He had kissed Kenji!

"Now, that's not how you kiss a man you think is boring," Kenji murmured and straightened, facing his guests as his hand found the small of Ice's back.

"Mr. President, Sebastian," Kenji greeted. "Meet my husband, Yukiya Takumi," he introduced.

Ice lifted his face to the door and froze all over.

The president was right there, and not just him—Sebastian Orion, a man rumored to have a pact with the devil, was right in front of him.

What exactly had he gotten himself into by marrying the infuriating man beside him?!
